Objectives: In this study, we determine the validity and reliability of the Muscularity Oriented Eating Test (MOET) among Turkish university students, thereby creating the MOET-TR. Methods: First, the MOET was translated by using the translation-back translation method for cultural equivalence. Then, the validity and reliability analyses were performed on 460 university students. To analyze the stability of the scale over time, the MOET-TR was applied to approximately 20% of the sample number for a second time after 2-4 weeks. Results: The one-factor structure of the MOET-TR demonstrated a good agreement with the fix index values. Cronbach's for the MOET-TR was 0.88, and the ICC value was 0.84. In addition, we found a positive statistically significant relationship between the total scores obtained from the DMS, EAT-40, REZZY, and IPAQ-Short forms used to evaluate the convergent divergent validity of the MOET-TR (p < .05). Conclusions: The MOET-TR is suitable for the Turkish culture and can be used to identify individuals who have muscularity oriented eating disorders, who are uncomfortable with their body shape, and who turn their body shapes into a social phobia.

The turbulence problem is still unsolved, through a number of valuable papers have been published on it comparatively recently. But, since Hopf and von Mises proved that uniform shearing motion between two parallel planes was stable for infinitesimal disturbances but unstable for disturbances of a finite size has become more and more widely held. Von mises suggested that the reoughness of the walls might be the determining factor, but the experiments of Schiller have shown that the degree of roughness of the walls is of negligible influence on the critical value of Reynold's number. He concluded that the breakdown of laminar flow depended primarily on the size of the initial disturbance, in agreement eith Osborne Reynold's view. Important papers have been published by Noether and Tollmien, whose conclusions are in contradiction to one another. On the one hand, Noether, by a formal investigation of the asymptotic solutions of the equation governing the two-dimensional disturbances of flow between parallel walls, claims to have proved that all velocity profiles are stable for all values of Reynolds' number. On the other hand, Tollmien has determined a critical value of Reynolds' number for the flow past a flat plate placed edgeways to the stream. This value is in good agreement with the experimental results. There are, however, certain points in his analysis which are not clear and it would be useful to know if the method gave results in agreement with those derived more strictly.

The aim of this study is to determine whether the Happiness Fear Scale (FHS) developed by Joshanloo and Weijers (2014) is suitable for Turkish culture. For this purpose, validity and reliability of the scale were examined. The study consisted of 180 university students, 87 male and 23 female. The linguistic equivalence of the scale was made by translators and experts in psychological counseling and guidance. Exploratory Factor Analysis, Similar Scale Validity, Cronbach Alpha Internal Consistency and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were used in the analysis of the factor analysis of the scale. The scale presents a one-dimensional structure and accounts for 65% of the total variance. The item total correlation scores ranged from .60 to .72. The one-dimensional structure of the scale was well matched by the model (RMSEA = .06, AGFI = 0.92, NFI = .98, GFI = 0.9, CFI = 0.99, IFI = 0.99, RFI = .95, and SRMR = .03). The internal consistency coefficient was found .86. From here it is possible to say that this scale is a reliable and valid measuring instrument suitable for Turkish culture.

Abstract. The risks emanating from the abusive use of the Internet are on the rise, especially among young adults causing psychological problems in their social and personal lifestyles. To date, there are only two validated measures in the Italian language to measure the risk of Internet addiction. This study served to validate an Italian version of the Internet Abusive Use Questionnaire (IAUQ-I) via a translation-back-translation process. A sample of 289 Italian university students participated in the study (73.70% females). The results of the exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis established the unidimensional factorial structure of the scale. Validity and reliability analyses indicated adequate results concerning the psychometric properties of the Italian IAUQ-I. We also found an association between IAUQ-I and self-esteem, and personality traits. This study shows that the IAUQ-I represents a valid instrument for measuring the abusive use of the Internet and could be used not only for further epidemiological studies, but also to inform practitioners working with persons addicted to technology.

Abstract. Background: The PMH-scale is a person-centered, brief and psychometrically sound scale measuring positive mental health. Considering the practicality of the scale and the good psychometric properties reported previously, the adaptation of the PMH-scale to Turkish may provide professionals and researchers a beneficial tool to assess well-being. Aims: This study was designed to investigate the psychometric properties of the Positive Mental Health Scale among Turkish university students by utilizing a cross-sectional correlational survey model. Method: For the adaptation of the scale, different validity and reliability tests were performed. Confirmatory factor analysis was run for construct validity. Convergent validity was assessed by examining relations of the scale with Life Orientation Test, Short Depression-Happiness Scale, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, and General Self-Efficacy Scale. Reliability was assessed with internal consistency and composite reliability. Measurement invariance across genders was tested through Structural Equation Modelling. Results: Validity and reliability analyses provided satisfactory results. Results of confirmatory factor analysis revealed that current data fit the original unidimensional model. Besides, measurement invariance analysis provided validity evidence in terms of gender invariance. Limitations: Findings of the present study were limited to university students, most of whom were female. Conclusion: In conclusion, the Turkish Positive Mental Health Scale was found to be valid and reliable in the sample of university students.

Abstract: The objectives of this study were to develop a unified Portuguese-language version, for use in Brazil and Portugal, of the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) and to estimate its validity, reliability, and internal consistency in Brazilian and Portuguese female university students. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed using both original (34-item) and shortened (8-item) versions. The model's fit was assessed with χ²/df, CFI, NFI, and RMSEA. Concurrent and convergent validity were assessed. Reliability was estimated through internal consistency and composite reliability (α). Transnational invariance of the BSQ was tested using multi-group analysis. The original 32-item model was refined to present a better fit and adequate validity and reliability. The shortened model was stable in both independent samples and in transnational samples (Brazil and Portugal). The use of this unified version is recommended for the assessment of body shape concerns in both Brazilian and Portuguese college students.

Palabras clave: adicción, equivalencia de medición, facebook, fiabilidad, análisis factorialAbstractThe impact of social networks on daily life has become complex in establishing limits between normal and pathological use that could lead to an addictive disorder. The objective of this study was to provide evidence of validity and reliability of the BFAS scale in the population of university students. The evaluation of the evidences of validity and reliability was carried out in a sample of 510 university students. The average age of the participants was 20.74 years (DE age = 2.57), 54.1% were women, there were slight differences at the group level (sex) but not at the practical significance level d = .18. To measure Facebook addiction, the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS) and the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) questionnaire were used as a measure of contrast (r = .60), the level of influence of one variable over the other found was of 36% The internal structure was determined under the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) that replicated the one-dimensionality (CFI = .994, RMSEA = .061). In addition, the equivalence of measurement was evaluated using multigroup factor analysis models (CFA-MG) where different levels of invariance were found according to sex. The relevant use of the Cronbach alpha coefficient was corroborated by the implementation of restrictions in confirmatory models to evaluate tau-equivalence and parallel measures, where it obtained an optimal results of α = .84. This version on spanish of the BFAS provides evidence of validity and reliability, which are useful for research due to its need to be included in batteries that assess addictions to social networks.Key words: addiction, equivalence measurement, Facebook, reliability, factor analysis
