This article is a best practice implemented by applying the learning model of SPS-Bansho (Structured Problem Solving using Bansho) at SMPN 18 Tangerang. This best practice has succeeded in increasing students’ mathematics learning activities during the learning process. The observation sheet was used to observe the students’ mathematics learning activities. All indicators of students’ mathematics learning activities were observed during the learning process. Students were challenged more to ask questions during a group or class discussions. They were able to respond to their friends' opinions well, participate in groups, and help friends in completing assignments. Students presented their work in front of the class, and they could summarize the material they have learned.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas belajar, motivasi belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas pada konsep gerak lurus yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA 3 SMAN 3 Kota Bengkulu yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa jumlah skor rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 43 dalam kategori aktif, siklus II sebesar 48 dalam kategori aktif, dan siklus III sebesar 51 dalam kategori aktif. Motivasi belajar siswa sebelum mengikuti proses pembelajaran berada pada kategori rendah dengan tinggi rata-rata yaitu 71,73 dan pada saat setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran skor rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa meningkat menjadi 77,32 yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada siklus I yaitu 75,53 dengan kategori KPM sedang, pada siklus II yaitu 85,53 dengan kategori KPM tinggi dan siklus III yaitu 90,68 dengan kategori KPM sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning  berbantu alat peraga dapat meningkatkan aktivitasbelajar, motivasi belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.Kata kunci: Model Probem Based Lerning, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Siswa, Alat Peraga, Konsep Gerak LurusABSTRACT This research was aimed at knowing the increase in learning activities, learning motivation and students' problem solving abilities. This research was a classroom action research on the concept of straight motion carried out in three cycles. The subjects of this study were all students of class X Science 3 of SMAN 3 Kota Bengkulu, total 33 students. The results of this study indicated that the total score of the average learning activities of students in the first cycle was 43 in the active category, second cycle was 48 in the active category, and the third cycle was 51 in the active category. Student learning motivation before participating in the learning process was in the low category with the average height of 71.73 and after the learning process the average score of students' learning motivation increased to 77.32 which is in the high category. The ability of student problem solving in the first cycle was 75.53 with a moderate KPM category, in the second cycle was 85.53 with a high KPM category and the third cycle was 90.68 with the very high KPM category. Based on the results of this research it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by science model tools can increase learning activities, learning motivation and students' problem solving abilities. Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Students' Problem Solving Abilities, Science Model Tools, Straight Motion Concept.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to: 1) Repairing the learning process by using the group investigation learning model to improve the problem solving ability. 2) To know the big of the improvement of students' problem solving ability using Group Investigation learning model. 3) To know the process of students’ answer in improving the problem solving ability. Type of this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 11Medan academic year 2014/2015. The population of this research was all students at SMP Negeri 11 Medan in grade VIII-7. This study consisted of two cycles, the first cycle consists of two meetings and the second cycle consists of two meetings. The results of this study could be seen: (1) The process of implementation problem based learning was running well because the observation of implementation based teacher side is good category and student side is active category. (2) The improvement of problem solving ability of students by the implementation of group investigation learning model belongs to high category with the normalized gain value is 0.83 where the average of problem solving ability of students in cycle I is 48.16 and in cycle II the average is improved become 91.02. (3) The process of students’ answer is improve from the cycle 1 to cycle II. There are 80% of students to meet the minimum completeness criteria after learning activities using group investigation learning model in small study groups.Keywords: Problem Solving Ability, Group InvestigationABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dengan menggunaka model pembelajaran group investigasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. 2) Untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigasi. 3) Untuk mengetahui proses jawaban siswa dalam peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 11 Medan tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa di SMP Negeri 11 Medan di kelas VIII-7. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus, siklus pertama terdiri dari dua pertemuan, dan siklus kedua dilakukan sebanyak dua pertemuan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dilikat sebagai berikut: (1) proses penerapan model pembelajaran group investigasi berlangsung dengan baik karena observasi yang dilakukan dari sisi guru dikategorikan baik dan dari sisi siswa diaktegorikan aktif. (2) Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigasi dikategorikan tinggi dengan normalisasi gain 0.83 dimana rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada siklus 1 48.16 dan siklus II 91.02. (3) Proses jawaban siswa meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II. Ada lebih dari 80% siswa melewati nilai ketuntasan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran group investigasi dalam kelompok kecil.Keywords: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Grup Investigasi

Realistic mathematics learning is learning that connects and engages the surrounding environment and real experiences that students have experienced in everyday life. The objectives of this study were (1) to find out how to apply realistic mathematics learning approaches to students' problem-solving abilities in fractions material. (2) To determine student learning activities on the application of realistic mathematics learning approaches to students' problem-solving abilities on fraction material. This study uses a descriptive analysis. The subjects in this study were 7th-grade students of SMP Tunas Pelita Binjai, while the objects in this study were the students' problem-solving abilities and student activities during learning. Based on the results of the analysis, it was obtained (1) The application of a realistic mathematics learning approach to students' problem-solving abilities on fractions in Grade 7 was to present contextual problems about fractions, solve contextual problems about fractions, then compare and discuss answers and conclude learning. Based on the learning process, a percentage of 80.55% of students obtained problem-solving abilities above the low category. This shows that the realistic mathematics approach is effective for building students 'problem-solving abilities. (2) Student learning activities on the application of realistic mathematics learning approaches to students' problem-solving abilities on fraction material in Grade 7 are in the good category with a final score of 80.14. So it can be suggested that in the teaching and learning process it is expected that the teacher uses a realistic mathematics learning approach.

