The efficiency of using three-phase asynchronous electric motors with a squirrel-cage rotor in the transport sector depends on increasing the level of their reliability, which is possible due to the constant improvement of existing and the development of new diagnostic methods of high reliability. The most labor-consuming and difficult is the possibility of diagnostics and differentiation of turn-to-turn closures of the stator winding. The aim of the work is to establish the nature of the manifestation, influence on energy indicators and determine the diagnostic parameters of turn-to-turn closures on one and simultaneously on two phases of the stator winding of an induction motor using mathematical modeling methods. This goal was achieved through a set of studies using a refined mathematical model of an asynchronous motor, which allows you to create asymmetry of the stator windings, simulate turn-to-turn connections on one phase and simultaneously on two phases in various combinations. The most significant result of the work is the establishment of the dependences of the pulsations of the electromagnetic moment, the unbalance coefficient of the stator phase currents and the energy characteristics from the turn-to-turn short-circuits of the phases of the stator windings. The significance of the results obtained consists in establishing the dependences of the manifestation of various types of damage to the phases of the stator winding necessary for choosing a method for diagnosing turn-to-turn faults in the stator windings when building an effective diagnostic system for asynchronous motors as part of transport infrastructure drives.

Up to 38% of asynchronous motor (AM) failures are caused by damage to the stator insulation. Despite the wide variety of methods, the reliability of determining the inter-turn short circuits of stator windings under operating voltage still remains at a low level. The existing methods for diagnostics of asynchronous motor failure of the interturn short circuit of stator winding have been examined. New diagnostic methods for individual parameters developed in the course of the previous study are described. A new diagnostic method is formulated, on the basis of which the research work is carried out. The method will allow us to constantly monitor the technical condition of the stator winding, and identify its damage at an early stage of their development. Diagnostics can be performed without dismantling the engine and without removing it from the working process. The microprocessor unit is implemented for diagnostics of the technical condition of AM introducing this method. Moreover, the software and hardware complex is implemented for diagnostics of the technical condition for AM. The results of experiments on a laboratory stand with inter-turn AM closures are presented, which confirm the higher reliability of monitoring.

A scientific approach to calculating the parameters and characteristics of an asynchronous motor in the inter-turn short circuit mode in one phase of the stator is proposed to create the foundations of a diagnostic complex for assessing the condition of asynchronous motors of the transport infrastructure. This approach consists of the fact that in the model with which the research is carried out, it is proposed to take into account changes in the mutual inductance of the motor when the AC impedance of one of the stator phases changes. Using a new approach to modeling processes occurring in an asynchronous motor during the inter-turn short circuit in one phase of the stator, pulsations of the torque on the motor shaft were studied for different values of the AC impedance and resistance of one of the stator winding phases, which corresponds to varying degrees of the inter-turn short circuits.

The study addresses the problem of detecting a short circuit fault in the three-phase induction motor winding by monitoring the stator current Park vector (Lissajous curves). Park's vector model is implemented using the Matlab software package. The experimental part of the study was carried out on an 11 kW three-phase induction motor. The Lissajous curves obtained for a healthy motor and a motor with short-circuited turns under various load conditions were compared with each other. The obtained results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed method for detecting interturn short circuit faults in the three-phase stator windings of induction motors.

