Jatigede Reservoir has water input from the Cimanuk River. This river has gone through several anthropogenic activities that can affect its waters. Changes in conditions can occur due to changes in ecosystems carried out by several ecological aspects, one of which is the distribution of biota structures. The purpose of this study is to map the distribution of phytoplankton through spatial distribution both horizontally and vertically at the Jatigede Reservoir, West Java. The study began in July 2019 until September 2019. This research uses survey method. Sampling was carried out at 4 stations on the surface, half of the compensation depth, and compensation depth. The water parameters analyzed are transparency, temperature, depth, current, pH, CO2, BOD, DO, NO3-, PO43-, NH3, fitoplankton abundance, diversity index and dominance index. The results showed that 49 genera from 11 classes and 5 phyla were identified. Diversity index during the study reached between 0.904-2.062 and the dominance index was in the range of 0.267-0.681. The highest phytoplankton composition at each station and depth was found in the Bacillariophyceae class as much as 59.65% with an average abundance of 5523 ind/L.11 phytoplankton classes found during the study were identified at all observation stations, except in the eustigmatophyceae and mediophyceae classes.

Citarum River is the longest river in West Java Province, it is utilized for various anthropogenic activities that will affect the water quality, ecological state, and parameters of nitrates and phosphates in the waters of Citarum River. Nitrate and phosphate content can affect Phytoplankton abundance. Phytoplankton is a bioindicator to determine water quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the association of nitrates and phosphates with the abundance of phytoplankton and determine the quality of water in the Citarum River. The study began in August 2020 until September 2020. The research uses a survey method with a purposive sampling technique. Sampling was carried out at 5 stations with 5 times repetitions every 7 days. The water parameter analyzed are transparency, temperature, current, pH, DO, BOD, PO42-,NO3-, Phytoplankton abundance, diversity index, and dominance index. Results showed that phytoplankton in the citarum river there were 24 genera divided into 4 phylum. Diversity index during the study reached between 0,91 – 0,99 and dominance index was in the range 0,01 – 0,2. Phytoplankton abundance ranges from 11 to 1292 ind/L. The highest genera phytoplankton composition at each station was found is Synedra as much as 1087 ind/ L. Nitrate content ranges from 0.13 - 0.33 mg/l and phosphate content range from 0.13 - 0.29 mg/l. The acquisition of R square value based on the simultaneous analysis of the relationship between nitrate and phosphate and the abundance of phytoplankton was 43,9% and 56,1% was influenced by other several factor namely temperature, water transparency, nutrient, and water flow.

The Cisayong area of ​​Tasikmalaya Regency is an area that is passed by the Citanduy River. Citanduy River has received a variety of inputs, that affect the river water quality and cause pollution. Macrozoobenthos can be used as an indicator of water pollution. This research aims to determine the spatial distribution of the macrozoobenthic community as a bioindicator of organic matter pollution in the Citanduy River, Cisayong Tasikmalaya Region, West Java. This research was conducted on January 2 - March 3, 2020. The research method used a field survey method. The data collection technique used purposive sampling by determining 4 stations based on environmental factors and land use around the river flow. The results of the macrozoobenthic spatial distribution along the Citanduy River were different at each observation location. At station 1 several intolerant species Heptagenia sp., Leptophelbia sp., and Hydropsyche sp. Were found, station 2 found several facultative species Melanoides tuberculata, Lymnea sp., Tarebia granifera, Sulcosfira testudinaria, Filopaludina javanica, and Pomacea canalicuta, station 3 found several tolerant species Chironomus sp., and Tubifex sp., station 4 were found several species of facultative and tolerant macrozoobenthos Melanoides tuberculata, Lymnea sp., Tarebia granifera, Sulcosfira testudinaria, Filopaludina javanica, Pomacea canalicuta, and Tubifex sp. The abundance of macrozoobenthos in the Citanduy River ranges from 1460-2540 ind/m2. Diversity index ranges from 1.53 to 1.79. The uniformity index ranges from 0.45 to 0.53. Species deficits at each station are different. The Morisita index ranges from 0.48 to 1.12 representing uniform categories and groups.

