Building and moving ponds or ancestral graves in the Toba Batak community, who have become Christians, is still practised today. The practice of building ponds is, of course, contrary to God's word, for that it needs to be responded to theologically and is the goal of this research. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method by reviewing the literature related to the research topic and reporting the findings in a description. The study results are as follows: First, building a pond with the motivation of asking for blessings from the ancestors is an act of sin. The gift of both physical and spiritual life comes from God and not the spirits of the ancestors. Second, moving and caring for ponds is wrong to prevent sickness and family quarrels because Christ bore all curses and diseases on the cross. Third, building a pond as a tribute to parents is wrong. The fifth commandment in Exodus 20:12 concerns respect for parents. It cannot be opposed to supporting the practice of building ponds. The substance of this verse is not only related to relations between humans but concerns God's blessing for His people to glorify God, the Creator, not ancestral spirits.

The pastor cannot be separated from his ministry life. In the church, the pastor is a leader, the attitudes and actions of pastors are often imitated by their congregation. Therefore, the pastor must maintain the attitudes and actions of his congregation as well as possible, the most important thing is that he must be able to set an example for others. For this reason, this article describes Paul's life teaching in serving as the goal in this writing which is beneficial for the implementation of the shepherd in serving God and others. Using descriptive qualitative method with literature study and analysis approach. So it can be concluded that the implementation of teaching about the life of the Apostle Paul in serving is based on 2 Timothy 3:10-17, among others: The Apostle Paul's Way of Life (Verse 10a). The Patience of the Apostle Paul (Verse 10b). The love of the Apostle Paul (Verse 10c). Perseverance of the Apostle Paul (Verse 10d). Live Hold on to the truth (Verse 14). Seek to know the Scriptures (Verse 15a). Wisdom (Verse 15b). Faith in Jesus (Verse 15). Living in the Word (Verse 16) Willing to Teach God's Word (Verse 16a). Willing to admit mistakes (Verse 16b). Willing to correct behavior (Verse 16c). Willing to be educated in the truth (Verse 16d). Willing to do good (Verse 17). All of this can be a guide for pastors in implementing Paul's teachings for the church and its ministry entrusted by God.

Abstrak: Pantun memiliki ciri tersendiri, yaitu memiliki rima atau harmoni bunyi pada kata akhir larik ganjil (L-1 dan L-3) dan larik genap (L-2 dan L-4). Dalam kenyataannya harmoni bunyi tidak hanya terdapat pada kata akhir larik, tetapi juga pada kata awal dan tengah larik. Kajian ini mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana harmoni bunyi kata antarlarik ganjil dan genap pantun di tiga posisi: awal, tengah, dan akhir. Dasar analisis menggunakan konsep vokal, konsonan, diftong, dan suku kata. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa harmoni bunyi antarlarik ganjil dan genap pantun minimal terdapat dalam satu suku kata dan maksimal terdapat dalam semua suku kata. Harmoni bunyi dapat ditandai oleh hanya satu bunyi, seperti [i] pada suku kata -si dan -ji di kata besi dan berjanji; dua bunyi, seperti [r] dan [a] pada suku kata -ra di kata mutiara dan bicara, atau semua bunyi pada sebuah kata karena diulang, seperti kata kalau, bukan, dan emas.Kata Kunci:  antarlarik,  harmoni bunyi,  pantun Abstract: Pantun have special characteristics, harmony of sounds or repetition of words at final word in odd (L-1 and L-3) and even (L-2 and L-4) lines. In reality the harmony of sounds is not only found in the final word of the line, but olso at the beginning and middle. This study reveals and describes the harmony of sounds between odd and even lines of pantun in three positions, the beginning, middle, and final lines. Vocal, consonant, diphthong, and syllable concept are used to analysed. Descriptive qualitative method is used in this study. Results of this research showed that harmony of sounds between odd and even lines exist in minimal one syllable and maximum all syllable. The harmony of sounds can be characterized by one sound, for example [i] in syllable –si and –ji of besi and berjanji, by two sounds, for example [r] dan [a] in syllable -ra of mutiara and bicara words, or all sounds of a word because repetition, for example kalau, bukan, and emas.Keywords: between lines, harmony of sound, pantun