To ensure air exchange in henhouses, ventilation systems equipped with axial fans with three-phase asynchronous motors with speed control for continuous smooth removal of contaminated air are used. The paper presents the results of studies of the effect of power of a three-phase asynchronous motor of an axial fan on specifications of the motor when controlling its speed by changing the value of the supply sinusoidal voltage. It is determined that in the rotation range of 950–1000 rpm in this motor, the phase current of the stator winding exceeds the rated phase current by 1.5 times, which leads to overheating and getting the motor out of order in case of prolonged operation. For reliable and stable operation of the adjustable motor, the fan load power was 2 times reduced, while the maximum phase current became less than the nominal phase current of the motor, which increased the stability and reliability of the motor. However, the linear range of the control parameters was significantly narrowed, a number of engine parameters deteriorated. As a result, it was proposed to upgrade the three-phase asynchronous motor by increasing the number of coils of the stator winding, which led to decrease in power of the motor studied. As the study showed, the upgraded three-phase asynchronous motor with a fan load has improved specifications, including expansion of the linear section of the control parameter, the average values of power factor and efficiency, decrease in the average phase current of the stator winding of the motor, the lower steepness of change in the motor rpm from voltage changes. High reliability and stability of the motor were achieved and its thermal operating mode was improved. The research results allow to recommend the upgraded three-phase asynchronous motor for axial fans drives of henhouse ventilation systems for continuous smooth removal of contaminated air.

Abstract Presently, as a result of the technical progress, more and more complicated machines are being used in our everyday life. This is even more the case in relation to technology used at sea, where highly specialised services are needed. Sophisticated marine devices require special diagnostic methods that take into account the specific conditions of use of this type of machinery. In this paper we present the diagnostic systems elaborated to support the exploitation of the vessel power. Marine engine is a complex technical object. For the purpose of diagnostics it is convenient to divide the engine into several units - subsystems such as: piston -crank assembly; working medium exchange system, fuel supply system, lubricating system, cooling system, starting up - reversing system; combustion chamber, etc. The organization of the marine engine and auxiliary machinery diagnostic process can usually come down to two stages, general diagnostics and damage location. Most popular in marine engine diagnostics have been the periodic run analyzers, called pressure analyzers, electronic indicators. The diagnostic system of marine engine is able to assess the current engine condition and give forecast concerning its future operation in a complex way with the use of computer technology. Working out operating decision was based on proper preparation of operational parameters which were processed in a computer according to defined algorithms.

The purpose of the study was to justify the essence of the “Internet immersion” phenomenon and to create a standardized method for its measurement. A comparative analysis of approaches to human behavior on the Internet environment and existing diagnostic methods has revealed a significant variety of categories and definitions used. At the same time, there is no definition that: first, characterizes the degree and quality of user's Internet activity; second, is free from negative and clinical connotations; and, third, describes a wider time range of Internet usage than the actual state of immersion. The authors substantiate the possibility of studying the phenomenon of the Internet immersion through the category of disposition. It consists of the readiness to use technical means and informational resources of the Internet to solve problems in various types of activities and communication. The authors identify traditional components in the structure of the Internet immersion phenomenon. These are, first of all, a cognitive component, represented by digital competence self-assessment; then, an affective component, represented by motivation and emotional and value-based attitude towards the Internet; and a behavioral component, represented by the amount of digital consumption. Based on this definition, it was possible to construct a compact 9-block “Index of the Internet immersion” questionnaire. Its standardization was conducted on the sample of 712 adolescents, aged from 11 to 17. Using the factor analysis, the structure of the questionnaire was identified. The first factor includes questions that relate to the time spent on the Internet and signs of dependence on it. The second factor includes questions that reveal the activity component and emotional attitude to the Internet. The third factor includes questions about experience and self-assessment of digital competence. The advantage of the “Index of the Internet immersion” questionnaire is a fairly high reliability for internal consistency of scales throughout the questionnaire. We also confirmed the sufficient convergent validity of the “Internet environment immersion Index” method with the “Scale of Problematic Internet Usage” by A.A. Gerasimova, A.B. Kholmogorova (adapted version of Generalized Problematic Internet Use Scale (GPIUS) by S. Caplan) and the Internet Addiction Test (IAT, K. Young), modified by V. A. Loskutova. This indicates its validity as an independent tool that does not duplicate other tools for semantically similar phenomena measurement. In the conditions of forced self-isolation that have developed in our country, the method of the Internet immersion diagnostics as an adequate and theoretically justified tool will allow us to study changes in the emotional state and behavior of teenagers on the Internet.

