Background: Justice and its implementation are one of the fundamental and innate needs of the human. Employees’ exhibit higher levels of performance, loyalty, act more than their job descriptions when they are treated fairly at the workplace. Organizational injustice negatively affects organizational silence in the workplace and using the workplace spirituality technique decreases this negative effect.Aim: To assess the relation of organizational justice and workplace spirituality with organizational silence behavior among nurses. Methods: Design: A descriptive correlational research design. Setting: The study was conducted at the University Hospital of Menoufia Governorate, Egypt. Subjects: A simple random sample consisted of 372 nurses. Tools: Data were collected by using an organizational justice questionnaire, workplace spirituality questionnaire, and organizational silence behavior scale. Results: the highest percent of the studied nurses had a moderate perception level toward organizational justice, and the mean score of the organizational justice variable was 39.37 ± 6.73. The highest mean score was the interactional justice 18.41 ± 3.16, procedural justice 11.67 ± 2.56, and then the distributive justice dimension 9.51 ± 2.21, respectively. Two-third of the studied nurses had a moderate perception level toward workplace spirituality and the highest the mean score was 27.18 ± 1.68 related to the sense of community dimension. The highest percent of the studied nurses had a high level toward organizational silence behavior and the mean score of the organizational silence variable was 38.24 ± 6.73. Also, the most type of organizational silence behavior was prosocial silence, and the most common cause of nurses silent was “supervisor support for silence factor”.Conclusions: There was a highly statistically significant positive correlation between organizational justice and workplace spirituality and there was a negative correlation between organizational justice, workplace spirituality, and organizational silence behavior among nurses.Recommendations: Nursing Managers have to respect to rights and duties of nurses in making decisions and conducted periodically meeting with their nurses to discuss and solve work problems and have to create a transparent environment in which nurses express their ideas and views to minimize the reasons that push them to remain silent.

Abstract Background Rouen University Hospital implements a policy of health promotion hospital since 2016. The objective of this study was to evaluate prospectively the impact of physical activity promotion in hospital health workers (HW), using pedometers over a period of six months. Methods Physical activity was measured by electronic pedometers distributed to HW, with the aim to improve their physical activity and to measure it during six months. Online questionnaires collected at different points of follow-up, from inclusion to sixth month (a total of seven points of follow-up). Socio-demographic and characteristics on type of health work were collected as well as the number of steps and the behavior regarding their routine physical activity. Results A total of 680 HW were included in the cohort. The sex ratio M:W was 0.16. The mean age was 41.6 years (SD = 10.7). 44.0% were non-medical caregivers, 32.1% were in administrative section, 14.3% were technical workers and 9.7% were physicians or pharmacists; 53.7% of HW reported doing sport regularly. At inclusion the mean number of daily steps was 8662. The mean progression for all professional profiles between first week and sixth month was of 1082 steps daily, with difference according to position: 1319 in physicians, 1234 in non-medical caregivers, 1106 in administrative workers and 314 in technical workers. In linear regression model, the mean number of progression of daily steps was 964 in physicians, 752 in non-medical caregivers. Conclusions The study shows a significant increase in the number of daily steps measured objectively using an incentive tool, as pedometer during six months of intervention. Further researches are needed to determine if these changes are sustainable over a long period of time Key messages Despite high level of daily steps at baseline, the longitudinal study shows an increase of daily steps over a 6-month period. Such public health intervention is a relevant method to engage people in self-monitoring their physical activity.

Introduction: Nursing handover is an important process in hospital care where information and responsibilities are transferred from one nurse to another to ensure continuity of care and safety of patients. However, evidence of the effectiveness of using standardized nursing handover approaches, particularly in resource-limited countries, is scarce. This study was conducted in order to evaluate the change in handover practice through the “I PASS the BATON” model in a university hospital in Vietnam and identify factors contributing to the effectiveness of this model. Material and methods: We provided handover training for nurses in the Emergency Department using the “I PASS the BATON” model and evaluated their application right after the course and one month after the course. Results: The consistency of the handover skill among participating nurses remained high one month after applying the model in the routine care at the hospital. Overall, the mean score achieved after training was high and remained unchanged after one month. However, significant and marginally significant improvement was found in some components one month after the course including the Action and Timing. In contrast, the Next component decreased over time. Evaluation of nurses’ perceptions about the model were assessed using the Health Belief Model which revealed that perceived susceptibility and seriousness were at the moderate level and significantly decreased after one month. In contrast, perceived benefits and barriers were at a high level and remained unchanged after one month. Conclusions: The "I PASS the BATON" model was effective in improving nurses’ handover skills and practices.

