The objectives of this study are twofold; firstly, it is intended to determine the soil nutrient contents (e.g., nitrogen, phosphor, potassium, manganese, and magnesium) after the provision of Chromolaena odorata organic fertilizer. Secondly, the study is aimed at examining the growth of maize crops after the provision of the same fertilizer. It employed randomized design group consisting of three phases of treatment (i.e., control, fertilizer provision, and provision of Bokashi with Chromolaena odorata) and four-times of the repeating process. Furthermore, the variable consists of the contents of soil nutrient  before applying the treatment, vegetative growth (i.e., stem height, stem diameter, leaf size, and dry weight of root, stem, and leaf), and generative growth (i.e., weight of unhusked cob, weight of husked cob, number of seeds per cob, width of cob, and weight of 100 seeds).  The data were analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and it further examined by employing Least Significance Difference test at 5% level. The results reveal that the provision of Bokashi fertilizer (with Chromolaena odorata as the material) positively impacts the growth of maize crops rather than the provision of green manure and control fertilizer. Keywords: Generative Growth, Organic Fertilizer, Vegetative Growth

The aim of research to determine the effect of sludge that mixed with plant waste and livestock waste on soil nutrient content and Brassica L. performances The research method used was the experiment of adding local microorganism solution (LMS) of banana weevil, coconut fiber ash and eggshell flour into sludge of quail and octopus waste as organic fertilizer with a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 6 treatments and 4 replications The treatments used consisted of P0: sludge 100%; P1 :sludge 50% + LMS 20% + Ash 10% + Eggshell Flour 20%; P2: sludge 50% + LMS 20% + Ash 12.5% ​​+ Eggshell Flour 17.5%; P3: sludge 50% + LMS 20% + Ash 15% + Eggshell Flour 15%; P4: sludge 50% + LMS 20% + Ash 17.5% + Eggshell Flour 12.5% and P5: sludge 50% + LM S 20% + Ash 20% + Eggshell Flour 10%. The result showed that the treatment given had a very significant effect (P <0.01) on the total N content, elements P and K, but the highest average was obtained from P0 (100% sludge), so it can be concluded that   had no effect on nutrient content. The average of total N values ​​ranged from 1.15 ± 0.10 to 2.39 ± 0.40 percent, element P ranges from 2.65 ± 0.19 to 5.28 ± 0.19 percent and element K ranges from 1.08 ± 0.05 to 4.28 ± 0.21 percent. And for Brassica L.   this treatment give a real effect (P <0.01) to the height and weight of a mustard plant wet and did not give an effect (P <0.05) to the number of leaves of mustard plants. The conclusion of this study are the mixed sludge waste had a significant effect on soil nutrient content and on Brassica L. performance.

Research on the response of roots of palm sugar palm seeds (Arenga pinnata) in nurseries at doses and intervals of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer. Aims to determine the dosage, interval and combination of dosages and fertilization intervals with Nasa liquid organic fertilizer which can provide the best dry weight of the roots in the nursery. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3x3 factorial experiments and each treatment was repeated 8 (eight) times, consisting of: the first factor was the treatment of POC Nasa dose in a concentration of 3 cc POC Nasa per liter of water (D) consists of 3 levels, namely: d1 = 300 ml POC Nasa, d2 = 400 ml POC Nasa, d3 = 500 ml POC Nasa, while the second factor is the treatment of POC Nasa Interval (I) consisting of 3 levels, namely: i1 = 2 once a week, i2 = once every 3 weeks, i3 = once every 4 weeks. The results of the POC Nasa dose study had a significant effect on leaf wet weight, leaf dry weight, root wet weight and root dry weight. The best dose at this level are: d2 (400 ml of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer), the interval of liquid organic fertilizer Nasa has a significant effect on leaf wet weight, leaf dry weight, root wet weight and root dry weight. The best dose at this level is: i1 (once every 2 weeks). The treatment combination has no significant effect on all parameters.

