This study aimed to find the impact of personal selling on the purchasing behavior for youth in buying clothes. To achieve the objectives of the study, hypotheses were formulated and tested on a sample of the target community made up of 289 young men and women. The questionnaire design (32) was divided into five dimensions, four dimensions based on the personal characteristics of salespersons and their display of goods, characteristics of clothing stores, promotion done by salespersons in the sale of clothing, and the fifth focused on youth’s clothes purchasing behavior. The results of the study showed that 76.7% of males and 99.1% of females prefer to purchase from clothing retail stores. The sampling showed that salespersons in retail stores are honest in dealing with their customers but do not have the ability to negotiate with them. They neither have the required sales skill nor play a big role in stimulating sales, and they do not grant discounts to customers. The study recommended the importance of training and qualification for salespersons in personal selling to help them deal truthfully with customers and develop the ability to negotiate. Salespersons should be granted the authority to give discounts to customers.

This study adapts and extends the cultural, administrative, geographic, and economic distance framework. The framework was proposed in the field of international business studies to examine the effect of distances between home and host countries on tourist preference for specialty products. We proposed four hypotheses based on segmentation and distance studies and conducted an empirical analysis of a questionnaire survey of 4474 foreign tourists from 49 different countries and regions visiting Japan. The results suggest that the four dimensions of distance have different impacts on the purchasing behavior of tourists. Moreover, the quadratic model results further suggest the existence of an optimal point of distance. In the discussion, we proposed effective segmentation strategies to increase inbound tourism.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to understand the development of the five dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) over time by taking a founder’s perspective. Design/methodology/approach The paper draws on an in-depth single-case study. It combines semi-structured interviews in the company with archival data, such as annual reports, press clips and interviews in business magazines. Findings The results indicate that the EO dimensions change from being personalized and directly solution-oriented to being intangible value-creation-oriented. Originality/value By suggesting ownership-based EO configurations, this study contributes insights into how different ownership forms propel EO. These configurations – that is, personal, administrative based and intangible focused – show the impact of the EO dimensions and provide a systematic and theoretical understanding of EO change over time.

Additional opinions—that is, dissenting opinions, separate opinions, and declarations—are, by definition, the primary institutional mechanism through which judges can express their individual views on a particular decision, as distinct from the judgment or decision proclaimed on behalf of the institution. Therefore, within the public sphere they are the principal institutional manifestation of the individual—and thus the individuality—of the judge. Consequently, for those who seek to understand the impact of certain personal characteristics upon how a judge discharges their professional functions and, in turn, the wider institutional and systemic implications of the participation of individuals bearing those characteristics, the study of additional opinions would seem a useful analytical enterprise. Using gender diversity at the International Court of Justice as a case study, the purpose of this chapter is twofold: first, to explain the relationship between diversity and additional opinions, and second, to explore the methodological potential, and challenges, that the study of additional opinions entails.

Students with psychosis in school within the ordinary education system are a reality in the classroom. To study their correct adaptation at school, it is necessary to consider numerous factors such as the personal characteristics of the student, environmental variables, educational measures put in place as well as emotional and cognitive aspects. The aim of this research was to monitor the teaching–learning process of a student diagnosed with psychosis and enrolled in a public school at the secondary level in the ordinary modality with support during an academic year, with the usual resources provided by a guidance department to assess the impact of the educational measures and plans on his emotional and academic fields. This was a single case study in which both qualitative and quantitative information was collected (N = 1). The participant was a student with special needs at the secondary level. An analysis of the results of psychometric tests, plan for diversity, observational analysis, academic file, scholastic history, and multiple interviews were carried out. The findings show how the educational curriculum can be adapted to improve the competences of a student with psychosis by encouraging an increase in social abilities and potential cognitive abilities through the counseling department. The conclusions of this research can provide a guideline for comparison of different educational systems, paying greater attention to the development of emotional aspects, and opting for inclusive measures. In this line, this study shows that students with psychosis can share classrooms and studies with their peers, thus fulfilling the principle of educational inclusion.

