<p>Encouraged by the problem of constantly air pollution, especially in the winter mounts, a group of students from the Josip Broz – Tito High School from Bitola, North Macedonia, under the mentorship of the geography teacher and in cooperation with the NGO Geosfera, conducted a school project. The main objectives of the project were: raising awareness among pupils about the harmful effects of PM particles on human health, identifying the city's air polluters, measuring PM particles concentrations in different locations around the city and informing the public and preparing draft mitigation measures of air pollution.</p><p>First, the students held an educative lecture in front of the rest of the pupils at the school about the harmful effects of PM particles on human health. Then, we started a campaign to involve students and all citizens of Bitola in identifying the city's air polluters. Through the social networks, instructions were given, such as through an online Аpp and the GPS signal from the smart phone, to take a picture from a suspicious air polluter and to post the image with the given geographic coordinates on our Facebook group. A working group of students, according to the given coordinates of the citizens, put the polluters on an interactive map of Google Maps. A link from the map was sent to the authorized environmental inspector in the municipality, with the goal of faster response and inspection to those polluters.</p><p>The absence of multiple measuring stations created numerous speculations among the citizens, but also with the institutions in the city, where the enormous air pollution originated, whether from the Thermal Power Plant Bitola or from the city itself.</p><p>Therefore, in cooperation with the NGO Geosfera, we decided to measure the current concentrations of PM10 particles in two periods of the day, between 14 and 15, and between 19 and 20 hours. The measurements were made with a mobile particle detector at 14 locations. After the measurements were made, using the Google Earth, two maps were created, showing the results of the measurements. The obtained results confirm the suspicions that the cause of enormous air pollution in Bitola is not TPP Bitola, but households that mostly warm their homes with firewood (over 60%, Source: State Statistical Office). Also, a large number of citizens of our Facebook group have commented that part of the problem are Forest enterprises, which usually supply wet firewood. According to the US EPA, wet wood produces three times more PM particles compare with dry wood.</p><p>The students from the school, in cooperation with the NGO Geosfera and the geography teacher, developed and submitted to the Municipality measures for reduction of air pollution. All these proposed measures were placed on an interactive map on Google Maps, through which all the citizens of Bitola will be able to visualize them.</p><p>The action received positive reviews from the public in the city and achieved the desired effect, which is raising awareness among young people and alerting the competent institutions to solving the accumulated problems.</p>

The article provides a detailed description he materials, instruments and technological tools that he uses in the research of avifauna in Vilnyansk. On the basis of the analysis of scientific sources during the autumn, winter and spring accounting of avifauna of accounting sites of the city the methods of average maximum hearing of birds, route methods of accounting, cartographic and combined accounting were applied. In the processing of statistical and graphical data, the software package Microsoft Office, a collection of audio files, GIS products technologies Google Earth, Google Maps, Photoshop and applied software STATISTICA. When building maps for Vilnyansk town, taking into account its physical and geographical features, were used products Google Maps and Google Earth, which allowed to create a map of the city divided by squares 500x500meters to account the areas of observation, as well as to make calculations of the size of the areas of these biotopes, in which there was a record of birds. Using STATISTICA package allowed to establish the dependence of individuals, species diversity of avifauna on environmental factors and factors (temperature characteristics, dates of observations), to establish correlation indicators, as well as the dynamics of the number of birds. Thanks to the effects of the Google Earth program, a detailed analysis of the city facilities (social infrastructure, both part of the residential and natural landscapes) was carried out. As a result of these studies, a general mapping of the bird observation area was created, the sizes of habitats were calculated for the subsequent drawing of individuals of one species or another in their areas, taking into account the elements of the urban landscapes (private development areas, northern part of the city, central and southern areas), dynamics analysis the number of birds during the autumn-winter period 2017/2018 and established correlation coefficients that allowed establishing a relationship between ambient temperature, weather conditions and population disappeared.