ABSTRAKKemiri sunan (Reutealis trisperma (Blanco) Airy Shaw) dikenal sebagai tumbuhan yang berperan sebagai pestisida nabati yang belum banyak diketahui keampuhannya, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengujian untuk memperoleh informasi tentang keampuhan dari tumbuhan ini. Pengujian efektivitasnya dilakukan terhadap larva Crocidolomia binotalis Zell. penyebab kerusakan pada tanaman sawi. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Vertebrata, Departemen Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, berlangsung dari Maret sampai Mei 2019. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan meliputi minyak kemiri sunan dengan konsentrasi 10%, 5%, 2.5%, 1.25% dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan minyak kemiri sunan berpengaruh terhadap larva Crocidolomia binotalis. Konsentrasi 10% dapat mengakibatkan mortalitas paling tinggi sebesar 100% pada 7 HSA. Selain toksik, minyak kemiri sunan juga dapat memperpanjang lama perkembangan larva, menghambat aktivitas makan (antifeedant), serta menurunkan berat kering larva dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Minyak kemiri sunan berpotensi sebagai alternatif pengendali hama yang ramah lingkungan karena dapat berperan sebagai pestisida nabatiKata kunci: Kemiri sunan, Crocidolomia binotalis, Pestisida nabatiABSTRACTReutealis trisperma (Blanco) Airy Shaw is know as a plant that acts as a vegetable pesticide that is not yet widely known for its efficacy, so testing is needed to obtain information about the efficacy of this plant. Effectiveness testing is carried out on Crocidolomia binotalis Zell. larvae causing damage to oil palm plants. The experiment was carried out in the vertebrate laboratory, the deparment of pest and plant diseases, the faculty of agriculture, the university Padjadjaran, taking place from March-May 2019. The experiment used the randomized design complete with 5 treatments and 5 replication. The treatments included oil Reutealis trisperma (Blanco) Airy Shaw with a concentration 10%, 5%, 2.5%, 1.25% and control. The result hazelnut oil affected the larva Crocidolomia binotalis Zell. 10% concentration can cause the highest mortality of 100% at 7 HAS. In addition to toxic, hazelnut oil prolong the development of larvae, inhibit feeding activity, and reduce the dry weight of larvae compared to controls. Hazelnut oil has potential as an alternative as an a alternative pest control that is environmentally friendly because it can act as a botanical pesticide.Keywords : Reutealis trisperma, Crocidolomia binotalis, Botanical pesticide

The paitan plant contains allelopathic compounds for other plants so that the utilize of paitan plant as a source of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) has not been widely applied. This research aimed to study the interaction between LOF dosage and appropriate application method of LOF to increase the growth of kailan plants. The research conducted at experimental garden of UIN Bandung from June-August 2016. The experimental design was a completely randomized design with two factors and replicated four times. The first factor was application methods (A), i.e. a1=direct application to the soil, and a2= spraying. The second factor was LOF dosage (T), i.e. t0: 0 ml plant-1, t1: 20 ml plant-1, t2: 40 ml plant-1, t3: 60 ml plant-1, t4: 80 ml plant-1. The growth parameters observed i.e. plant height (14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 Day after Transplanting (DAT)), leaf area 42 DAT, plant dry weight 42 DAT, and plant fresh weight 42 DAT. The data then analyzed with analysis of variance at a significant level of 5%. If the analysis of variance was significant, the Duncan multiple range test was used at α=5%. The research results showed there was no interaction between method of application with a various dosage of paitan LOF to all of the growth parameters. The application paitan LOF showed similar growth in terms of plant height, leaf area, plant dry, and plant fresh weight. The application method of paitan LOF direct to the soil or spraying to leaves can not increase kailan plant growth.

Bolivian Rainbow Chili is one of the ornamental chili varieties which is unique in the form of its colorful fruit color. The vegetative growth of ornamental chilies requires additional nutrients and the role of microorganisms to obtain optimal growth. This study aims to determine the optimal growth of rainbow chilies using the application of PGPR biological fertilizer, a combination of PGPR biological fertilizer and NPK synthetic fertilizer, as well as a combination of PGPR biological fertilizer and compost organic fertilizer. This research was conducted with a completely randomized design (CRD). The data obtained were then analyzed by ANOVA and continued with the LSD test and Duncan’s test at the 5% test stage. The results showed that the combination treatment of PGPR and compost or PGPR and NPK provided optimal vegetative growth compared to single PGPR treatment.

A research to study the effects of Zeolite and nitrogen fertilizer application on vegetative growth of maize crop in coastal sandy soil was conducted on the research field of Agriculture Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta at Tamantirto, Bantul District of Yogyakarta during October until February, 2003. This research was aimed on the study of Zeolite application in order to enhance the nitrogen uptake in the coastal sandy soil, and its effects on vegetative growth of CP I variety of maize. The pot experiment was arranged in 7 x 3 factorial completely randomized design, with 4 replications. The first factor was Zeolite dosage consisted of 7 levels, i.e:  0, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 %; and the second one was 3 levels nitrogen fertilizer dosage which consisted of: 75, 110, and 145 kg/ ha. The nitrogen fertilizer was applied on the medium mixed with Zeolite granules. Observations on plant height, stem diemeter, leaves number, plant fresh and dry weight were done during the vegetative growth of maize. The results showed that Zeolite application significantly enhanced the vegetative growth of CPI maize. The 5,2  - 5,6  % Zeolite was optimum to gave the maximum growth of maize crop. Nitrogen fertilizer application was also significantly increased the plant height and biomass weight, and the 145 kg/ha was the optimum dosage. There was no interaction between Zeolite and nitrogen fertilizer application in order to affected the maize growth.

