The area of development has been a sector related to conditions of uncertainty. Activities within the development sector are exposed to many risks need to be considered considering social, environmental, and economic risks to all stakeholders. Risks are all events and situations that threaten the undisturbed execution of the project plan. Risk therefore relates to expectations of stakeholders regarding when and how the project will deliver, what the project will deliver and at what cost. Stakeholders would like to gain the maximum benefits and achieve successful results. So, risk must be effectively planned, monitored, and evaluated periodically by the project management team. Therefore, project risks are important factors determining whether the project will be a success or not. The main aim of this study is to identify the current risk management system adopted in sustainable development projects in Egypt, assess the importance of effective risk management procedure of sustainable development projects in Egypt, Evaluate and analyze the challenges of risk management procedure of sustainable development projects, Identify ways to reduce negative factors which are critical to the success of the sustainable development projects and develop a framework shows how the risk management procedure could improve the sustainable development project chances of success and Increase its efficiency and effectiveness.

The research has as its objective, determine the incidence of the value chain in the sustainable development of the cultivation of Robust Coffee (Coffea canephora) in San Jacinto del Búa parish, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas province. From this, arose a line based on coffee farms, also analyzing Robusta coffee value chain and was drafted the proposal for the development of producers under a sustainable approach. The methodology was not experimental but used deductive, inductive and analytical methods. The diagnosis identified the existence of a culture of international quality, with negative factors such as low unfavorable yields from cultivation, inadequate income, living conditions, all this coupled with the lack of environmental awareness in the producers and marketers. At the same time the value chain shows the low percentage of participation by the producer in the seven marketing channels identified. So it proposed 9 economic indicators, 10 social 7 environmental and 13 technical and productive indicators as a basis for future monitoring of this agricultural activity. Also a plan for sustainable development which contains 30 strategies that will improve the economic, social, environmental was developed and will be displayed in the area.

The World Bank, United Nations, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and others are in line with the governments of countries that are strongly interested in the sustainable development of countries, regions, and enterprises. One of the aspects that affects the indicators and prospects of sustainable development is the efficiency of energy source use. Nationwide reductions in the greenhouse gas emissions of motor vehicles could have a direct effect on ambient temperature and reducing the effects of global warming, which can affect future environmental, societal, and economic development. Significant reductions in fuel consumption can be achieved by increasing the efficiency of use, and the performance, of current cargo vehicles. This aspect is directly related to cargo delivery systems and supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. The article solves the problem of increasing the effectiveness of cargo delivery and proposes a model that would minimize transportation costs that are directly related to fuel consumption, shortening transportation time. The model addresses the problem of a lack of models evaluating the efficiency of cargo to Lithuania that is using several different modes of transportation. For the solution to this problem, the article examines the complexity of the rational use of land and water vehicles depending on the type of cargo transported, the technical capabilities of the vehicles (loading, speed, environmental pollution, fuel consumption, etc.), and the type (cars, railways, ships). The novelty of the findings is based on the availability to select the most appropriate vehicles, on a case-by-case basis, from the available options, depending on their environmental performance and energy efficiency. This model, later in this article, is used for calculations of Lithuanian companies for selecting the most rational vehicle by identifying the most appropriate route, as well as assessing the dynamics of the economic and physical indicators. The model allows for creating dependencies between the main indicators characterizing the transport process—the cost, the time of transport, and the safety, taking into account the dynamics of economic and physical indicators, that lead to a very important issue—reducing the amount of energy required to provide products and services.

Education must guide students’ emotional development, not only to improve their skills and help them achieve their maximum performance, but to establish the foundations of a more cooperative and compassionate society. Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, therefore, implies focusing on emotional aspects as well as financial, social, environmental, and scientific objectives. In this line, the goal of this study is to show how emotional intelligence, which is an essential dimension in the development and management of emotional competences required to build sustainable societies, plays a key role in optimising student’s academic performance in the classroom through compassion and academic commitment. The research model was tested with a questionnaire addressed to 550 students from four higher education institutions and one secondary school. The results of a structural equation analysis confirmed the study hypotheses. Emotional intelligence was shown to be positively related to compassion and higher levels of commitment, which, consequently, led to better academic performance. This finding will encourage interest in developing emotional intelligence, not only for its long-term value in training healthy citizens, but also for its short-term results in the classroom.

The present article provides a substantiation of the need to use the potential of the philosophy of science in designing a sustainable development project. Along with mathematics and informatics, the philosophy of science is viewed as an auxiliary science designed to help clarify the conceptual and methodological nature of scientific theories. New provisions of science philosophy are presented. The proposition that all axiological theories culminate in ethics is proved. It is also substantiated that natural sciences demonstrate ethical relativity. The project, i.e. both the concept and conception (theory) of sustainable development was designed with no consideration of the achievements of science philosophy including scientific ethics. As the project developed its content became not clearer but, on the contrary, more obscured. The project of sustainable development is reevaluated in light of the philosophy of science. It turns out to be nothing more than a paraphrase of the need for the proper development of the ethical relativity of ecology and its place in the system of balanced scientific ethics. The project of sustainable development presents a paraphrase of certain scientific content that has to be properly addressed. Without this, it has no scientific meaning and should be attributed to the field of everyday language. Thus, the time to put the sustainable development project on a scientific track has come.

Risk management has been widely studied and applied in oil and gas pipeline projects, but the reality is that the impacts still occur. This is due to the ineffectiveness of existing risk management applications, so of course in this case an effective risk management system is needed, in which risk management must pay attention to all aspects that exist, both internal aspects, external aspects, and other aspects that can affect and influenced by existing risks and risk management not only can be used as a preventive method. But it can also support sustainable development targets. This paper presents the application of risk management by oil and gas companies in Indonesia that has been adapted to ISO 31000:2009 as a framework that can integrate various other management processes, including the management of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) risk in the hope of that sustainable development can be achieved . But in the reality it can not be denied that the activities that continue to this day still cause negative impact, especially for the environment. International oil and gas companies nowadays place more emphasis on preventive measures than the methods of mitigation. Thus it shows that the concept of sustainable development has not been fully considered in risk management applications. The existence of a continuous negative impact would greatly affect the credibility of oil and gas companies. Based on the results of research conducted with the hybrid method and analyzed with the help of System Dynamics it can be concluded that there are 3 (three) factors that can affect reputation risk, these factors are social, environmental, and economic and the model built in this study shows that it will can help the oil and gas company players to predict and improve the company’s reputation.
