Technology is indispensable in today's era and we have to think about how we can utilize it to create and impart effective leadership and learning in the schools. The essence of technology is strongly felt in education than ever before. The school leader who harnesses technology advances in every aspect and becomes a technology leader. Technology advancement is professional growth and it affects school leadership. The purpose of this action research was to find out the impact of technology on school leadership. The pre-test and post-test were carried out and data were analyzed accordingly. The questionnaire was categorized into three aspects such as communication, student learning, and administrative and managerial. The pre-test and post-test data showed a change in responses and the rating score on the questionnaire indicated the effectiveness of intervention strategies and the impact of technology on school leadership. The findings also show a significant positive correlation between technology and school leadership. It was found out that technology has a greater impact on school leadership, student learning and also amplifies communication skills.

The purpose of this research was to study the impact of collaborative learning strategies on social maturity and its various dimensions viz. personal adequacy, interpersonal adequacy, and social adequacy, of secondary school students. The study was quasiexperimental and used matched pairs pre-test post-test research design. A Higher Secondary School in Educational Zone Hiranagar of District Kathua was chosen for the intervention. The study was conducted on sixty-six students of two sections of class 9th. Two sections were randomly assigned to collaborative and traditional learning conditions. Four methods of collaborative learning viz. Think-Pair-Share, Numbered Heads Together, Jigsaw, and Fish-Bowl were used for a period of over five weeks. The results were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and a critical ratio (CR). The results of the study showed that this approach was successful in increasing personal adequacy, interpersonal adequacy, social adequacy and overall social maturity of secondary school students.

Science education in Rwandan schools still faces a number of challenges including the lack or shortage of equipment available for science experiments. This paper describes research conducted to assess the impact of using improvised versus conventional laboratory equipment in experiments. Eighty-five lower secondary school students were assessed using a semi-experimental post-test design on thermal expansion of bodies. Data analysis using a t-test produced a t-Stat of 2.74 over a t-Critical of 1.98 indicating a statistical significance between the two experimental groups in favour of the group using improvised equipment. As a result, it is recommended that improvised equipment be used in those instances in which there is a lack or shortage of conventional equipment since students’ achievement was similar regardless of the type of equipment used.

The objective of the current research is to identify the effect of using the student's guide bag on the attitudes and professional tendencies of high school students who have learning difficulties in Riyadh city. The researcher used two tools: the student's guide bag and the vocational awareness scale. After the data were collected and statistically analyzed by calculating the arithmetic mean to identify the differences between the pre-test and post-test of the occupational awareness scale, and the ETA box (2). The study found that there are statistically significant differences At a level of significance less than (0.05) among the average responses of secondary school students who have learning difficulties in the tribal and post-application of the vocational awareness scale. There is a high impact on the effectiveness of the student's student bag program to improve vocational awareness among high school students who have learning difficulties To study the need to pay attention to vocational guidance and support materially and morally, and to participate students who have learning difficulties themselves in planning guidance programs.

The study examined the impact of boarding Secondary Schools on students’ achievement in mathematics. The study was conducted in Ogbia Education Zone of Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Two research questions and their corresponding null hypotheses guided the study. A post-test only of quasi- experimental research design was adopted. Furthermore, a purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 219 senior secondary school class 1 (SSS 1) mathematics students from a mixed model boarding secondary school. This school consisted of both boarding and day students. A Mathematics Achievement Test (MAT) was used to collect data from the students after a period of instruction that lasted for one full academic term. All data collected were analysed by the methods of mean, standard deviation and t-test statistics. The finding indicated that the establishment of the model boarding secondary schools by the Bayelsa State Government had a very significant impact on students’ achievement in mathematics. The study recommended that more model boarding secondary schools should be established by the Bayelsa State Government.