Abstrak: Berkembangnya media teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang sangat pesat dan sangat maju dan diminati masyarakat yang mengacu pada sumber informasi sudah tidak asing lagi yaitu penggunaan internet Penggunaan jasa layanan internet di Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan dan perkembangan. Manfaat internet sebagai salah satu solusi untuk mengefisienkan berbagai kepentingan telah dirasakan oleh banyak kalangan. Salah satunya melahirkan media baru yang di sebut Google Form. Pengabdian yang akan dilaksanakan di salah satu cafe yang ada di kota medan yaitu cafe Rumah Kopi 55 berupa pendampingan dan arahan kepada pengelola cafe dalam membuat aplikasi Google Form yang dapat digunakan oleh pelanggan secara cepat dengan hanya mengakases link yang diberikan, yang mana aplikasi ini digunakan untuk mendapatkan Feedback pelanggan terhadap sistem pelayanan cafe yang ada sekarang agar dapat membuat cafe lebih maju lagi dan berkembang. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini digunakan pelatihan dengan interaksi dua arah antara tim pengabdian dan pihak pengelola cafe.  Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengabdian adalah tercipta suatu aplikasi feedback untuk pelanggan terhadap pelayanan di cafe Rumah Kopi 55.   Namun hingga saat ini pihak pengelola cafe belum menerapkan aplikasi yang telah diberikan d. Salah satu dampaknya yaitu kemudahan bagi pelanggan dalam memberikan feedback serta memberikan kemudahan bagi cafe Rumah Kopi 55 dalam meningkatkan pelayanan dan manajemen berdasarkan feedback yang diberikan.Abstract: The development of information and communication technology media that is very rapid and very advanced and in demand by the public who refers to information sources is already familiar, namely the use of the internet. The use of internet services in Indonesia continues to increase and develop. The benefits of the internet as a solution to streamline various interests have been felt by many people. One of them gave birth to a new media called Google Form. The service that will be carried out at one of the cafes in the city of Medan, namely the Rumah Kopi 55 cafe in the form of assistance and direction to cafe managers in making a Google Form application that can be used by customers quickly by only accessing the given link, where this application is used to get customer feedback on the existing cafe service system in order to make the cafe more advanced and growing. The method used in this activity is training with two-way interaction between the service team and the cafe manager. The results obtained in the service are the creation of a feedback application for customers on services at the Kopi Rumah cafe 55. However, until now the cafe manager has not implemented the application that has been given d. One of the impacts is the convenience for customers in providing feedback and providing convenience for Rumah Kopi 55 cafe in improving service and management based on the feedback provided.

This research article is summarizing the applications of Electronics and GIS applications to health risks management due to air pollution, noise and microclimate change detection, to study the geography of urban health risks and environmental change in Casablanca, Morocco. acquisition of environmental and Climatological Data using sensor networks, results a new possibilities and advantages, of environmental data monitoring using electronic circuit with a broadcasting system via a technology with wireless transmitter. The main object of this research is to present a simple and rapid method to provide instant microclimate and environment data, which can be used to manage the public risks caused by pollution and environment changes. As the climate and environment conditions are variable from a place to place, it is difficult to get accurate climate and environment for a particular location in a city. With the advancement of technology, especially data acquisition systems, the problem of large set up area and cost has been reduced. The data acquisition station can be set up at any place and provide an accurate and instant climate and environment report to any citizen of the city. The report of the data acquisition system can be used by the users to choose the best place for them to live due to their diseases. In addition, these data can be collected in a GIS system to create a microclimate change and air pollution map of different zones in the city, predict the future climate, and air pollution of the city.</p>

