Nigeria with a total land area of 190,771 square kilometers and over 200 million populations requires not only a functional transportation system, but also adequate resources for development efficient operations, as well as management of transportation sector. Resources, most especially in financial context are extremely crucial to the provisions, maintenance, management and sustenance of transportation system in order to efficiently operate various socio-economic engagements in the country. Hence, government at all levels in Nigeria usually makes financial provisions, most especially through annual budget for this vital sector among other competing needs. It is in this context that this paper examined insufficient resources in relation to transportation system in Nigeria with a view to improving mobility and accessibility and enhancing investment potentials socio-economic transactions in the country. This paper relied mostly on data from secondary sources through literatures, publication and other prints materials. This paper established that the resources deployed to the transportation sector through the yearly budgetary allocation are grossly inadequate. It therefore recommended an upward review in the budgetary allocation to the transportation sector so as to meet the growing demand of Nigerian from the sector.

In globalizing world which removed all the borders, and thus transportation of goods with minimum price is required. Up to the present, there has not been found any solution instead of transportation. Turkey, as one of the world countries, giving preference transportation (passenger or cargo) by road has increased the cost of logistic sector. The being 95 % of road transportation in all transportation systems and not to care about other ways of transportation has caused much loss of life and property every year. The importance of logistic industry in recent years has begun to be noticed and tried to be renewed by many people. In this study, improving logistic sector and logistics management in Turkey and outsourcing were overemphasized. So, failures were analysed and looked for any way to solve problems. In actuality, to bring down the cost and compete with other companies, we have to get under control the transportation and discipline it. Also, it shouldn't be forgotten that outsourcing will cause competitive advantage in transportation sector. The service quality of outsourcing depends on the expertise of the instution. In addition, container transportation system which has made progress since the 1980s has become very significant. Container transportation that is from a port to port raised the importance of harbours more. Container transportation system has led to the emergence of the concept of ''terminal''. Thanks to container terminals, logistic services have become economic, efficient and more secure. Especially in our country, as a result of privatization, a large part of ports have been transferred to private companies and these companies have made necessary studies for bottom structure of their ports and pave the way for working properly. And this can be a good model as a development of logistic sector in our country.

Abstract The transportation sector accounts for over 20 percent of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Colorado which without intervention will grow to over 30 million metric tons (MMT) of GHG emissions per year. This study seeks to develop a specific characterization of the Colorado fuel and transportation system using a customized life cycle assessment (LCA) model. The model (CO-GT) was developed as an analytical tool to define Colorado’s 2020 baseline life cycle GHG emissions for the transportation sector, and to examine Colorado-specific pathways for GHG reductions through fuel types and volumes changes that might be associated with a state clean fuel standard (CFS). By developing a life cycle assessment of transportation fuels that is specific to the state of Colorado’s geography, fleet makeup, policies, energy sector and more, these tools can evaluate various proposals for the transition towards a more sustainable state transportation system. The results of this study include a quantification of the Colorado-specific roles of clean fuels, electricity, extant policies, and fleet transition in projections of the state’s 2030 transportation sector GHG emissions. Relative to a 2020 baseline, electrification of the vehicle fleet is found to reduce state-wide lifecycle GHG emissions by 7.7 MMT CO2e by 2030, and a model CFS policy able to achieve similar reductions in the carbon intensity of clean fuels as was achieved by California in the first 10 years of its CFS policies is found to only reduce state-wide lifecycle GHG emissions by 0.2 MMT CO2e by 2030. These results illustrate the insensitivity of Colorado’s transportation fleet GHG emissions reductions to the presence of CFS policies, as proposed to date.