The continual cycle of education reform movements suggests that there is a need for principals to evaluate and re-define their leadership roles on a continuous basis. The expanded expectations and responsibilities placed on schools have seemingly created a need for school leadership to be shared or distributed among teachers and principals. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between teacher empowerment and principal effectiveness in secondary schools of Islamabad. It was correlational study included the collection of quantitative data to obtain greater understanding and detail about the relationships between teacher empowerment and principal effectiveness as perceived by teachers. The population of the study was 458 Secondary School male teachers working in 45 secondary schools. The 229 Secondary School Teachers were taken as a sample by a random sampling technique which is 50% of the population. Two standardized instruments i.e. School Participant Empowerment Scale and Audit of Principal Effectiveness were used for collection of data on the study of two variables. Pearson r) Mean and Standard Deviation were used for data analysis. The findings of this study were showed significant relationships between Teacher Empowerment and Principal Effectiveness. It is concluded that the teacher’s empowerment in schools enhanced the effectiveness of the principals. This study aimed to investigate the impact of virtual laboratories (VLabs) on academic achievement and Learning Motivation in the Students of Sudanese Secondary School in the subject of chemistry. The study followed a quasi-experimental method. The population consisted of second-grade students of Almutamaar school boys in Omdurman, the study sample was selected randomly totaling 54 students were divided randomly into two groups: 27 for experimental group and 27 for control group. The study used achievement pre & post tests, and Learning Motivation scale as tools for data collection. The result showed that  there  were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of students of the experimental group (a group is taught by VLabs) and control group (a group is taught by conventional method) in the post test in favor of the experimental group, and there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of pre and post test for the students of the experimental group in favor of the post test, and there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the Learning Motivation scale between the experimental group( taught by VLabs) and control group (taught by conventional method)  for the favor of the experimental group too.

It is the need of the hour to incorporate peace promotion as one of the significant features of the educational institutions in Pakistan. The present study explores the impact of a peace promotion intervention, with control and experimental groups, in order to understand if specific planned activities can significantly improve the peacebuilding attitudes of students. The study is experimental in nature, administering a pre-test and a post-test for both the control and experimental groups. Two equal samples (n=69) of 10th-grade (secondary school) students were selected — using a random sampling technique — for the control and experimental groups. The results of this study indicated that peace interventions — comprising games, hands-on activities, and dialogues — contributed significantly to improving the peace-building attitudes of the students in the experimental group. In addition, the female students of the experimental group exhibited a greater improvement in their peace building attitudes in the post-test phase as compared to their male counterparts. Furthermore, the study also reveals that the female students in the control group also depicted improvement in the post-test. This research presents implications for policymakers and educationists that need to be considered when introducing peace promotion activities into the (secondary) school curriculum. This article argues that practical activities — targeted to inculcate peaceful behavior in the students — can serve as important tools in establishing an environment of peace in society in general.

This chapter explores the evolution of thinking about learning, resulting from the increasingly ubiquitous presence of instructional technology and communications technology in learning environments. It provides a short history of the pedagogical growth of technology usage. It further describes the impact of technology on the potential transformation of four-walled classrooms into global, online learning communities from a constructivist perspective, while looking at learner/teacher roles in the learning process. The Global Forum on School Leadership (GFSL) and the Global Forum on Educational Research (GFER) are introduced as applications of interactive educational technology, suitable for twenty-first century learners, teachers, and school leaders, that emphasize creation of new knowledge using exploration and collaboration through self directed, technology-enhanced learning controlled by the learner. The intent of this discussion is to explore the impact of technology on learning, and recognize the transformative power behind introducing this learning experience into school leader preparation programs.

This study aims 1) to determine the validity and reliability of the robot transporter learning media instrument, 2) to know the differences in the student learning outcomes between the use of robot transporter and PowerPoint as learning media, and 3) to know how much the learning gain score from the use of these two media. A pre-test-post-test comparison group design type was used. A sample of 60 vocational students participated in two groups, the experimental group (N = 30) and the control group (N = 30).  The results show that the robot transporter learning media is categorized as valid and reliable. The t-test result is 12.589 greater than the t table, namely 2.3596 with a significance of 0.05. Therefore, there is a difference in student learning outcomes. The mean of learning gain score on the robot transporter is 0.694, higher than the mean of learning gain score on the PowerPoint which is 0.289. The use of robot transporter as learning media can help students to be more interactively involved in learning. This is indicated by the students' post-test scores and the value of the gain learning in the experimental class was higher than the control class.