Atmospheric pollution arising from diesel-powered engines can result in acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. The annual carnival festival that takes place in the city of Salvador, Bahia-Brazil, is a large-scale event that gathers approximately 2 m revelers and 170,000 workers who accompany dozens of sound-trucks, or trios el&eacute;tricos, for a period of seven days. These slow-moving sound-trucks run on diesel fuel, constantly exposing those around them to exhaust fumes. The present study aimed to evaluate air quality along the approximately 10km-long carnival parade circuit and determine possible impacts on human health. We applied a three-phase risk analysis strategy from 2007&ndash;2009: 1) hazard identification, 2) risk characterization and 3) risk management. Our quantification of atmospheric particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentrations revealed variable levels of PM2.5 ranging from 19 &micro;g/m3 to 580 &micro;g/m3, with peaks of up to 800 &mu;g/m3 at sound-truck concentration areas. We then assessed the effects of air pollution on human health using ophthalmologic parameters obtained from 28 carnival volunteers, who often presented symptoms of eye irritation. Finally, we established strategies to communicate the study&rsquo;s objectives and obtained results to the population through media outlets and open discussions with government agencies. According to our risk analysis, carnival sound-trucks represent the main source of atmospheric PM2.5 and NO2 pollution during the annual 7-day carnival festival. As a consequence of our research, the municipal government of Salvador issued an addendum to its carnival legislation mandating organizers to monitor atmospheric pollution, and, subsequently, all large-scale public events. Municipal government authorities have also promoted a shift from petroleum-based diesel fuel to biodiesel, a less-polluting fuel, for all adapted carnival sound-trucks. Our approach, which employed easily accessible and inexpensive methodology, provided substantial scientific evidence to support improvements in the regulation of air quality during large-scale public events held in the city of Salvador.Keywords: environmental

<p class="Abstrak">Banjir merupakan masalah yang terjadi hampir diseluruh kota di Indonesia, tak terkecuali di kota Palembang. Masalah banjir di kota Palembang sudah menjadi masalah yang serius bagi pemerintah kota Palembang. Banjir di kota Palembang terjadi akibat banjir pasang musiman maupun banjir genangan akibat hujan yang sering terjadi di jalanan. Banjir yang terjadi di jalanan, dapat menyebabkan kerusakan terutama kendaraan baik roda dua maupun roda empat. Selain itu banjir juga dapat menyebabkan kemacetan lalu lintas karena kendaraan harus memperlambat kendaraannya agar tidak merusak kendaraan serta tidak menggangu pengendara lain yang melintas. Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah tidak adanya aplikasi untuk mengetahui daerah atau jalan mana saja yang berpotensi terjadinya banjir khususnya di kota Palembang. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkanlah suatu aplikasi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi komunikasi <em>mobile</em> yang dapat memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat, terutama pengguna kendaraan yang sedang berada di jalan agar dapat terhidar dari bencana banjir. Dengan memanfaatkan layanan titik lokasi menggunakan <em>Google Maps</em> dan API, penulis akan membangun sebuah aplikasi berbasis android, yang bertujuan agar dapat memberikan informasi pengguna kendaraan tentang lokasi titik rawan banjir saat terjadi hujan maupun banjir musiman di jalan-jalan kota Palembang, sehingga dapat membantu pengendara menghidari kerusakan kendaraan akibat banjir serta dapat membantu mengurangi kemacetan pada saat terjadinya banjir agar dapat menghemat waktu perjalanan.</p><p class="Abstrak"> </p><p><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p><em>Flooding is a problem that happens almost throughout the city in Indonesia, no exception in Palembang city. The problem of flooding in the Palembang city has become a serious problem for the Government. Flooding in Palembang occur due to tidal flooding or flood inundation due to seasonal rains that often occur in the streets. The flooding that occurred on the streets, can cause damage especially two-wheel vehicles or four wheel. In addition to flooding can also cause traffic congestion because the vehicles had to slow down their vehicles so as not to damage the vehicle and does not interfere with other riders crossing. The main problem in this research is the lack of application to know which road areas or potential occurrence of flooding especially in Palembang. Therefore it needs an application by making use of mobile communication technology that can provide information to the public, especially users vehicles that are on the way so it can be terhidar from the flood. By utilizing the service point location using Google Maps and API, the author will build an android-based applications, the aim is to be able to provide information about the location of the point of vehicle users prone to flooding in the event of rain or flood seasonal in the streets of the city of Palembang, so you can help motorists avoid vehicle damage due to flooding and can help reduce congestion at the time of the occurrence of flooding in order to save on travel time.</em></p><p class="Judul2"> </p>