Christianity is inseparable from ministry either in a holistic mission or a church ministry. As one of the gifts given by God in believers who must be actualized to God and others through a special gift, namely the gift of serving. Using descriptive qualitative method, the writer analyzes and examines the meaning of the gift of service which is expected to increase understanding and can have an impact on God's servants. which the purpose of writing is to bring believers more active in serving through the gift of serving. By understanding Christian service in Romans 12: 7, it can be concluded that the gift of serving is a must for believers given to him by God. For that the servant is expected to be able and careful in understanding the theological review in Romans 12: 7, so that the servant realizes that the service entrusted is an honor given by God and is done with sincerity as the dedication of a believer who receives gifts based on the example of Jesus. Then interpret service in socio-theology, which makes the meaning of serving which must be actualized to God and others as part of being a blessing for the world. Kekristenan tidak lepas dari pelayanan baik secara misi holistik maupun pelayanan gereja. Sebagai salah satu dalam karunia yang diberikan oleh Tuhan dalam kepada orang percaya yang harus diaktualisasikan kepada Tuhan dan sesama lewat karunia khusus yaitu karunia melayani. Menggunakan metode kulaitatif deskriptif, penulis menganalisis dan mengkaji makna karunia melayani yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan dapat membawa dampak bagi para pelayan Tuhan. yang mana tujuan dalam penulisan ini untuk membawa orang percaya semakin giat dalam melayani lewat karunia melayani. Dengan memahami melayani menurut Kristen dalamRoma 12: 7, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Karunia melayani adalah sebuah keharusan bagi orang percaya yang kepadanya diberikan oleh Tuhan. Untuk itu pelayan diharapakan mampu  dan cermat dalam memahami tinjauan teologis dalam Roma 12: 7, sehingga pelayan menyadari bahwa pelayanan yang dipercayakan adalah kehormatan yang diberikan Tuhan dan dikerjakan dengan kesungguhan sebagai dedikasi orang percaya yang menerima karunia yang didasari  dari keteladanan Yesus. Lalu memaknai pelayanan dalam sosio-teologi, yang menjadikan makna melayani yang harus diaktualisasikan.

This research focused on communicative functions used in Ulaon Pogu ni Alaman in Exhumation (Mangongkal Holi) at funeral ceremony in Toba Batak. This research was conducted by applying descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected from the transcript utterances of Ulaon Pogu ni Alaman at funeral ceremony in Toba Batak. The findings of the study show that there are 100 utterances which consist of six communicative functions which is referential, emotive, poetic, conative, phatic, and metalinguistic. The most dominant type of communicative functions used in Ulaon Pogu ni Alaman in Exhumation (Mangongkal Holi) at funeral ceremony in Toba Batak is referential function. It means that the communication used in Ulaon Pogu ni Alaman intended to establish the description and contextual information that happened on that day. Keywords: communicative functions; Batak Toba; funeral ceremony; Ulaon Pogu ni Alaman.

This study is aimed to analyze what the feminism varieties and how is the feminism in patriarchal reflected by main character Annisa in Perempuan Berkalung Sorban movie. This study is conducted with the descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data of the analysis is Perempuan Berkalung Sorban movie and the data are linguistic feature that are format as sentence by the main character. The data were collected by the documentary technique and the instrument is documentary sheets. The study results that (1) The main character reflected the feminism varieties. Based on the Feminist Thought book there are three varieties of feminism. Liberal feminism, Radical feminism and Socialist Marxists feminism. The main character reflected the three kinds of feminism such as Liberal Feminism, Radical feminism, Socialist Marxist Feminism. The main character Annisa is reflected most dominant appeared Radical feminism. Annisa is powerful and rebellious women. She wants to get the equal with the man without any discrimination gender. (2) The feminism in patriarchal society in reflected is Annisa to represent the women movement to against all of objection toward woman. The each utterances of Annisa represent she is against all forms of women discrimination in private patriarchy and public patriarchy. The research focuses on the analysis of feminism in patriarchal society in the main character can be interpreted through Annisa as a main character and sentences of the movie and it is found of the main character reflected the feminism in a patriarchal society.Keywords:feminism, varieties, patriarchal, main character, movie.

