Basic activities are in the form of a necessity and human need, especially in the era of globalization as it is now. Upper limbs have a very high involvement in all activities carried out by humans. Everything that is done daily, especially activities on the function of the upper limbs. Hands and arms are the main actors, so that if certain disturbances occur, it will interfere with mobility and human activities. The shoulder joint is one of the most commonly dislocated large joints, this can occur due to the wide range of motion of the joint, the shallowness of the glenoid fossa, and ligament laxity in some people. Dislocation of the shoulder joint is a condition in which the humeral head shifts from the glenohumeral joint, so that it can cause nerve damage and can occur repeatedly. This journal aims to explain the effectiveness of providing exercise therapy and infrared therapy in shoulder dislocation cases and the reader's knowledge about shoulder dislocation cases. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by taking material based on a literature review. The results showed that providing exercise therapy and infrared therapy to reduce pain, increase muscle strength, increase range of motion, and improve the ability of patients suffering from joint dislocation cases.

The biomechanics of the glenohumeral joint depend on the interaction of both static and dynamic stabilizing structures. The combined effect of these stabilizers is to support the multiple degrees of motion within the glenohumeral joint. Total shoulder arthroplasty requires release of contracted tissues, repair of rotator cuff defects, reconstruction of normal skeletal anatomy with proper sizing, and positioning of components. Arthroplasty of the shoulder is unlike arthroplasty of the hinge joints when the collateral ligaments afford a high degree of stability and is even distinct from the hip when bony conformity is large and range of motion is less. The goal of this paper is biomechanical analyses of normal, injured and implanted shoulder joint.

SummaryThe aim was to determine the relative contribution of the glenohumeral ligaments/joint capsule complex and the limited joint volume/adhesion-cohesion (LJV/AC) mechanisms to the static stability of the canine glenohumeral joint (GHJ). The GHJ of 32 complete cadaver specimens were manipulated to determine the presence of gross laxity (>2mm translation) at joint angles of 150°, 135° and 90°. Following the removal of the peri-articular muscles, laxity was measured by applying a 15N force to the scapula in a variety of directions whilst the humerus was fixed to a jig. This was repeated for the abovementioned angles in intact joints and after venting and flushing to eliminate the LJV/AC mechanisms. Results of clinical palpation and biomechanical studies were compared. Manipulation revealed a marked variation between joints although there was a tendency for progressive laxity as the joint was flexed. This finding was supported by the biomechanical study that also demonstrated no significant difference between intact and vented joints except in a cranio-caudal direction at 135° and 90°, and in a medial/lateral direction at 135°. Static stabilisers permitted a wide range of motion. Individual clinical palpations did not correlate well with biomechanical findings. Manipulation was difficult to perform and is unlikely to be a reliable method for determining subtle joint laxity. The static stabilisers do not appear to play a significant role in providing joint constraint during normal range of motion (except extension). Diagnoses of pathological laxity attributable to the static stabilisers should be made with caution and surgical treatments should take cognizance of the above-mentioned biomechanical features.

Abstract: Rotator cuff of glenohumeral joint is a group of muscles and their tendons which surrounds and protects the wholeness of the glenohumeral joint and functions as a shoulder rotator. Shoulder pain is commonly found and is mostly caused by tendinitis of the rotator cuff or subacromial bursitis. There are four important muscles of this rotator cuff: supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis (SITS) muscles. Among them, the most troublesome is the tendon of supraspinatus muscle that functions as a sheet as well as the abductor of glenohumeral joint. Therefore, tendinitis of this muscle is associated with spontaneous pain and disturbance in lifting the superior extremity. This cuff structure shows that tendons of the SITS muscles together with the capsule of genohumeral joint and the joint structure itself enable a very wide range of motion with a consequence of being troubled easily.

PURPOSE: A wider range of motion of shoulder joint is necessary for explosive throwing performance and the increase of the range of motion by repetitive throwing is inevitable. The wide range of motion is related with the instability of the joint. Neuromuscular control plays an essential role in stabilizing the joint. However, when the joint becomes hypermobile, how neuromuscular control was affected was not clear. The purpose of this study was to compare shoulder neuromuscular control of overhead shoulder athletes and identify the influence of hypermobility on it.METHODS: Total 24 subjects (hypermobility group (HMG); 12 athletes, normal range group (CON); 12 athletes) were recruited in this research. To assess shoulder neuromuscular functions, joint position sense (JPS), the threshold of detection to passive motion (TTDPM), and force reproduction (FR) were measured.RESULTS: In active JPS at HMG was greater than CON at the 90% target angle, (p<.05). In passive JPS, HMG showed lower JPS compared to CON at the 50% target angle (p<.05). In FR, HMG was lower than CON in internal rotation (p<.05). In relationship test, hypermobility was negatively correlated with active JPS (p<.05).CONCLUSIONS: It was found that the hypermobile shoulder has greater neuromuscular control compared normal range shoulder to compensate for the hypermobility and active sub-system plays a crucial role in the neuromuscular control of the shoulder joint. Thus, it is recommended that neuromuscular training should be considered in training program for overhead athletes with hypermobile shoulder.