The conventional role of packaging in buyer products has been to save and protect the product. In fact these days, buyer and manufacture trends propose a progressively significant part for packaging as a tactical tool as well as a marketing strategy. This research aims to investigate the impact of factors influence on packaging design in an impulse purchasing circumstances as a case study of Doritos pack in Manchester city-UK. This research consists of the independent variables represented by visual components and informational components namely (pack graphics, layout, color, photography and illustration, typography, pack size and shape; product information, and package technology) and dependent variable which represented by impulse purchasing behavior. In order to explore the relationship between independent and dependent variables the qualitative method was used to collect primary data through a social media, online, and face to face interviews, which was administered with customers and experts in product innovation. The research sample in this research consists of 34 participants and an expert in product innovation. The results confirm that for most participants in the interviews, the factors which influence on the bad image of current Doritos chips bags in the marketplace are; protection, communication, and information. The research concludes that there are many functions to packaging design in order to ease and communicate with customers; increasingly, there is important role of packaging as a strategic tool to attract consumers’ attention and their perception on the product quality. Brand has important role in identify layout, graphics, color, and typeface. The new packaging design mostly uses the brand in products. Mainly, the packaging design includes all printed information such as made it, where it was made, when it was made, what it contains, how to use it. Moreover, the printed information is given in the brand and its value has to be showed while promoting the product in the market.

AbstractWhile there is a plethora of literature on IT Sourcing (ITS) strategy, little is known about the impact of large-scale agile frameworks on these strategies. Empirical evidence suggests that application of agile frameworks has an impact on governance and processes in large organisations including ITS strategies. Yet, the effects of such frameworks remain unrevealed. This research investigates the impact of agile frameworks on ITS decisions and the way organisations configure their ITS strategies. The research first studies literature to realise that there is a lack of empirical research on ITS strategies in organisations that use agile frameworks. Then, through a systematic literature review, ten different dimensions of ITS are identified and used as the required construct for a multiple-case study at six Netherlands-based organisations. The results reveal that four dimensions, namely sourcing model, location, pricing model, and relational governance are mostly affected by agile frameworks. Furthermore, after more than three years of utilising agile frameworks, case organisations still have not discovered a proper optimum point for these dimensions. The results also uncover that organisations are not fully aware of the impact of agile transformation on the process of ITS decision-making. This process may remain intact for years, resulting in continuous experimentation and trial and error of ITS strategies. We conclude that organisations should recognise the effects of agile frameworks to make ITS decisions accordingly. Additionally, adhering to a more rational and structured decision-making process helps organisations to more efficiently find proper optimum points for the dimensions of ITS strategy.

Due to the problems resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, for example, semiconductor supply shortages impacting the technology industry, micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises have been affected because the profitability of their business models depends on market stability. Therefore, it is essential to propose alternatives to mitigate the various consequences, such as the high costs. One attractive alternative is to replace the physical elements using resource-limited devices powered by machine learning. Novel features can improve the embedded devices’ (such as old smartphones) ability to perceive an environment and be incorporated in a circular model. However, it is essential to measure the impact of substituting the physical elements employing an approach of a sustainable circular economy. For this reason, this paper proposes a sustainable circular index to measure the impact of the substitution of a physical element by virtualization. The index is composed of five dimensions: economic, social, environmental, circular, and performance. In order to describe this index, a case study was employed to measure the path-planning generator for micro aerial vehicles developed using virtual simulation using machine-learning methods. The proposed index allows considering virtualization to extend the life cycle of devices with limited resources based on suggested criteria. Thus, a smartphone and the Jetson nano board were analyzed as replacements of specialized sensors in controlled environments.

This thesis is about women in Kruja, who every day deal with challenges and perspectives to go forward with their lives. I argue that the status and the role of Krutan women are mostly restricted from the impact of a patriarchal society, fanaticism and negative mentality, beside the lack of opportunities that are in place in Kruja. The other stresses include economic issues. Change will come if all the society, girls and boys, men and women, are willing to undertake it.
