One of the key areas of transformation of the education system is the development of digital infrastructure of universities, which requires a complete transformation of the university's business processes, using new technologies. This will make it possible to make a qualitative jump in the productivity of the university, attract new investments, and reduce costs for various duplicate processes. The purpose of these efforts is to create and implement a single model for managing all communications at the university. From a technological point of view, such a model should include organizational and administrative decisions logically linked to the global information system, which is a decision support system of the advisory type. All this should be a single cross-platform solution, with the ability to automate any business processes of the university, including informatization of university document circulation, organization of research activities in a single module for preparing accounting and departmental reports, Creation of a virtual admissions commission and services of deaneries linked to a mobile multifunctional center for monitoring academic performance and supporting social projects for students, a module of online classes and conferences, as well as a designer of educational programs for faculty. Keywords digital transformation; distance learning; informatization strategy; project management system; digital platform; university communications system; a single information space; decision support system.

In the context of the development of digital economy and the widespread adoption of digital technologies in various fields of life and activities of modern society, the digital transformation of the education system and research activities of the country's population becomes relevant. Universities, as the main links in this system, are entering a new stage, a model of their development in which the digitalization of all its activity fields plays a dominant role. The digital transformation of universities involves a comprehensive transformation of all the basic activities of the university and the infrastructure corresponding to the implementation of these types of activities. Due to the rapid development and widespread use of digital technology, the universities have gained new perspectives and opportunities to improve the quality and convenience of the educational process. Due to the proliferation and widespread use of massive open online courses, the universities have become able to compete globally. The widespread introduction of digital technology in the main areas of university activity is the main condition for accelerating innovative transformations in the preparation of bachelors and masters. Digital transformation is becoming a key mechanism for creating a university’s competitive advantage in the global educational space. The purpose of this work is to investigate methodological approaches to the digital transformation of the main types of university activities: educational, research and entrepreneurial.

The process of digital transformation has been gaining momentum in secondary colleges for agriculture and forestry. Based on data from an online survey about the digital transformation of Austrian secondary colleges of agriculture and forestry this paper gives insights into the status quo. It focuses on three central questions. (I) What is the standard of digital equipment at the colleges in relation to its integration into the learning environment and the education offered? (II) What is the level of confidence of pupils in their own digital competence? (III) Who are the learners and teachers and what are the levels of acceptance of digital transformation among the latter? This paper looks at the above in the greater context of employability within today’s global, political and administrative settings. The paper proposes the notion of a 'digital-generalist' who has a level of expertise and is able to act in an ethically responsible and sustainable way. Moreover, the results reveal that these colleges are undeniably in the process of digital transformation. Nevertheless, it is an ongoing process that should be based on a sustainable and smart integration of modern digital technologies and media into the teaching and learning environment. Suitable equipment, learning settings and teachers trained are crucial for digital transformation in secondary colleges, as is the support from appropriate governing and institutional structures. Furthermore, there are enormous potentials in digital transformation that demand research activities and networking as well as continuous information and awareness-raising.

The education sector is subject to significant changes due to the increasingly active spread of digital technologies. Usually, the trends in the implementation of digital technologies in educational and research activities are set by commercial organizations – private universities, business schools, corporate universities. But public universities and institutions start to think more and more about digital transformation. However, evolutionary path of universities’ digitization was destroyed by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). It was decided to completely close universities, all students started to study from home. In this paper, we aimed to start a discussion about distance learning satisfaction among professors and lecturers; understand their vision about e-learning and the current stage of universities’ digitization. After examination of the current state of university digitization, we have identified major problems which become an obstacle during pandemic.

This paper presents a short review of recent research activities on 5G as the next generation of wireless technology, the requirements they are facing, user scenarios, functionalities, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) as a measure of assessing the performances of these systems. 5G technology also known as International Mobile Telecommunications 2020, (IMT-2020) will dramatically increase the capabilities of the Internet of Things, Vehicle-to-everything and will pave the way for massive machine-type communications. While it is not yet define how the ultimate 5G design will be, it is possible to identify the most important services, functionality and KPIs that will provide satisfactory solutions to innovative digital business models after 2020. It is expected that 5G standards be in focus of Regulation Agencies, mainly through socio-economic analysis. In emerging markets, socio-economic dimensions of wireless connectivity must be considered carefully since data will be basic asset in digital age. This paper also highlights the importance of changes in mindset of regulation framework in telecommunications sector. Strong understanding of digital transformation is crucial in order to stay competitive in dynamic changes in the future.

Structurally-oriented biologists examine cells, tissues, organelles and macromolecules in order to gain insight into cellular and molecular physiology by relating structure to function. The understanding of these structures can be greatly enhanced by the use of techniques for the visualization and quantitative analysis of three-dimensional structure. Three projects from current research activities will be presented in order to illustrate both the present capabilities of computer aided techniques as well as their limitations and future possibilities. The first project concerns the three-dimensional reconstruction of the neuritic plaques found in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease. We have developed a software package “Synu” for investigation of 3D data sets which has been used in conjunction with laser confocal light microscopy to study the structure of the neuritic plaque. Tissue sections of autopsy samples from patients with Alzheimer's disease were double-labeled for tau, a cytoskeletal marker for abnormal neurites, and synaptophysin, a marker of presynaptic terminals.

Abstract. The introduction of the Implicit Association Test (IAT; Greenwald, McGhee, & Schwartz, 1998 ) has stimulated numerous research activities. The IAT is supposed to measure the degree of association between concepts. Instances have to be assigned to these concepts by pressing appropriate keys as quickly as possible. The reaction time difference between certain conditions, termed the IAT effect, is used as an indicator of the degree of the concepts’ association. We tested the hypothesis that the degree of association between one concept (or category) and the instances of the other presented concept also influences reaction times. In our experiment, the instances in the target categories, male and female names, were kept constant. The adjectives in the evaluative categories were manipulated: Either the pleasant adjectives were female-associated and the unpleasant adjectives were male-associated, or vice versa. These stereotypic associations were indeed found to exert a substantial influence on the size of the IAT effect. This finding casts doubt on the assumption that the IAT effect may be interpreted as a pure measure of the degree of association between concepts.