The background of this study is that the learning process still uses conventional learning (lecture method) so that there are problems with the ability of creative thinking and student creativity in solving problems. The purpose of this study is to find out the implementation of Scientific Problem Solving (CPS) based Learning to improve the ability to think creatively and Creativity in solving problems.This research method used an experiment with prepostes control group design which was carried out in Kapetak State Middle School SMP2 with 39 students in the experimental class and 38 students in the control class.The results of this study concluded that (1) The implementation of learning using the CPS-based scientific model seemed that the teacher was able to carry out good learning. This is indicated by the implementation of all the CPS-based scientific model syntax indicators by teachers with an average total implementation of the learning process of 87.78% with a very good category. (2) Implementation of the application of scientific-based CPS learning model in teaching and learning activities can improve students' creative thinking skills. This is reflected in the average value of creative thinking achieved by the control class is 65.33, and the average value of creative thinking in the experimental class is 78.89 in the good category. Hypothesis test results are sig. 0.000 <0.05, then the initial hypothesis (H0) is rejected. This means that there are differences in the average creative thinking of students between the experimental class and the control class. (3) There are differences and enhancements in students' creativity in solving problems between those who use the Scientific Creative CPS learning model and those who use learning material lectures on the Excretion System in human students where the experimental class has increased from a pretest value of 55.13 to 75.43, with a value normalized gain 0.43 which is Medium. Whereas in the mean control class from pretest 52.85 it rose to 60.96 in the posttest average, with the normalized gain value of 0.16 which included the low criteria (4) Student responses Regarding creative thinking skills and creativity solving problems after the science learning activities with the CPS learning model Scientific based through questionnaires obtained an average value of 55.18 and categorized as good. The low learning outcomes of students are caused by several problems encountered during the learning process, such as IPA learning process still used teacher centered and lecturing methode. The result of student learning competence still low result and the teacher hasn�t yet used learning models can make student will be active. One effort was made to improve students learning competence by applying problem solving learning models. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of problem solving, learning model to the students' learning competence SMP 13 Padang. This study is an experimental research using the design of The Static Group Comparison. The study population is all students of Class VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The control class uses the learning model commonly used in the classroom IE discovery learning model and experimental class using a problem solving learning model. The research instrument used is a test of learning result and affective and skill assessment in the form of observation sheet. Data were analyzed using t-test for knowledge, competence because the data were normally distributed and homogeneously. Data were analyzed using up-test for affective and skill competence.Result of hypothesis test in both classes of sample, found that class which uses problem solving, learning model have positive effect of student learning competence of Class VIII 6 SMPN 13 Padang such as knowledge, affective and skill competence

This research aimed at assessing the effectiveness of the creative problem-solving learning model in 8th grade of mathematics learning. The assessment of the effectiveness of learning model was reviewed based on three aspects, namely students’ activities, students’ responses to the learning model, and students’ learning outcomes. The type and approach, which used in this research, were quantitative descriptive with the research subjects of 8th-C class; moreover, the subjects consisted of 32 students. The instruments used to assess the effectiveness of the learning model were the students’ activity observation sheet, students’ responses questionnaire, and test sheet. The results of the research showed that the students’ activities were categorized as very good, in which the percentages were 84.38%. The students’ responses were categorized as very good with a percentage of 82.53%. The students’ learning outcomes in a classical manner could be said as complete with the completeness of 71.88%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of creative problem-solving learning model in mathematics learning can be said as effective.

This study aims to find out an overview of how the mathematics learning process on lines and angles in class VII SMP YPK 2 Manokwari, the level of teacher readiness, and to obtain an overview of the implementation of student-centered learning through the contextual learning model that takes place at SMP YPK 2. Manokwari on lines and angles. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that (1) The learning process of mathematics at SMP YPK 2, especially in the material of lines and angles, has gone well in accordance with the learning plan that has been made and in accordance with the learning steps, namely introduction, core activities, closing, and evaluation (2 ) The readiness of the teacher in preparing for learning is good (3) The implementation of learning that is centered on students through the contextual learning model has not been fully carried out due to time constraints and differences in the abilities of each student which are not the same as the lack of existing facilities and infrastructure

Current learning is needed to emphasize student activities to be more constructive. However, learning emphasizes more on the target material and focuses on the final result. This study aims to improve student learning activities and outcomes in Automotive Engineering Basic Work subjects by implementing the ARCS learning model. This type of research is classroom action research, each cycle consisting of stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 40 students of tenth grade State Vocational High School in Purworejo, Indonesia. Data were collected through observation to determine the description of student activities during the learning process. Then the evaluation test was used to determine the final results of student learning after being given the ARCS learning model in the classroom. The study results indicate that the implementation of ARCS learning in the process provides progress on student learning activities and outcomes during the learning process. The results showed that the implementation of the ARCS model increased student learning activities by 74% and increased learning outcomes by 82%. Thus, it can be concluded that the ARCS learning model, in general, can have a potential effect because students are more constructive in learning so that it can be used as a learning reference in vocational high school.

This study is motivated by the issues found in observations at school, where the daily teaching activities carried out by teachers show that; teaching and learning activities are classical, the teacher only stands or sits in front of the class, the direct relationship between the teacher and students is rare, and students tend to behave passively, such as coming, listening, reading and writing. To overcome this issues, the researchers conducted a research by applying a three-step type of cooperative learning model interview in learning mathematics in the class. The purpose of this study is to reveal the activities and learning outcomes of students after applying the three-step interview type cooperative learning model. From the results of the study it was found that the learning activities of students during the application of the three step interview cooperative learning model increased at each meeting. Thus it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students with learning by applying a three-step interview type cooperative learning model is better than those who do not apply the techniques.
