Abstract. Archive topographical maps are a key source of geographical information from past ages, which can be valuable for several science fields. Since manual digitization is usually slow and takes much human resource, automatic methods are preferred, such as deep learning algorithms. Although automatic vectorization is a common problem, there have been few approaches regarding point symbols. In this paper, a point symbol vectorization method is proposed, which was tested on Third Military Survey map sheets using a Mask Regional Convolutional Neural Network (MRCNN). The MRCNN implementation uses the ResNet101 network improved with the Feature Pyramid Network architecture and is developed in a Google Colab environment. The pretrained network was trained on four point symbol categories simultaneously. Results show 90% accuracy, while 94% of symbols detected for some categories on the complete test sheet.

This study aims to describe mathematic creative thinking ability and student’s metacognitive during Covid-19 pandemic in SMA Negeri 1 Andam Dewi. This research was conducted by applying descriptive quantitative method. Sample of this research is 20 students which taken by using cluster random sampling technique from 36 students.  Questionnaire and test were used in collecting the data. Questionnaire sheet shows the average of students’ metacognitive  is 78.61 (good category) and test sheet shows the average of mathematic creative thinking ability is 83.53 (high category). Futhermore by using ttest Kolmogorov- Sminov shows significant value is less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means there is any significant influence of students’ metacognitive on mathematic creative thinking ability during Covid-19 pandemic in SMA Negeri 1 Andam Dewi.

This study was conducted to evaluate respondents' writing ability through the Bloom’s Taxonomy 1956 theory using a critical reading approach. This study was based on three objectives: assessing respondents’ essay writing quality before introducing critical reading, assessing respondents' writing quality after critical reading exposure, and examining the perspective of exposing the critical reading approach. There were 10 form 2 students from an intermediate school located in Negeri Sembilan who were enrolled in the study. All data was collected and analysed from a test sheet, questionnaire and essay marking scheme. There are four reading passages used from form one and two textbooks. The respondents were evaluated by a post test to determine the effectiveness of the teaching of learning about critical reading applications in essay writing. This teaching process has been conducted for four weeks and the respondents have improved their essay writing skills with a critical reading approach. At the end of this study it was realized that critical reading approach can improve essay writing.

The present study proposes the design, simulation, and finite element analysis (FEA) of a mechanical press to test coining tools that contain nanostructured coatings. The designed mechanical testing press has a nominal force capacity of 800 kN with a ram stroke of 100 mm. CAD modeling of components, assemblies, and press structure is developed. The validation of the safety factor of the stress of the press is implemented by FEA analysis. Axisymmetric 2D FEA simulation is applied to determine the nanostructured coating behavior when subjected to high loads, the results are promising for future simulation studies on coatings. A displacement mechanism was designed for the test sheet, offering versatility and a variety of options for testing the coining tools as often as necessary under different load conditions. The final results of the machine operation simulation are satisfactory.

This research aims to make simple modeling of the crystal structure of carbon tetrachloride, diamond, and fullerenes using molymod. The method used is a descriptive quantitative with the research stages including the selection, making, and testing the feasibility of crystal structure. The feasibility of the crystal structure was assessed using a product feasibility test sheet and analyzed using the ideal standard mean equation. The development of a crystal structure model was carried out using a simple and easy method to obtain equipment in the form of molymod. The results of this research indicate that the crystal structure of carbon tetrachloride, diamond, and fullerenes can be interpreted significantly and easily with the help of molymod. The simple model of the crystal structure is also suitable for use as a physics learning medium that can help students understand abstract crystal structure material.

This study aims to determine the correlation between work motivation and work discipline on teacher performance. The formulation of the problems in this study: (1) is there a correlation between work motivation and teacher performance?, (2) is there a correlation between work discipline and teacher performance?, (3) is there a correlation between work motivation and work discipline on teacher performance. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The sample in this study amounted to 74 students. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and documentation. The instrument used was a test sheet. The theories used are teaching and learning strategy theory and learning evaluation theory. The results of this study. Based on the respondents' perceptions of work motivation, a score range of 116-150 was obtained, with a total score of 20409 and an average score of 130.79 which in this case was categorized as quite good. Respondents' perceptions about the effect of work discipline on teacher performance obtained a score range of 107 - 151, with a total score of 20191.00 and an average score of 134.43 which is in the good category. The degree of influence of the work motivation variable (X1) and the work discipline variable (X2) on teacher performance (Y) was 0.73 or 73%. This shows that the teacher's performance (Y) is jointly (simultaneously) influenced by the work motivation variable (X1) and the work discipline variable (X2) by 73% while the remaining 27% is influenced by other factors outside the equation model.

This study aims to determine the motivation and learning outcomes of class VIII-3 students who are taught by a guided inquiry learning model on the material of Newton's Law and style. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages including planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. In this study, there are two types of variables studied, namely: problem variables, namely motivation and science learning outcomes, and action variables, namely the application of guided inquiry learning. The instrument used to measure in this study was a motivation questionnaire instrument and a test sheet. The data analysis used was descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that the application of Guided Inquiry learning can improve motivation and science learning outcomes in Newtonian force and law material for class VIII-3 students of SMP Negeri 2 Tanete Riaja.
