This paper compares the abrasibility of aluminium-silicon coatings with silicon crystals of various forms. The tests were performed on Al-Si coatings with the chemical comp67890-osition corresponding to that of hypoeutectic and peritectic silumins (6-10wt% Si), manufactured by hot-dipping on type X2CrTi12 steel and by cold cladding with 60% cold reduction on AlMn1Cu alloy. The hot-dip coatings deposited on X2CrTi12 steel were investigated as made and after a two-stage heat treatment: 420oC/2h/water and 120oC/2h/air. The morphology, shape, and size of silicon crystals in the coatings were studied under a microscope and with the image analysis technique (determining the shape factor among other parameters). Image analysis was also applied to the evaluation of abrasive wear resistance of the coatings using a ball wear test. Their adhesion strength was tested with the scratch test method. The test results indicated that the change in Al-Si coating silicon crystal morphology (from large sharp edged and needle-like to smaller rounded particles) was heat induced, which, compared to the pre-treatment condition, lowered abrasion resistance values and produced a more uniform abrasion loss. This condition was regarded as more desirable in terms of maintaining the coating continuity during drawing, with no risk of spalling. It was also demonstrated that clad Al-Si coatings could provide an alternative solution for the widely used hot dip coatings on steel sheet.

Residual stresses of production origin superimposed with the operational stresses influences the reliability of glass products. The most widely used procedures for their detection and qualification are optical methods that can not be utilized for testing of non-transparent glasses. A recently developed glass qualifying procedure based on scratch test with integrated image processing is applicable for evaluating the residual stresses in surface of both the transparent and non-transparent glasses. The reliability of the suggested test method is greatly dependent on the information content provided by the involved image analysis procedure. The current paper introduces the principle, and methodology of the test method, furthermore presents the latest results gained by applying an improved algorithm of the image processing.

Wear rates obtained from different investigators could vary significantly due to lack of a standard test method. A test methodology is therefore proposed in this paper to enable the steady-state wear rate to be determined more accurately, consistently, and efficiently. The wear test will be divided into four stages: (i) to conduct the transient wear test; (ii) to predict the steady-state wear coefficient with the required sliding distance based on the transient wear data by using Yang’s second wear coefficient equation; (iii) to conduct confirmation runs to obtain the measured steady-state wear coefficient value; and (iv) to convert the steady-state wear coefficient value into a steady-state wear rate. The proposed methodology is supported by wear data obtained previously on aluminium based matrix composite materials. It is capable of giving more accurate steady-state wear coefficient and wear rate values, as well as saving a lot of testing time and labour, by reducing the number of trial runs required to achieve the steady-state wear condition.

Various deposits of CdO grains were observed on the surface of N 100 silicon crystals heated at 580 °C and 620 °C for 1 hour in an evaporation-deposition device, respectively. The ball-shaped crystals, and regular-prism-shaped crystals were found on top of bush-like long crystals. Two types of CdO self-organization aggregates were also observed, that is, regular circular-shaped dense aggregate and long-chainshaped aggregate. The self-organization aggregates were composed of numerous submicron CdO grains. The relationship between self-organization aggregates and surface defects of virgin N 100 silicon crystal was investigated. The results showed that the CdO self-organization aggregates were related to surface defects of the virgin N 100 silicon crystal, and a defect induced aggregation (DIA) model is suggested.

LTX-77 test system is a large IC test system that is used for various kinds of analog IC, digital IC and analog digital mixed IC. It can be used to test DC parameters, AC parameters and logic functions. In the paper, the IC test platform is LTX-77 test system. IC ADC0804 was tested as the test object. The test method of IC is described in the view of actual test. The test results show that the test system is convenient and accurate, which has important practical value for IC manufacturers and users.

This research is a research follow class by using the secound cycle that there is the first cycle and cycle II. On the cycle I and cycle II each cycle there four stage of the (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observations, and (4) reflection. Each cycle has two meetings in one week, namely the first meeting and the second meeting with the allocation 2 x 40 minutes of each meeting. Subject in research is learners class VIII G SMPN 24 Surabaya totaling 37 learners contained 16 learners men and 21 learners woman. This school is located in Jl. Kebraon Indah Permai Blok K/23 A Surabaya. Data collection techniques to use the observation and test, data analysis technique using the percentage of. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that using pictorial writing media on the meme on Instagram can improve the writing skills of class students VIII G SMPN 24 Surabaya. This can be seen from (1) population activity in the cycle I 84,61% on the cycle II 100%, (2) activity learners in cycle I 83,44% on the cycle II 90,20%, (3) the test results writing skills poerty in cycle I 56,73% one the cycle of II increased 83,70%.
