As a social being, human life continues in communities with other people. Human being is the only entity that communicates with highly complex learned behaviors that include best use of gestures and mimics, advanced reflex and instinct language as well as language. In our study, we wanted to determine the communication skills of university students with their socio-demographic characteristics. Two separate forms were used in the study. The evaluation of the obtained data was done by SPSS (Version 16.0) Statistical Package Program. The target population of the study is composed of students studying at Marmara University. In the direction of the data obtained within the scope of the research it was observed that the communication skills of the students studying in the departments providing health education are higher. University students are encouraged to develop listening skills and create an environment in which they can express themselves better.

The globalization of world markets which has led to the hegemony of English language over other languages requires graduates from different fields of specialization to equip themselves with English communication skills to communicate effectively in local and international workplace contexts. This study was conducted to investigate the English speaking skills needed by engineering students in the Kwara states of Nigeria. A survey was carried out to compare how the respondents’ (undergraduate engineering students and industry workers in the Kwara State of Nigeria) self-rated their speaking interaction and production skills and to observe their perception of the importance of speaking interaction and production sub skills for workplace communication. The study concluded with suggestions for creating a better perception of the importance of English speaking skills among engineering students and creating a better workplace English curriculum so that students’ workplace speaking skills can be improved.

The interaction between parents and university students is demolishing in a very noticeable manner, with the researcher's observation during his interaction with university students as well as communicating through social platforms, a need to create and launch a practical program that enhances positive communication skills between university students and their parents increased. This study aimed to uncover the effectiveness of an applied program to contribute positive communication skills between preparatory year students in King Abdul Aziz University (KAU) and their parents through a "communication skills course". The study sample consisted of 140 students in the preparatory year taking Communication Skills Course during the first semester of 1438/2017. The researcher applied the experimental method due to its appropriateness for such studies. After comparing the collected data according to statistical tools, the study concluded positive results for the program by a significant increase in students' communication skills with their parents in the program's three sectors: speech, listening and public communication skills.

The present study aims to establish the correlation between communication skills and social interaction among students of the Faculty of Education of a public university in Lima. The research is framed under the positivist paradigm, with a quantitative approach, a basic type, of the non-experimental design, with a cross section, of the sub-type of correlational design.

This study aimed to investigate the communication skills among undergraduate students at Al-Quds University. The researcher obtained responses from (193) undergraduate students enrolled in B.A. program. The researcher used the questionnaire of Hamidat (2007) which composed of (32) statements divided into four areas: listening skill, speaking skill, the skill of understanding others, and controlling emotions skill. The results revealed that university students have achieved a high level of communication skills in three dimensions (listening, speaking, and understanding others). It also showed a medium level in controlling emotions. Moreover, the results showed that there were no significant differences in the level of communication skills according to gender, faculty, or academic year.