The article deals with the issues related to the possibility of diagnosing the technical condition of an asyn-chronous electric motor by an external magnetic field. The justification of the problems associated with the di-agnosis of electric motors is given. The difficulties that arise when measuring the external magnetic field of electric motors, as well as the devices with which it is possible to carry out measurements, are described. The re-lationship between the EMF of the sensor and the external magnetic field is shown. The results of processing the EMF waveforms induced by an external magnetic field in an inductive sensor for various electric motors are presented. The processing was carried out by the fast Fourier transform method. The external magnetic field contains the first harmonic and various harmonics that are multiples of the combination of the stator teeth, or the sum of the stator and rotor teeth that fall on one pair of poles. The ratio of the amplitudes of the first and tooth harmonics is affected by the measurement location and the orientation of the sensor. Diagrams showing the ratio of the main and tooth harmonics at different points of the motor body are constructed. The depend-ences of the harmonic amplitudes on the magnitude of the magnetizing current of the stator are given. Changes in the amplitudes and spectrum of harmonics in the presence and absence of an inter-turn short circuit in the stator winding are shown. Diagrams of the circular external magnetic field for the main and higher harmonics are constructed. The study shows the possibility of using an external magnetic field to detect inter-turn short circuits of the stator winding.

The article seeks to explore the state of government regulation of transport infrastructure and to reveal its specifics in ensuring this sector efficiency in the context of economic globalization. The study suggests that the framework of legislative and strategic documents in the area of transport industry and its infrastructure development regulation should be considered at the international, national and the regional levels. The paper also provides insights to the key challenges hindering the innovative development of the transport infrastructure in Ukraine. The research findings have revealed the major gaps in the system of government regulation of the Ukrainian transport infrastructure which refer to: the absence of a single public regulatory authority in the transport sector which is empowered to perform regulatory, monitoring and the control functions; fundamental imbalances in transport infrastructure development (as to different transport categories); the lack of tax incentives for investors in infrastructure facilities; the lack of a balancing mechanism to regulate the number of operators in various transport market sectors through licensing procedures; the absence of an effective mechanism for designing appropriate pricing (tariff) policies in the transport sector focusing on the need to prevent monopolization while promoting competition in adjacent markets etc. It is argued that a strategy to eliminate the above shortcomings in government regulation practices in the area of transport infrastructure should be built through searching a balance between deregulation (decentralization) and excessive centralization in the specified sector. With the purpose of consolidating and structuring the information to ensure the efficiency of transport infrastructure development based on government intervention, the study has identified the following components of a basic government regulation toolkit which involves a wide range of organizational, regulatory, social, economic, innovative, market-based, informational and analytical instruments.

Research background: The economic impact of investing in new transport capacity or improving existing ones is complex and often indirect. Loans for infrastructure are often needed, but they cannot create sufficient conditions for economic growth. Investments in transport infrastructure require public funding. An assessment of their cost-effectiveness is needed to ensure a reasonable and acceptable allocation. Relevant economic, environmental and social effects must be taken into account. There is a growing concern in the transport sector about decisions on the development of the transport system and the effects of scale and externalities they produce. Planners and decision-makers need to know more about the wider economic impact of individual infrastructure projects and transport policies in general. Purpose of the article: This paper aims to present the most important theoretical and practical aspects of the importance of transport investment worldwide, at European level and Romania. Investments in transport infrastructure will not improve the economic vitality of a region unless it has sufficient economic capacity and employment, land use and economic development policies. Methods: This article starts from the hypothesis of the influence of globalization on the development of transport systems in general and applies as a case study on Romania. The paper was based on the analysis of transport legislation, as well as data sets for the period 2011-2019, to observe the gradual development of all types of transport. Findings & Value added: Following these researches, the link between globalization and investments in transport systems was found by emphasizing accessibility to new infrastructures, new horizons and development plans for the main types of transport, which is a key element in economic activity. The main results were disseminated throughout the article and it adds value through the analysis created at global and regional level (at European level) and the interpretation of statistical data related to transport investments.