Society has an essential role in the implementation and development of a tradition in its environment. The traditional ceremony of Bersih Desa in Kedungbendo Village is one of the traditions still carried out today. The community also plays a role in the implementation of the traditional ceremony of Bersih Desa in Kedungbendo Village. This study used the descriptive qualitative method. The sources of data in this study came from informants, places, events, and documents. The data was collected by using interviews, direct observation, and documents. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the reason people still carry out the tradition of Bersih Desa is that it belongs as a legacy from their ancestors. Since it is a legacy, its existence must be preserved. The traditional ceremony of Bersih Desa is also used as a medium between humans to express gratitude to God for the blessings and redemption given. The traditional ceremony of Bersih Desa is also carried out with the purpose and hope that the village community's life will be much better with the blessings received so that nothing terrible happens to the village community.

(2) The training program at dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon (GPD) Salatiga in the year of 2015-2019. (3) The condition of facilities and infrastructures in supporting the achievement development of dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon (GPD) Salatiga in 2015 – 2019. (4) The development of taekwondo achievement of dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragoon (GPD) Salatiga in 2015 – 2019. This study uses descriptive qualitative method. The data collecting method in this study is obtained through interview, observation, and document archive. The interview is conducted with the administrator and the coach. The observation is conducted directly regarding the condition of facilities and infrastructures owned by dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon (GPD) in the year of 2015-2019. The collecting data is obtained from the document archive related with the sport achievement development of dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon in 2015-2019. The sample collecting technique selected is by purposive and snowball sample. </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: JA; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">To find the validity of the data, it uses triangulation technique. The analysis technique used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained will be compiled and analyzed based on the variables analyzed so that obtained the overview of the taekwondo achievement development of dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon (GPD) Salatiga in the year of 2015-2019. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that: (1) the training of taekwondo at dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon (GPD) Salatiga year 2015-2019 has the criteria of moderate. (2) The training program at dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon (GPD) Salatiga year 2015-2019 has the moderate criteria. (3) Dojang Great Pioneer of The dragon (GPD) Salatiga year 2015-20119 has inadequate facilities and infrastructures. (4) The achievements of dojang Great Pioneer of The Dragon (GPD) Salatiga in 2015-2019 are not always similar in every competition. The aims are to find out: 1) the types of code switching used in the Toba Batak wedding ceremony, 2) how the participants switch language in the process of Toba Batak wedding ceremony, and 3) reason why the participants switch language in the process of Toba Batak wedding ceremony. The data were obtained from the utterances of participants which contain code switching during the process of Toba Batak wedding ceremony precisely in Marhaban, replying and exchanging the verses of rhymes, exchanging of Tepak, and upah-upah stages. They were analyzed by using some steps as normally applied in descriptive qualitative method. The instruments of data collection were audio visual recorder. The findings of the study indicate that; a) Three types of code switching found namely intrasentential, intersentential and tag switching b) Participants in Toba Batak wedding ceremony mix some languages based on participants’ tribes which involved in the process of Toba Batak wedding ceremony and they also adjust the situation and the condition of the people c) Three reasons of code switching during the process of Toba Batak wedding ceremony namely the differences of family’s tribes, religion factor and place of wedding ceremony be held. The approach is an essential part of language teaching. This is a way of looking at teaching and learning. One of the techniques of Arabic language teaching is the Integrated Skills Approach. This approach combines four language skills in the learning process. This study aims to describe the mastery approach and its implementation in learning Arabic. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study were collected through library research. Based on the study results, it was found that using the integrated skills approach in learning Arabic will train students in the use of language in its entirety and naturally, which includes receptive and productive language activities. Because in real life these four skills are not used separately.