Organizational Justice has the potential to create major impact on organizations and employees alike. These include greater commitment, trust, enhanced job performance, more citizenship behaviors and less number of conflicts. It has been reported that employees seem to have a universal concern for Justice that transcends the self and that many are subject to biases at various point of time in their work life. Sometimes these biases lead to adverse outcomes including decreased level of subjective well-being. Subjective well-being is a broad category that includes life satisfaction, positive affect, and low negative affect, such as anger, sadness and fear. Thus to study the relationship between Organizational justice and subjective well-being, a sample of 88 employees working in Private Universities of NCR region were examined. For this purpose, the Organizational Justice scales consisting of Measure of Procedural & Interactional Justice and Distributive Justice Index scale by Moorman, Blakely & Niehoff (1998) and Subjective Wellbeing Scales inclusive of the Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS),Scale of Positive and Negative Experience(SPANE) and Flourishing Scale (FS) by Ed Diener (2004)were used. Results indicate significant relationship between the three types of Organizational justice and subjective well-being of employees.

<div><div><div><p>Peroxides play a central role in many chemical and biological pro- cesses such as the Fenton reaction. The relevance of these compounds lies in the low stability of the O–O bond which upon dissociation results in radical species able to initiate various chemical or biological processes. In this work, a set of 64 DFT functional-basis set combinations has been validated in terms of their capability to describe bond dissociation energies (BDE) for the O–O bond in a database of 14 ROOH peroxides for which experimental values ofBDE are available. Moreover, the electronic contributions to the BDE were obtained for four of the peroxides and the anion H2O2− at the CBS limit at CCSD(T) level with Dunning’s basis sets up to triple–ζ quality provid- ing a reference value for the hydrogen peroxide anion as a model. Almost all the functionals considered here yielded mean absolute deviations around 5.0 kcal mol−1. The smallest values were observed for the ωB97 family and the Minnesota M11 functional with a marked basis set dependence. Despite the mean deviation, order relations among BDE experimental values of peroxides were also considered. The ωB97 family was able to reproduce the relations correctly whereas other functionals presented a marked dependence on the chemical nature of the R group. Interestingly, M11 functional did not show a very good agreement with the established order despite its good performance in the mean error. The obtained results support the use of similar validation strategies for proper prediction of BDE or other molecular properties by DF Tmethods in subsequent related studies.</p></div></div></div>

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between school administrators’ transformational leadership behaviours and teachers’ perceptions of organizational justice. The sample of the study consists of 170 teachers working in high schools in Elazığ city center. In the study, the Transformational Leadership Scale was used to determine whether school administrators exhibit transformational leadership behaviours, and the Organizational Justice Scale was used to determine teachers' perceptions of organizational justice. Pearson moment two-correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis techniques were used in the analysis of the data. According to the research findings, it was observed that school administrators frequently exhibited transformational leadership behaviours and teachers' perceptions of organizational justice were at the level of “I agree”. In general, moderate, positive and significant relationships were found between transformational leadership and organizational justice. According to the results of the regression analysis, it was determined that the idealized influence dimension of transformational leadership positively and significantly predicted the formal procedures dimension of the organizational justice scale, and also idealized influence and individualized consideration dimensions of transformational leadership positively and significantly predicted the interactional justice dimension of the organizational justice scale. The research results were discussed in the relevant literature and recommendations were made.

The article presents the genetic characteristic of the Chukchi reindeer breed. The object of the study was of the Chukchi reindeer. In recent years, the number of reindeer of the Chukchi breed has declined sharply. Reduced reindeer numbers could lead to biodiversity loss. The Chukchi breed of deer has good meat qualities, has high germination viability and is adapted in adverse tundra conditions of Yakutia. Herding of the Chukchi breed of deer in Yakutia are engaged only in the Nizhnekolymsky district. There are four generic communities and the largest of which is the agricultural production cooperative of nomadic tribal community «Turvaurgin», which was chosen to assess the genetic processes of breed using microsatellite markers: Rt6, BMS1788, Rt 30, Rt1, Rt9, FCB193, Rt7, BMS745, C 143, Rt24, OheQ, C217, C32, NVHRT16, T40, C276. It was found that microsatellite markers have a wide range of alleles and generally have a high informative value for identifying of genetic differences between animals and groups of animal. The number of identified alleles is one of the indicators of the genetic diversity of the population. The total number of detected alleles was 127. The Chukchi breed of deer is characterized by a high level of heterozygosity, and the random crossing system prevails over inbreeding in the population. On average, there were 7.9 alleles (Na) per locus, and the mean number of effective alleles (Ne) was 4.1. The index of fixation averaged 0.001. The polymorphism index (PIC) ranged from 0.217 to 0.946, with an average of 0.695.
