Novel corona virus or 2019-nCoV or COVID-19 virus is a deadly virus that has affected the whole world very badly. In has started in nov/dec 2019 and then has spread in the whole world affecting millions of human lives around the world so far. This paper presents a study based on the data available via different sources. Along with the introduction, this paper discussed its symptoms, how it is spread, simple ways to prevent, occupational health and safety for health workers. This paper also discusses different Statistics related to covid-19 virus.

The concept of Occupational Health and Safety has become increasingly important as a result of increased industrialization and the development of new technologies all over the world. The basic philosophy of Occupational Health and Safety is to reduce the number of work accidents and to provide a healthier work environment for employees. The most risky sectors in the world are designated as mining, agriculture, forestry and construction. Markets are classified as "Dangerous Classes of Occupational Health and Safety" issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (ILO, 2004). When the risks are taken into consideration, marketing companies should perform risk analysis to ensure that hazards and problems will ocur. In this context, it is needed to provide and implement training on occupational health and safety regularly in order to protect against the identified risks. Periodic evaluations are performed at regular intervals that decrease in loss of life and property at marketing companies, both tangible as well as intangible losses will be reduced. The value, care, and customs of workers are essential in terms of occupational health and safety. The abuse of alcohol is widely regarded as a serious threat to the lives, health, and safety of employees. The aim of the research was to identify the main problems that are associated with alcohol abuse and consumption at work among employees in the construction industry, with particular emphasis on workstations where work is carried out on construction scaffoldings. Data for the analysis were obtained from two different sources. The first one was post-accident documentation on occupational accidents. The second one was surveys collected during the research project. This study confirmed that excessive and disproportionate alcohol consumption can be the cause of an accident, and consequently death at workplaces with scaffolding. Of 219 accident reports, 17.4% indicated alcohol as a contributing factor. Analysis of accident documentations shows that in cases where alcohol was indicated as a contributing factor in an accident, the alcohol was consumed during the workday. The results obtained on the basis of the conducted research were able to constitute a justification for the directions of preventive actions carried out in order to reduce the number of occupational accidents in the construction industry caused by alcohol.

Occupational, health and safety system (OHS) is a sensitive item for each organization. Health and safety is part of the business, just like production and quality. Therefore, it should be managed in the same way as other aspects of business. This study investigated the safety culture and behavior between the labors, assess the implemented safety system and evaluate the surround environmental workplace. Field data were collected from different sources, i.e. questionnaire, interview, personal observation and documentary evidence. From collected results, the occupational health and safety measures implemented in some workplaces are not sufficient and some workers are dissatisfied with the current occupational health and safety measures. Health and safety should be the concern of each worker in the organization and this can only be achieved when serious training and education is carried out. Also, monitoring, inspection and evaluate existing health and safety measures on regular basis is very important for improvement and control the risk to achieve occupational health for the port man-power.

World Health Organization (WHO) has shown Corona Virus Disease 2019 as a pandemic. The spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia has now spread across locations and across countries, accompanied by an increase in the number of problems and/or the number of deaths. To overcome the spread of Covid-19, both the government and business actors have made various efforts so that the spread of the Covid-19 virus can be prevented and overcome, especially the spread of the Covid-19 virus in office areas by implementing new normal rules in the workplace through the Occupational Safety and Health program. Based on the results of observations from one of the lead managers of PT Maruki International Indonesia, who said that there had been cases against some of his employees who were suspected of being suspected of having COVID-19, we as authors consider it necessary to raise this issue to be investigated for input for the company so that it can be used to implement the implementation. Occupational Health and Safety program against suspected cases of the Covid-19 virus among PT Maruki International Indonesia employees. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Program on the incidence of suspected Covid-19 virus among employees of PT Maruki International Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative research with a design approach cross sectional study. The sample used is 150 employees from a population of 241 employees. Collecting quantitative data using a checklist and analyzed by univariate, bivariate. Thus, it can be said that the Behavioral Improving Body Immunity variable affects the variable incidence of suspected covid-19. It is hoped that with the results of this study the government and related company management can provide a policy to deal with the spread of the corona virus in the workplace. Background: OHSAS 18001:2007 is management system of occupational health and safety international standard which includes the structure of the organization, the planning activities, responsibility, procedure, the process and resources to manage K3 .OHSAS have a purpose for protection against the workers from unwanted things arising from work environment, or activity work itself, it have an impact on safety and health workers, and so as not to cause much loss for from accidents work have image bad a company that can lower image company. Purpose: This study aimed to understand the effectiveness of the occupational health and safety assessment series (OHSAS) 18001:2007 in PT. Surya Besindo Sakti. Methods: The research used descriptive qualitative research type and design. Test the validity of data using technique triagulation method. Result: PT. Surya Besindo Sakti still meets the minimum requirements of the application of Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001: 2007. With findings of minor incompatibilities 6 and 1 OFI (Opportunity For Improvement) findings. Conclusion: The company is expected to continue to commit to run the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001: 2007 for corporate vision and mission to be achieved, objective must be monitored its achievement every month by each department and ensure all procedures used in the company reviewed and implemented consistently.

The aim of this study is to identify distribution of occupational diseases and related health complaints among health workers and also to detect employee apprehensions about availability of occupational health and safety issues in the workplace. The application area of this study is a private hospital subservient in Istanbul and accredited by JCI. Within the framework of this study, a survey which contains 8 queries about demographic and personal features, 12 queries about occupational diseases and related complaints and 24 queries about occupational health and safety issues is applied to health staff employed in variable departments and positions in this hospital. The reliability coefficient of this survey is found .816 (Cronbach’s Alpha). In the conclusion of this study; it is detected that the employee’s perception about the occupational health and safety issues in the workplace has a positive aspect. Moreover, arm and leg pains (%65.6), over-fatigue (%64.1), insomnia (%59.7) and presence of venous varicosises (%54.2) were the most determined diseases and complaints, which are considered as work-originated among healthcare workers. In accordance with findings, the privileged improvements about the problems in occupational health and safety issues in this hospital have been presented.

Ways to address the increasing global health workforce shortage include improving the occupational health and safety of health workers, particularly those in high-risk, low-resource settings. The World Health Organization and International Labour Organization designed HealthWISE, a quality improvement tool to help health workers identify workplace hazards to find and apply low-cost solutions. However, its implementation had never been systematically evaluated. We, therefore, studied the implementation of HealthWISE in seven hospitals in three countries: Mozambique, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Through a multiple-case study and thematic analysis of data collected primarily from focus group discussions and questionnaires, we examined the enabling factors and barriers to the implementation of HealthWISE by applying the integrated Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services (i-PARiHS) framework. Enabling factors included the willingness of workers to engage in the implementation, diverse teams that championed the process, and supportive senior leadership. Barriers included lack of clarity about how to use HealthWISE, insufficient funds, stretched human resources, older buildings, and lack of incident reporting infrastructure. Overall, successful implementation of HealthWISE required dedicated local team members who helped facilitate the process by adapting HealthWISE to the workers’ occupational health and safety (OHS) knowledge and skill levels and the cultures and needs of their hospitals, cutting across all constructs of the i-PARiHS framework.
