The aim of this study was to study the movement kinematics of a two-wheeled vehicle (TWV) and the factors influencing the severity degree of injuries sustained by a cyclist in a collision with a car by modeling using the MADYMO software (MAthematic DYnamic MOdels). The analysis of the influence of the vehicle speed on the severity degree of injury at a certain moment of collision is carried out. It has been determined that an increase in vehicle speed has a direct effect on an increase in the cyclist's kickback distance. A quantitative assessment of the factors influencing the severity degree of injuries in road traffic accidents is given. Graphs were built and regression equations were obtained depending on the speed of the car and the time of the collision.

Road Trafc Accident (RTA) can be dened as ,'An event that occurs on a way or street open to public trafc; resulting in one or more persons being injured or killed, where at least one moving vehicle is involved. This study was based on Information on victim's age, gender, educational, occupational, time, place of incidence, type of road, whether victim was pedestrian or any vehicle rider, type of offending vehicle, number of people involved, nature, manner and mode of death, parts of the body involved, nature of injuries etc, were collected from interviews of persons/ policeman accompanying the victim's body and from papers involved in the medico-legal autopsy. It was concluded in present study, that we require preventive measures, a systematic approach needs to be incorporated to minimize deaths. More man power needs to be trained and educated to meet these needs.

Road traffic accidents claim over a million lives every year in the world. As per World Health Organization (WHO) it is one of the leading cause of death. India, being a rapidly developing country with expanding economy has its own issues as regarding road traffic accidents due to rapid proliferation of motorization. Road traffic accidents causes enormous morbidity and mortality and at the same time, the toll on the economy of the country as a result of it is quite heavy. Road traffic accident is a result of an interaction among different factors which include the environment, vehicle and the human being. Traditionally it is considered that road traffic accidents are accidents which are unpredictable, inevitable and not preventable. But road traffic accidents are indeed predictable and preventable in majority of the cases. This require the knowledge of factors contributing and leading to road traffic accidents. There are certain preventive measures which if adopted can lead to decrease in morbidity and mortality resulting from RTA. The aim of this study was to identify the impact of family adherence to preventive measures on protecting children aged 2 to 4 years from accidents inside and outside the home in the southern governorates of Jordan. The researcher was used descriptive approach design, as the sample of the study was 1200 mothers who have children aged 2-4 years in the southern governorates of Jordan (Karak, Tafilah, Ma'an and Aqaba). The study discussed the main accidents that a child may be exposed to including burning, suffocation, fall, poisoning, drowning, electrical, and other accidents such as road traffic accidents, glass-related accidents, sharp tools accidents, and strangulation including blind cords. The results revealed that most women were found to have poor knowledge regarding children accidents prevention. In addition, the result showed that there were a significant differences between the training course and the mother education on the protection of children aged 2 to 4 years from accidents in the southern governorates. Moreover, the results showed that the age of mother has an impact difference were the younger mothers were more follow the prevention measures in the protection of children. The resulte revealed that "Other Accidents (road traffic, glass-related, sharp tools and strangulation including blind cords)" was high scour between the seven accidents among the mothers on the southern governorates of Jordan. The researcher recommended that the importance of educating mothers about the need to adhere to preventive measures to protect children from accidents that may occur inside and outside the home.

Background and aim: Among all sites of injury, eyelid laceration seems to be neglected in terms of sufficient epidemiological investigations. With a thorough understanding of the causes of eye lid lacerations, it is possible to develop a better preventive strategy and hence improve the public health policy in this respect. Hence the aim of the study was to understand the type of eyelid injury and study management of the injuries. Materials and methods: A total of 100 cases that were reported to the hospital department opd with the chief complain of blunt as well as penetrating eye lid injuries were included in the study. Evaluation by a physician was done for all cases to note the presence of any systemic diseases and for opinion regarding fitness for surgery. In cases where General Anaesthesia (GA) was used, Anaesthetist examined the patient and opined regarding status of the patient towards                           GA. Results: The results of the present study showed that 3rd and 4th decade were more prone to the eyelid injuries. Majority of the 58 cases showed involvement of left eye whereas the involvement of right eye was seen in 42 cases. In the present study, Minimonoka stent was used for 8 cases of canalicular lacerations and 8 cases of canalicular tear that were not affordable were repaired with 24G Venflon tube. Conclusion: As the injuries occur more commonly due to road traffic accidents showing 54 cases in our study, preventive measures are to be taken while riding such as controlling speed. Domestic injuries are more common in females. This study showed that Minimonoka stent is an effective and easy tool in reconstructing canalicular tear, with successful anatomical and functional integrity.

Background: In Bangladesh fatality rate due to road traffic accidents is rising sharply day by day. At least 2297 people were killed and 5480 were injured in road traffic accidents within 1st six months of 2017.Whereas in the previous year at 2016 at least 1941 people were killed and 4794 were injured within the 1st six months. No survey has been reported in Bangladesh yet correlating ADHD as a reason of impulsive driving which ends up in a road crash.

COVID 19 is undeniably one of the deadliest diseases that humanity has ever seen. It continues to affect the lives and livelihood of people appallingly across the world. Maximum discussions focus towards the apprehension of catching the infection, dwelling in homes, overpopulated nursing homes and shut down of all kinds. But, here let’s discuss the positive side of COVID 19 pandemic.As COVID 19 has spread its influence all over the world, affected countries have either announced lockdown or have implemented severe restrictions in their respective countries. Because of this, everyone dwells in their homes. Thus, exercising social distancing and functioning from home. All of the above is directed at restricting the transmission of coronavirus and expectantly ostracising the fatality from COVID 19. These transformations have also brought about some unanticipated emanations; some good things have come out of the pandemic as well. Positive effects of COVID 19 are seen on reduced road traffic, and road traffic accidents lowered levels of air pollution which has to lead to lowered heart attack rates and rejuvenating environment. Crime rates have fallen, and expenses are reduced in most places. Community action, communication amongst families, behaviour, sanitation, hygiene, online and distance education has positively impacted by COVID 19 pandemic. COVID 19 despite a bane for humans, can be thought of a boon for living beings. The habitats and elements have been purified with the stringent use of petrochemical products. To breathe fresh air and to consume purified water is a boon by itself. Now, it is time for humans to lead a caring life to every bounty bestowed on them by Nature. This thoughtful and considerate life will give hope for a healthy, stress-free life.
