Generally, there is a gap in Total Quality Management (TQM) of education in the application of the management of tahfidz al-Qur'an in Islamic boarding schools. The purpose of this study is to determine the Total Quality Management (TQM) model of the Tahfidz al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School which is based on the Edward Sallis Education TQM model, in order to realize the National Education Standards (SNP). This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. The research site is a modern Islamic boarding school at the Tahfidz Daarul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, Tangerang City, Banten, Indonesia. Data collection techniques in this study used in-depth interviews, observation, and literature. While data analysis in making decisions using Miles and Huberman (data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions). The results showed that there were 12 elements of TQM Pesantren Tahfidz al-Qur'an, including leadership, commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, integrated curriculum, and learning evaluation, learning media and models, education & training, infrastructure standards, finance and financing, public relations and pesantren, unity of vision and mission, and objectives, as well as analyzing the situation.

This study aims to provide an overview of the process of cultural change through total quality management in Islamic perspective carried out at Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School. The method of the study is qualitative method by using in-depth interview techniques with informants. This research was conducted at the Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School, Depok City, West Java. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis with the stages of reducing data, triangulating data, presenting data descriptively, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results showed that cultural change through total quality management at Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School was seen from 7 focuses. The focus of planning for Islamic boarding schools is still focused on current conditions. The focus of the organization is participatory by involving all individuals to improve the quality of education and to develop Islamic boarding schools. The focus of control is still in the form of monitoring and supervising each section based on the existing SOP. The focus of communication has been two-way communication. The focus of the decision is still reactive and not based on well planning even though decisions are made based on deliberation and consensus. The focus of functional management has not been fully integrated. The focus of quality management is still reactive because it is still in the stage of finding the best and most suitable method to be applied in Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, the process of cultural change at Daar El Manshur Islamic Boarding School has begun to occur.

<p class="15cKeywordsBInggris">Islamic religious of schools that Qur’anic Education, Diniyah and Islamic Boarding School, have Regulation Goverment No. 20/2003, those of a place urgent for development of nations in the future. The Nasional of Education Systems have varians of national education and foundation education have bring a quality its are equity with general Education. The quality of national schools system have under position in Asian State that Singapura, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. This time and in the future Islamic religious school are face of competation with schools in regional as well as international. This era a degree amongts on Asian Nations in freedom trade in MEA. This religious education cannot be avoided and the alumni must prepare themselves with science and technology as well as other competencies or skills. There is already an instrument in this education but to respond to the challenges that need revitalization in its curriculum and this education is managed with total quality management.</p><p class="16aJudulAbstrak"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p class="16bIsiAbstrak">Pendidikan keagamaan Islam seperti Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran, Diniyah dan Pesantren telah dipayungi oleh UU No. 20/2003 dan menjadi salah satu pilar penting dalam pengembangan pendidikan nasional ke depan. Pendidikan ini telah menjadi bagian dari sistem pendidikan nasional yang kualitasnya diarahkan setara dengan pendidikan nasional pada umumnya dan bahkan pada tingkat regional maupun internasional. Kualitas pendidikan nasional yang di dalamnya ada pendidikan ini masih berada di bawah negara-negara Asia seperti Singapura, Thailand, Malaysia dan Vietnam. Saat ini dan mendatang produk pendidikan berada di tengah kompetisi perdagangan antar negara di tingkat regional maupun internasional. Di masa ini telah menghadapi perdagangan bebas antar negara Asia yang disebut dengan MEA. Hal ini tidak bisa dihindari oleh pendidikan keagamaan ini dan alumninya harus menyiapkan dirinya dengan ilmu dan teknologi serta kompetensi atau keterampilan lainnya. Telah ada di pendidikan ini instrumennya namun untuk merespons tantangan yang ada diperlukan revitalisasi di kurikulumnya dan pendidikan ini dikelola dengan total quality management.</p>

This study addresses managers’ awareness and familiarity with Total Quality Management (TQM). Eighteen (18) semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with managers working in a variety of service organizations in Greece. The major argument of the study is that although the acronym TQM and some of its concepts and practices are known by a range of public and private sector managers, actual awareness of its “soft” side is often superficial, and managers have a relatively poor understanding of it. TQM is neither resisted nor directly absorbed by them, but they tend to see it from the technical point of view, being aware only of the importance of its “hard” aspects.

  The purpose of this study is to describe how the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) at SDI Sabilina, Cibur, Bekasi. In this study, the author uses descriptive qualitative methods, namely research methods that utilize qualitative data and are described descriptively. Data was collected using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation methods. The research was conducted on Wednesday, June 09, 2021, at SDI Sabilina from 13.00-16.00. Checking the validity of the data is carried out through member checks, namely the process of checking data carried out by researchers to research subjects or resource persons, and discussions with colleagues.

The Ministry of Education as a school, or even aware of the importance of quality in the classroom for more than 10 years of Total Quality Management Implementation Project realized. There are schools and institutions, its impact on the project and the situation is important in terms of labor spent on studies. Total Quality Management in all public institutions, as well as contemporary participatory management approach and implementation of the national education system in the process of habituation occurred. Exchange of training programs, the implementation of student-centered educational programs is a positive development in the process of implementation of TQM. Where leading executives adopted the philosophy of TQM, continuous improvement targeted, small but continuous steps were taken forward, with one study achieved full participation is not possible to reach the success of Total Quality Management practices . This Thesis studies about application of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving education quality (an experimental sudy at STAIN Watampone). The perfuse of this research is to know the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving education quality in STAIN Watampone. The main problem of this research is application of Total Quality Management (TQM) and the increasing of education quality in STAIN Watampone?. What about the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving the education quality and what about the prospect of (challange and oppurtunity) Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving education quality in STAIN Watampone.This research is a field research by using qualitative method with a observation technic, interview, and documentation. Analysing the data process is using normative approach, sosiologycal approach, pedagocical approach and management approach. Then the Total Quality Management (TQM) more little which is not sampled because of population, but the first total informan is more little getting increase to the data needed.The result of the research refers to the education quality in STAIN Watampone refers to the education quality is enough enable by STATUTA and academic orientation. The educational quality STAIN Watampone refers to superiority of human resource quality of implementation of state collage is STAIN area. Concept, principle, and application TQM that aplicated in STAIN Watampone as principle refers to leadership concept that to try influencing, moving on, and directing the people to cooperative in reaching the one purpose that appropriate in reaching with standard quality which have decided by STATUTA and academic orientation STAIN Watampone. In the future, STAIN Watampone can change status from STAIN to be IAIN or University certainly, they can change the abstract be a challange that must realizated.Base on the result of the research, there are implication and recommendation to the competen side by improving learner process the future. There are by application of Total Quality Management (TQM) is hoped being able to improving educational quality in a educational institute to the Total Quality Management (TQM) must focus by stakeholder. By institute, expecially STAIN Watampone is hoped can apply TQM concept thay can will produce output give significant influence in qualitative method although by quantitative method.