The study aims to determine the productivity of pinto beans (Arachis pintoi) which is fertilized with differenttypes of organic fertilizer including its dosage. The study was conducted by using a completely randomized design(CRD) within two patterns of factors. Firstly, organic fertilizers are cow dung (S) and chicken manure (A). Secondly,dosages without fertilizer (D0), 15 tons/ha dosages (D1), 20 tons/ha dosages (D2), dosage of 25 tons/ha (D3); anddosage of 30 tons/ ha (D4) of organic fertilizers. The variables observed were plant height, number of branches,number of leaves, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, total forage dry weight, leaf areat and leaf dry weight ratio withstem dry weight. The results showed no interaction between the type and dosage of fertilizer in which the growthand production of pinto beans (Arachis pintoi) gave the same results by fertilizing with 25-30 tons/ha dosagesof chicken manure. It can be concluded that increasing the productivity of pinto beans (Arachis pintoi) can befertilized with 25-30 tons/ha dosages of chicken manure

A pot experiment was carried out in 2019 in the net house of the Department of Soil, Water and Environment, University of Dhaka, to evaluate the growth and yield of Jute plants (Corchorus capsularies L.) by applying different types of organic manures. Eight different types of organic manures viz. ACI, BGF-1, Mazim, Vermicompost, Shufola, GTS, Green and Poultry manures were collected from the local market. The experiment was set up following a completely randomized design (CRD) with nine treatments and three replications consisting of twenty-seven pots. Significant variation was observed in different growth and yield contributing characters. The highest plant height (19.83cm) in poultry manure, leaf number (8.33/plant) was observed in Green manure, leaf area (21.93 cm2 / plant) in Poultry manure, fresh weight (3.18g) and dry weight (2.25 g) were found in Poultry manure, stem girth (1.67 cm/plant) in Vermicompost, branch number (8.6/plant) in Green manure. The highest nutrient uptake by plants (kg/ha) occurred in Poultry manure. The overall best growth was observed in Poultry manure. J. Biodivers. Conserv. Bioresour. Manag. 2020, 6(1): 17-24

The organic fertilizers such as urban wet-waste compost and vermicompost can improve the physicochemical properties of soil and have a favourite effect on plants growth due to the high nutrient content, high water holding capacity, plant growth regulators, and beneficial microorganisms. In this regard, this study was conducted to evaluate the organic fertilizer mixture on the physiological and morphological indices of tomato seedlings under greenhouse conditions. The experiment was done as factorial in a completely randomized design with 3 replications. The evaluated factors included the vermicompost fertilizer (0, 10, 20, 30 wt %), and the urban wet-waste compost (0, 10, 20, 30 wt %). In evaluation of the simple-effects of vermicompost and urban wet-waste compost the results showed that the 30 wt % level compared to the control sample increased the leaf area (+12.28% and +9.33%). It also increased the number of leaves (+17.5% and +22.9%), dry weight of root (+17.3% and +16.9%), chlorophyll-b content (+4.9% and +12.3 %), carotenoids (+2.9% and +7.9 %), and the total chlorophyll content (+23.7% and +13.8%). Results of evaluating the treatments showed that the vermicompost and urban wet-waste compost mixture in 30 wt % level (V4C4) caused significant increase in the plant height, leaf dry weight, root length, relative water content, cell membrane stability coefficient, efficiency of photochemical performance of PSII and the chlorophyll-a content (compared to other treatments especially low levels of organic fertilizer consumption). According to the final results of this study, using the vermicompost and urban wet waste compost mixture in 30 wt % level is recommended to improve the morphological and physiological traits of tomato in greenhouse conditions.

The Ministry of Agriculture through the Agricultural Quarantine Agency (2019) stated that Robusta coffee has contributed 41% of the country's foreign exchange, with an average export frequency of 102 times per month, and will continue to increase. In connection with the growth in export volume of robusta coffee, coffee farmers need additional substances for the soil in the form of nutrients to be able to meet the soil nutrient needs for coffee from planting to harvest. Organic fertilizer in liquid form is one type of fertilizer that can be an option, in addition to facilitating nutrient absorption. This study aims to determine the response of various liquid organic fertilizers at certain concentrations to the vegetative growth of robusta coffee. The content of C-organic and total Nitogen in the soil which has been given the addition of gamal liquid organic fertilizer and tofu wastewater with the addition of citronella can provide a very significant difference in the vegetative growth of robusta coffee plants at the age of 60 HSP at plant height, and 90 HSP in diameter. stem and number of leaves (strands). Based on the results of laboratory tests carried out, it was also known that the macro and micro nutrient content in the soil with the addition of poc of tofu wastewater which was given citronella had a good content compared to the control and soil conditions with the addition of gamal liquid organic fertilizer.