In the process of evolution from quadrupeds to bipeds, the forelimbs developed into upper limbs. In quadrupeds they serve the purpose of weight bearing and attack. In bipeds they serve fine functions, holding an object, attack and defense. It has been estimated by research group that the hand performs approximately thousand different functions in an ordinary day today’s activity. Apabahuka is one such disease which hampers most of the foresaid functions of the hand. Although any of the classics do not mention about the Shoola as a Laxana of Apabahuka, it still is a feature practically seen in Avabahuka patients. Chikitsa Sara Sangraha and Nidana Sara, clearly mentions about Svedana as a predominant Laxana of Avabahuka, along with other Laxana. It is often said that ‘the pain is often severe enough to disturb the sleep’. Amsa Marma is primarily involved in Avabahuka, it is a Snayu Marma and one of Vaikalyakara Marma, any trauma to this will produce disability or deformity of the shoulder joint. Management of pain is facilitated by Marma Chikitsa i.e. Nidana Parivarjana, Abhyanga, Swedana, Uttarabhaktika Snehapana, Vata Hara Oushadha Sevana, Marmabhighata Chikitsa, Brumhana, Nasya, Lepa, Seka, Nasya, Nasaapaana, Agnikarma, Siravyadha, etc.

Over the last two decades, experimental economics has been gaining relevance in the research of a wide range of issues related to agriculture. In turn, the agricultural activity provides an excellent field of study within which to validate the use of instruments employed by experimental economics. The aim of this study is to analyze the dynamics of the research on the application of experimental economics in agriculture on a global level. Thus, a literature review has been carried out for the period between the years 2000 and 2020 based on a bibliometric study. The main results show that there has been a growing use of experimental economics methods in the research on agriculture, particularly over the last five years. This evolution is evident in the different indicators analyzed and is reflected in the greater scientific production and number of actors involved. The most relevant topics within the research on experimental economics in agriculture focus on the farmer, the markets, the consumer, environmental policy, and public goods. These results can be useful for policy makers and researchers interested in this line of research.

Abstract Purpose To assess the feasibility of total shoulder denervation through two proposed incisions. Methods Total shoulder denervation was performed through an extended delta-pectoral approach and a transverse dorsal approach at the spine of the scapula. The study involved six cadavers. Course and number of articular branches from the lateral pectoral, axillary and supra-scapular nerve were documented. Results All shoulder joint articular branches were accessible through the proposed anterior and posterior approaches. The articular branch of the lateral pectoral nerve and supra scapular nerve were present in all the specimen. Axillary nerve articular branches were variable in number but when present anteriorly were proximal to the deltoid muscular branches and posteriorly proximal to the muscular branches to the teres minor. Conclusion Total glenohumeral denervation was feasible through our proposed anterior and posterior approaches. Enhanced knowledge of articular nerve branches could provide interventional targets for joint and ligament pain, with low risk of muscle weakness.

AbstractThe personality traits that define entrepreneurs have been of significant interest to academic research for several decades. However, previous studies have used vastly different definitions of the term “entrepreneur”, meaning their subjects have ranged from rural farmers to tech-industry start-up founders. Consequently, most research has investigated disparate sub-types of entrepreneurs, which may not allow for inferences to be made regarding the general entrepreneurial population. Despite this, studies have frequently extrapolated results from narrow sub-types to entrepreneurs in general. This variation in entrepreneur samples reduces the comparability of empirical studies and calls into question the reviews that pool results without systematic differentiation between sub-types. The present study offers a novel account by differentiating between the definitions of “entrepreneur” used in studies on entrepreneurs’ personality traits. We conduct a systematic literature review across 95 studies from 1985 to 2020. We uncover three main themes across the previous studies. First, previous research applied a wide range of definitions of the term “entrepreneur”. Second, we identify several inconsistent findings across studies, which may at least partially be due to the use of heterogeneous entrepreneur samples. Third, the few studies that distinguished between various types of entrepreneurs revealed differences between them. Our systematic differentiation between entrepreneur sub-types and our research integration offer a novel perspective that has, to date, been widely neglected in academic research. Future research should use clearly defined entrepreneurial samples and conduct more systematic investigations into the differences between entrepreneur sub-types.
