The urge to be vaccinated has increased rapidly during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Resorting vaccine products is seen as the only way to break the chain of COVID-19 spread and eventually stop the pandemic. To this dire need, many consumers face the dilemma to be vaccinated or to opt-out of the vaccination program when the safety issues of vaccine products are widely circulated. The Muslim consumers, particularly, experiences double worry on the issue of safety and halal status of the vaccine product. Due to the emergency call to have the vaccine in the market as soon as possible, the innovation and production were carried out in an expedited manner, and the necessity to have the vaccine be certified as halal was bypass. When the news on the vaccine product uses non-halal ingredients reaches the Muslim community in Malaysia, they were taken aback and demanded immediate answers from the authorities. Thus, in addressing this issue, this study intends to critically analyse the role of NPRA and JAKIM in ensuring the safety and halal status of a product with the aim of suggesting a review of the existing role. This article adopts a qualitative research methodology where interviews will be the supporting method to a library-based and doctrinal study.

The fashion industry being one of the most polluting industries in the world means that it is an industry with an immense potential for change. Consumers are central and are closely intertwined with how companies act. This research reflects consumer perspectives and practices towards the topic of sustainability implemented in the fashion industry. The relevance of sustainability in the fashion industry and the key role of consumers in its implementation are undeniable and confirmed by consumers in a representation of general awareness and concern, despite not always being translated into actual practices. A qualitative research methodology, followed by a set of interviews conducted with consumers, revealed that the great majority are implementing a variety of practices when making their buying choices towards fashion items. Barriers such as lack of education, information, knowledge and transparency were identified, and this aspect was shared by consumers as a reason why they are not motivated to make more conscious decisions. Companies should educate consumers from a general perspective and focus on the group of consumers that are not implementing sustainability in the fashion industry in their buying choices, as they represent the potential for the future.

The qualitative research methodology of phenomenography has traditionally required a manual sorting and analysis of interview data. In this paper I explore a potential means of streamlining this procedure by considering a computer aided process not previously reported upon. Two methods of lexicological analysis, manual and automatic, were examined from a phenomenographical perspective and compared. It was found that the computer aided process - Leximancer - was a valid investigative tool for use in phenomenography. Using Leximancer was more efficacious than manual operation; the researcher was able to deal with large amounts of data without bias, identify a broader span of syntactic properties, increase reliability, and facilitate reproducibility. The introduction of a computer aided methodology might also encourage other qualitative researchers to engage with phenomenography.

This article explains the development of the French government system and the division of executive power between President de la République and Premier Ministre after the change from the fourth constitution to the fifth constitution of the republic. This research applies a qualitative research methodology using a historical approach. The results of this study show that France is one of four countries implementing a mixed government system. The President and the Prime Minister, who are the executive authorities, should both lead the country. The role of the President and the Prime Minister may seem similar, but it is not the same. The President has the authority to elect the Prime Minister. Based on article 8 of the fifth constitution, the President has the right to elect and appoint the Prime Minister and terminate him/her if the concerned person declares his/her resignation from his/her government.

This article aims to examine the experiences of human resource professionals (HRPs) in managing crises posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Employing qualitative research methodology, in-depth interviews with 24 HRPs of different industries were carried out. The findings indicate how the HRPs have navigated through five phases of the crisis as (a) anticipatory; (b) crisis; (c) adjustment; (d) rebounding; (e) continuance or reverting to old ways, struggling with many decisions and actions. The periods that companies took to navigate these different stages and the success of how they faced the crises posed by the pandemic mainly depend on factors such as the level of preparedness, nature of the industry, availability of resources, and role of the HRPs. The learning from the experiences of the HRPs and the phases they have navigated through will help to successfully manage similar crises in the future.

Through the use of a qualitative research methodology, the present work enquires whether in the actual scenery talking about leadership in companies and services would still make sense. The study arises from the growing importance that tertiary companies have assumed during the last decade, and from the direct relation between frontline staff and customers, who – as it is well known – distinguishes tertiary organizations from manufacturing organizations. Through a systematic review of the literature some guidelines will be hypothesized, in order to define a replicable innovative directional paradigm in services companies, motivating how the role of leadership should be at the same time cleared out by some traditional variables and enriched with alternative features.

This paper attempts to investigate the necessity of improved China-Bangladesh relation tointegrating into Sino-Myanmar connectivity following qualitative research methodology andsecondary literature. To realise Bangladesh's economic dream and attain its geostrategicpriority, she needs to extend her connectivity with the Southeast and East Asian countries.Though Bangladesh maintains excellent relationships with her giant neighbour India, it isconjectured that sole reliance of Bangladesh over India is perhaps not enough to fulfil her vision. However, to reach out to the east, she needs to fortify her relationship with her other neighbourMyanmar as the gateway. A sustained and stable relation with Myanmar opens the scope forBangladesh to tread into Sino-Myanmar connectivity, which will eventually assist Bangladesh toattain her dream. Here comes the role of China, which traditionally has a time-tested bond withMyanmar. Bangladesh has a deep-rooted historical tie with China which leaves room forBangladesh to exploit in the fields of economy, foreign policy, energy security and geostrategicissues. Bangladesh has much to gain from China by integrating herself into a good number ofChina-led regional initiatives. Good relation with China is essential for Bangladesh to integrateinto Sino-Myanmar connectivity, which is vital to realise her dream. However, while Bangladeshneeds to make India believe that whatever relations she is fostering with China is only for hereconomic progress, not for challenging India’s hegemony.

This paper deals with the role of wasi in the administration of minor’s property under the provision of codified Islamic law in Malaysia. The focus of the discussion is on the power of wasi in managing minor’s property under his legal authority. The question is: To what extent the provision of the Islamic law that is codified in Malaysia prescribes the duties and powers of wasi in relation to the management of minor’s property? Further, what is the safeguard that has been taken by the legal provisions in order to ensure that the minor’s property is well managed and is not infringed and embezzled by the wasi? The research adopts qualitative research methodology which focuses on an examination of the statutory provisions on the role of wasi, including his duties and powers and control in the administration of minor’s property. The paper also discusses the appointment of wasi, his position and his condition in administering minor’s property and the situation where the wasi is removed from his office. It is found that there is the inadequacy of the law in relation to the role of wasi in the administration of minor’s property. In addition to that, some provisions require further clarification and elaboration. The language choice in the advertisement posters carries a significant role in the absence of audio input. The role of advertisements in the landscape of trade and commerce led many studies in different linguistic communities on the form of the language used but nothing over the choice of Bangla-English code-switching. This leads the study to focus primarily on the purposes of code-switching in advertisement posters. From a sociolinguistic perspective this study tried to explore the relationship between language choice in poster advertisements and consumers’ attitudes toward it. In order to have authentic data, all the stakeholders, i.e. sellers, consumers and copywriters, were taken into consideration. Qualitative research methodology was introduced to interview the 29 participants selected by judgment sampling from those stakeholders through three different semi structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed thematically. The results revealed various purposes of Bangla-English code-switching including communication, drawing consumers’ attention, lack of terminologies and many more.