Introduction: Population growth is critical for sustainable development in the true sense. Overpopulation indicates a scenario in which the population of a living species exceeds the carrying capacity of its ecological niche. So far, India's family planning programmes have seen only limited success because the programmes have not tackled the issue in a holistic way. Methodology: The paper aims to examine the trend and effect of population in India. This study is descriptive in nature based basically on data of secondary sources collected from government offices, books, articles, various census reports, and websites published in different times. Result and Discussion: India occupies 2.4 per cent of the world's land area and supports over 17.5 per cent of the world's population. There are some vital impacts of overpopulation such as Food Shortage, Deforestation, Water shortage, Energy, Extinction, etc. Conclusion: Stabilising population is an essential requirement for promoting sustainable development. India's population policy needs to be based on concrete measures that not only help to solve our population problem but also helps the poor to improve their lives in tangible and meaningful ways.

Saskatchewan has the highest number of landfills per capita in Canada. Given the lower population density and the skewed spatial population distribution, comprehensive analysis of municipal solid waste management systems in Saskatchewan is inherently difficult. Most of the published waste studies however focus on city-level waste management, and there is a lack of literature with respect to the rural areas. In this study, landfills and transfer stations are examined temporally and spatially using Geographic Information System. Landfills and transfer stations from 2017 and 2020 were plotted against census division land area, annual budget, and population density to study temporal changes. Saskatchewan witnessed a 54% reduction in the number of landfills and a 55% increase in number of transfer stations between 2017 and 2020. The replacement of landfills with transfer stations are more noticeable in divisions 8, 9, and 16. Regression analysis is conducted, and landfill closure operation show no obvious correlation to division land area, annual budget, or population density. Rural division 18, representing Northern Saskatchewan, has approximately 45% of the land area in the province and has the lowest population density. The findings suggest different waste management strategies are required for urban and rural areas. The results of this study will help policy makers to better implement solid waste management strategies in urban and rural areas.

There has been a growing interest in the development of income-generating Waqf (endowments) properties in recent times. This is quite justifiable considering the fact that Waqf properties estimated to worth up to USD 1 Trillion globally have failed to generate adequate income to meet up the maintenance costs thus resulting in poor maintenance and the inability of these properties to meet Waqf objectives. Consequently, this paper presents preliminary findings on an on-going research aimed at developing a maintenance management framework for income-generating Waqf properties. Data were gathered through content analysis and secondary sources. Findings in this paper indicate that the inadequate maintenance of Waqf properties is partly due to relatively low rents and high rental arrears. The paper also gathered that despite the unique features of Waqf, there is no specific study aimed at developing a user-driven maintenance management framework for income-generating Waqf properties. Such omission could slow down the much-anticipated progress particularly at this point in time when different funding initiatives have resulted in the construction of high-rise income-generating properties on Waqf lands. The paper also provided current information on the state of income-generating Waqf properties in Kuala Lumpur.

This paper is about the linkage between party's ideological orientation and subsequent education reforms once they come into government after winning elections by taking Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a case study. It was found that though the improvement was made in certain aspects of education like budgetary allocation, erection of monitoring mechanisms and healthy up rise movement in enrolment. However, they were found wanting on one crucial front: reforms in textbooks and curriculum. Certain changes were made at the cost of others that came under criticism from some segment of society which again led to the Islamization of curriculum. The province had long struggled to make some healthy changes in the books by the previous government, but all this was revised by the incumbent government. Data was collected through secondary sources by consulting books, research paper, reports and newspaper articles.

The development of digitalisation has penetrated the transportation sector. Indonesia has become a market for ride-sharing startups which has proliferated in the past three years. This article aimed to understand the hidden interests and dominance occurring in industrial relations in the sharing economy system in Grab Indonesia, especially in GrabCar services. The formulations of the problem in this paper were: whether the cause of the conflict between Grab company and its business partners reflected the company's or business partners’ hidden interests? And then, what were the implications of the conflict on industrial relations for Grab and its partners?. This study used a qualitative approach with the Verstehen method to find the deepest and intersubjective meanings of social actions. This research applied the theory of conflict, industrial relations, and partnerships. Data sources in this study were primary sources in the form of interviews and secondary sources through newspapers, journals, books and webpages. The results showed that the cause of the conflict between Grab and its business partners revealed hidden interests of the company and some of its business partners. and also, conflicts caused imbalance and dominance of industrial relations in which the company has stronger power and authority than its business partners.