Environmental pollution is one of the most serious global problems of mankind. Its impact on the public health becomes more acute every year. Ecotoxicants - harmful chemicals that pollute the environment - pose a great danger to humans and animals. Their sources are not only production and energy enterprises, but also motor transport. With the increase in the car fleet, the level of harmful impact on the environment is intensively increasing. For example, if at the beginning of the 1970s, hygienists determined the proportion of pollutants introduced into the atmosphere by road transport on average at 13%, now this level has reached 50% and continues to grow.This paper is devoted to the study of the extent of atmospheric pollution by road transport. Literature sources on this problem have been analyzed and summarized, specific types of pollutants released by the exploited vehicles and the results of their harmful effects on the environment and living organisms have been described. The authors of the paper obtained quantitative data on the average daily and average annual volumes of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere during the operation of vehicles in the city of Kazan.

Os artigos científicos cada vez mais argumentam sobre as interações entre a sociedade e natureza, principalmente, sobre os efeitos nocivos que algumas atividades antrópicas vêm causando ao meio ambiente e ao próprio homem. Os ambientes naturais encontravam-se em estado de equilíbrio até o momento em que o homem passou a explorar cada vez mais os recursos naturais, com objetivo de atender seus interesses e necessidades. Neste contexto que o objetivo deste trabalho se enquadra em analisar os impactos ambientais das indústrias cerâmicas e propor medidas mitigadoras para tais atividades em Cordeirópolis/SP, município integrante do polo cerâmico de Santa Gertrudes/SP. Para alcançar estes resultados os procedimentos metodológicos foram divididos em etapas: 1 – Trabalhos de gabinete; 2 – Levantamento de dados; 3 – Georreferenciamento; 4 – Aplicação do Sistema de Informação Geográfica, neste caso o ArcGis 10.3; 5 – Trabalhos de campo. Assim, o trabalho faz um diagnóstico dos danos ambientais e sociais que a atividade cerâmica causa em Cordeirópolis/SP, dentre os impactos destaca-se: retirada da cobertura vegetal; poluição da água e do ar; e poluição sonora; além disso, propõe-se medidas que possam minimizar os efeitos destes impactos como: instalação de bacias de decantação de finos; implantar uma cortina vegetal; umectação das vias de circulação; e reciclagem dos produtos utilizados.Palavras-chave: Recursos naturais; indústrias cerâmicas; impactos ambientais; polo cerâmico.AbstractScientific articles increasingly argue about the interactions between society and nature, especially about the harmful effects that some anthropic activities have been causing to the environment and to man himself. Natural environments were in a state of equilibrium until the time when man began to explore more and more natural resources in order to meet his interests and needs. In this context, the objective of this work is to analyze the environmental impacts of the ceramic industries and to propose mitigating measures for such activities in Cordeirópolis/SP, a municipality in the Santa Gertrudes/SP ceramic pole. To achieve these results the methodological procedures were divided into stages: 1 - Cabinet work; 2 - Data collection; 3 - Georeferencing; 4 - Application of the Geographic Information System, in this case ArcGis 10.3; 5 - Fieldwork. Thus, the work makes a diagnosis of the environmental and social damages that the ceramic activity causes in Cordeirópolis/SP, among the impacts it stands out: removal of the vegetal cover; water and air pollution; and noise pollution; in addition, it is proposed measures that can minimize the effects of these impacts such as: installation of fine settling basins; implant a plant curtain; wetting of roadways; recycling of the products used.Keywords: Natural resources; ceramic industries; environmental impacts; ceramic pole.
