In this paper, we reviewed the present status of synthesis of nano structured materials for technological development as bimetallic, trimetallic and various organic, inorganic polymers nanocomposites in the field of nanosciences. Nanocomposites play an important role in the field of sciences, engineering and industries due to their high catalytic power, high optical, electrical and mechanical properties, which can be very useful in the field of biosensors, nano medicines and many more as social welfare factor. There are many techniques used for the preparation of nanocomposites. Among them, green method is commonly used technique for the synthesis of nanomaterials which is cost-effective, eco-friendly and less hazardous materials for the environment. Here we attempt to present an elaborate work done in the field of nanocomposites dwelling upon their advantages, challenges and future prospects.

Today is the era of nanoscience and nanotechnology, which find applications in the field of medicine, electronics, and environmental remediation. Even though nanotechnology is in its emerging phase, it continues to provide solutions to numerous challenges. Nanotechnology and nanoparticles are found to be very effective because of their unique chemical and physical properties and high surface area, but their high cost is one of the major hurdles to its wider application. So, the synthesis of nanomaterials, especially 2D nanomaterials from industrial, agricultural, and other biological activities, could provide a cost-effective technique. The nanomaterials synthesized from such waste not only minimize pollution, but also provide an eco-friendly approach towards the utilization of the waste. In the present review work, emphasis has been given to the types of nanomaterials, different methods for the synthesis of 2D nanomaterials from the waste generated from industries, agriculture, and their application in electronics, medicine, and catalysis.

: Chalcones are an interesting class of compounds endowed with a plethora of biological activities beneficial to human health. These chemo types have continued to attract increased research attention over the years; hence, numerous natural and synthetic chalcones have found with interesting anticancer activities through the inhibition of various molecular targets including ABCG2, BCRP, P-glycoprotein, 5α-reductase, Androgen receptor (AR), Histone deacetylases (HDAC), Sirtuin 1, proteasome, Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), Cathepsin-K, tubulin, CDC25B phosphatase, Topoisomerase, EBV, NF-κB, mTOR, BRAF and Wnt/β-catenin. Moreover, the study of intrinsic mechanisms of action, particularly relating to specific cellular pathways and modes of engagement with molecular targets, may help medicinal chemists to develop a more effective, selective, and cost-effective chalcone-based anticancer drugs. This review, therefore, sheds light on the effect of structural variations on the anticancer potency of chalcone hybrids reported in 2018-2019 alongside their mechanism of action, molecular targets, and potential impacts on effective cancer chemotherapy.

Ramalin, a new L-glutamic acid derivative of phenylhydrazide (Y-glutamyl-N'-(2-hydroxyphenyl) hydrazide, 1) was isolated from the Antarctic lichen, Ramalina terebrata after a series of bioactivity guided fractionation of crude aqueous methanolic extract. Ramalin showed stronger antioxidant activities than commercially available standards, ascorbic acid, trolox, BHA, kojic acid in both, in vitro and in vivo test systems. In addition, ramalin showed no/less toxicity effects against two human cell lines; fibroblast (CCD-986SK) cells and keratinocyte (HaCaT). Thus, realign merits for cosmetic application and industrial scale production were needed. We developed a cost effective total synthesis of ramalin with 71.5% yield and described here.

<p>Rupestrian Cultural Heritage (CH) sites were among the first man-made works in the history of humanity, therefore playing a key role in building the memory and roots of human society. These sites were often carved in slopes formed by soft rocks, which due to their peculiar lithological, geotechnical and morpho-structural features are often prone to weathering, deterioration and slope instability issues. The use of advanced remote sensing (RS) techniques combined with traditional methods (e.g. field surveys, laboratory analysis), can provide fundamental data to implement a specific site-specific and inter-disciplinary approach for the sustainable protection and conservation of rupestrian CH sites. In this context Infrared Thermography (IRT), thanks to the technological development of portable high-resolution and cost-effective thermal imaging cameras, can be profitably used for the detection of CH conservation issues (namely fractures, water seepage, moisture and surface weathering). In this paper several applications of IRT in integrated methodologies for rupestrian sites conservation in mountainous regions of Georgia will be presented. The aim of this work is to evaluate the potential of IRT in the field of CH protection and conservation strategies, in order to provide a useful versatile and low-cost tool, to be profitably used in management plans of rupestrian CH characterized by similar contexts. Advantages and constraints of the adopted method will be discussed, as well as general operative recommendations and future perspectives.</p>

The search for lead product with beneficial pharmacological properties has become a great challenge and costly. Extraction and synthetic modification of bioactive compounds from natural resources has gained great attention and is cost effective. In this study, kojic acid was produced from fungal fermentation, using sago waste as substrate, and chemically incorporated with chalcones and azobenzene to form a series of kojic ester derivatives and evaluated for antibacterial activities. Kojic ester bearing halogenated chalcone demonstrated active inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus compared to that of standard ampicillin. The inhibition increased as the electronegativity of halogens decreased, while incorporation of azobenzene derivatives on kojic acid backbone demonstrated fair antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 190–330 ppm. The presence of C=C and N=N reactive moieties in both chalcone and azo molecules contributed to the potential biological activities of the kojic acid ester.

Nanobiotechnology emerged as integration of nanotechnology and biotechnology for developing bioactive, biosynthetic and eco -friendly technology for synthesis of nanomaterials. Nanostructures have great demand in areas such as chemistry, catalysis, electronics, energy, and medical applications. Metallic nano-particles are normally synthesized by wet chemical synthesis techniques using the toxic and inflammable chemicals. Present research work on preparation of silver nano-particles by green nano synthesis method and has advantages over conventional methods involving chemical agents which can cause environmental toxicity. The synthesis technique is a cost effective and environment friendly technique for green nano synthesis of silver nano-particles from varying concentrations of AgNO3 solution and extract of Carica papaya fruit of different concentrations which acts as reducing and capping agent. Characterizations has been done using UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy, XRD, particle size analyser and SEM with EDX. Antimicrobial activity was done using Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas.

Technological development makes it possible to simplify and accelerate decision-making processes by adequately processing and evaluating large volumes of data. Sub-data obtained from large data sets have a very important practical role in asset valuation, forecasting and valuing delineated or difficult-to-map areas, or in the context of portfolio management. Land valuation is a separate segment within asset valuation and it requires a specific methodological approach on behalf of evaluators. In this study, the authors compared the transaction data of arable land and the value of other land use categories. Based on empirical assessments, the authors developed proposals for the fast and cost-effective determination of the value of land use categories other than arable land - mainly meadows and pastures.

There is a great interest in the development of green protocols to avoid environmental and health hazards. In this research, the eco-friendly and cost-effective synthesis of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) has been achieved by the green method using ethanolic turmeric crude extract at pH 7. The bioac-tive compounds of turmeric crude extract are responsible for the reduction, capping and sta-bility of the GNPs. The characterization of GNPs was carried out by ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy, Fourier transforms infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy. The UV-vis spectral study indicated the formation of GNPs with a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) band at 547 nm. FTIR analysis of turmeric crude extract and GNPs showed that phenolic groups reduced the gold ions. The FESEM analysis showed the polydisperse morphology of GNPs with average size of 26.6 nm±7.4 nm. The elemental composition determined by EDX re-vealed the presence of gold. The synthesized GNPs can be useful in a variety of applications involving medicine, cosmetics, environment and nutraceutical.
