The surveillance of home places through sensors and the prevention of problems via prediction are of vital importance for the safety of these areas. Fires usually occur in homes due to inattention and changes in environmental conditions. They cause threats to the residential community and may lead to human death and property damage. Thus, house fires must be detected as early as possible to prevent these types of threats. This study provides a simple design for a wireless fire detection network system. This system is meant to notify the household of a fire occurrence in the house by sending a short message through the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). In order to pre-monitor the possibility of a fire, the Arduino programmed board receives temperatures and humidity levels from sensors. When it detects that the collected data exceeds a predefined and precalculated threshold, it promptly communicates with the wireless system and sends an alert message to the user through the GSM.

The early warning systems for flood management have been developed rapidly with the growth of technologies. These system help to alert people early with the used of Short Message Service (SMS) via Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). This paper presents a simple, portable and low cost of early warning system using Arduino board, which is used to control the whole system and GSM shields to send the data. System has been designed and implemented based on two components which is hardware and software. The model determines the water level using float switch sensors, then it analyzes the collected data and determine the type of danger present. The detected level is translated into an alert message and sent to the user. The GSM network is used to connect the overall system units via SMS.

Fire is a problem that can happen at any time. Delay in coping with house fires can induce in loss of human life or material. If the fire is not held severely, incidents like house fires can occur and create more significant losses, especially with the increasing number of residents’ settlements in the formation of huddled houses, which will be more challenging to handle in case of a fire. This research aims to build a prototype system that quickly helps house owners and firefighters to detect fires and gas leaks. This home fire detection system is utilized to measure room temperature and gas levels in a room, then the output of this system is sending information of short messages and alarms. The results revealed that the prototype room with a scale of 1:25, 1:50, and 1:75 which uses a temperature sensor and a gas sensor could run as desired. In 10 testing trials, the system works according to the designed plan, which means the system could interpret the temperature and gas leakage of a room, then the system will send a short message and ring the alarm.

In this paper we are focusing on automatic billing and metering, The GSM Short Message Service (SMS) and Arduino connection gives the metre reading system several predefined automatic capabilities. The energy consumption and electricity bill and loads will be providing through GSM module to the customer and to the concern electricity department. An alert message will be send to the customer and vigilance squad when the consumption unit reading reaches beyond the specific threshold. And loads on and off through gsm This paper contains energy consumption details in terms of power units and power units will be displayed on the LCD and will be notified to the customer via SMS and customer will also be able to recharge with the help of GSM module as well as microcontroller.

Lately, there are frequent fires caused by human factors. Because we cannot predict the process of fire in advance. And the delay in knowing the occurrence of a fire is very fatal to the safety of human life and property. With advances in technology, we can overcome fires by making early fire detection devices. With the presence of temperature and smoke detectors, we can detect fires as early as possible and be delivered quickly via alarms and SMS gateways. The main component of this fire detector is the Arduino Uno. This Arduino uno acts as the brain of the fire detection device. This tool works based on the detection of the temperature condition by the DHT11 temperature sensor, which is when the temperature is above normal, an alert notification will be sent via the SMS gateway and so will the MQ2 smoke and the buzzer will sound as a warning alarm.

The tremendous growth in mobile communications has affected our lives significantly. The mobile phone is now pervasive and used in virtually every sector of human activity—private, business, and government. Its usage is not restricted to making basic phone calls; instead, digital content, products, and services are offered. Among them, mobile commerce (m-commerce) holds a very important and promising position. M-commerce can be defined as: using mobile technology to access the Internet through a wireless device such as a cell phone or a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), in order to sell or buy items (products or services), conduct a transaction, and perform supply-chain or demand-chain functions (Adams, 2001). Within the context of the present study, we shall examine widespread used and emerging m-commerce services, from early ones (i.e., SMS [Short Message Service]) to innovative (i.e., mobile banking and specific products offered by known suppliers). We shall also investigate some important factors for the development of m-commerce, as well as some existing risks. Particular emphasis is given to the issue of collaboration among the key-players for developing standardization, interoperability, and security, and for obtaining market penetration.

As we all know forests are the main source of oxygen and its protection is essential to sustain the human and animal race. Since we all learnt about the necessity of air, yet we lack at taking measures to protect our mother forest. Forest Fires are the main reason for the deforestation and destruction of trees and wildlife. Forest Fires are due to these two ways either by man-made or naturally caused. In either way we have to pay for the loss occurred because we have left with only certain area for the forest. So, we have to take measures to prevent forest fire at its early stage. The main aim of our project is to design and implement an IoT based hardware module that could detect the fire and prevent it by alerting the monitoring stations with an alert message and also provides location to the nearest base station. An automatic message will be sent to the nearest base station in addition to these, it has a 360 degrees rotation camera which helps to provide continuous surveillance. We can rotate the camera in any direction from the base station itself. A buzzer that alarms when the incident is happening and a water motor, this water motor will be on automatically. We can also find location where the incident is taking place with the help of Wi-Fi module. This device helps in identifying the fire at its early stage and helps in the prevention of spread all over the forest.