Maro River is one of the major rivers in Merauke Regency that has a width of about 43-900 m and length of 300 km. The purpose of this study is to find out the type and composition of fish caught using gill net in Maro River, Merauke Regency. This study was conducted in Maro River, Merauke Regency from May to June 2014. It was conducted using survey method. The data analysis included: species composition, relative abundance, availability frequency, diversity index and dominance index. The results of showed 1,084 fish in 17 species with the following composition; 490 of Kurtus gulliveri species (37,01%), 212 of Eleutheronema tetradactylum species (20,33%), 170 of Polydactylus plebeius species (16,30%), 75 of crassilabris Cinetodus species (7,19%), 64 of Cinetodus froggatti species (6,14%), 37 of Argyrosomus amoyensis species (3,55%), 20 of Mugil cephalus species (1,92%), 15 of Megalops cyprinoides species (1,53%), 15 of Thryssa scratchleyi species (1,4%), 12 of Lebtobrama sp species (1,15%), 9 of Lates calcarifer species (0,86%), 7 of Marilyna meraukensis species (0,67%), 7 of Scomberomorus commerson species (0,67%), 5 of Nibea squamosal species (0,48%), 4 of Rhinoptera javanica species (0,38%), 3 of Harpadon microchir species (0,29%) and 1 of Datnioides campbelli species (0,10%). Based on the availability frequency, there are 37 species with a percentage of 100%, 37 species with 67% and 7 species with 33%. The diversity of fish has a moderate value of 1<H’<3. The obtained dominance index value is close to 0, then it is stated that there is no species found to be dominant.

The research was conducted in December 2019 at Sungai Mesjid Village Dumai Riau Province. This study aims were to know the condition of water quality, know the structure of the phytoplankton community, know the concentration of chlorophyll-a and know the effect between chlorophyll-a concentration and phytoplankton abundance in waters. The method used in this study was a survey method. The research location is divided into 3 station points namely Bangsal Aceh, Marine Station and Jalan Dermaga. The results showed that the quality of waters classified as oligotrophic waters. Phytoplankton found in this study consisted of 4 classes and 12 species of phytoplankton and the abundance of phytoplankton has a range between 195.57 - 244.33 ind./l. Diversity index (H') ranges from 1.2951 - 2.1705, dominance index (D) ranges from 0.24 to 0.46 and uniformity index (E) ranges from 0.7825 to 0.9551. The chlorophyll-a concentration in waters of Sungai Mesjid Village in Dumai ranged from 0.0025 to 0.0210 mg/L. Phytoplankton abundance and chlorophyll-a concentration has a moderate effect, wherewith increasing chlorophyll-a concentration, phytoplankton abundance will also increase

The purpose of this research is to determine the condition of waters in the Citarik River with the periphyton community as a bio indicator. This research was conducted from March-April 2019. The research method used was a survey method at 4 station points, five times sampling with a span of 7 days. The smallest periphyton abundance is in station IV which is 22 ind/cm2 and the most is in station I which is 18278 ind/cm2. Comparison of species deficit values at each station is different, this is influenced by different physical and chemical parameters. The dominance index value in the waters of the Citarik River ranges from 0.1 to 0.8 and the diversity index value ranges from 0.2 to 0.9. The results showed the Citarik River was in a mildly polluted condition.

Fisheries production in the mainland waters of Mappi Regency is larger (27.48%) compared to marine fisheries (8.53%).  Edera District is one of the districts in Mappi District which contributes to the potential of fisheries specifically for mainland waters. This study aims to determine the diversity of fish species in the Digoel River, Edera District, Mappi Regency. The fishing gear used is gill nets, stocking nets, fixed lines, fishing rods and spoon nets (tanggo).  The study was conducted in August - October 2017 using the survey method. The variables analyzed were the species diversity index, evenness index, dominance index and relative abundance index.  The results of the study obtained 28 species of fish which were divided into 8 orders of 20 families and 28 species. The value of the diversity of fish species is moderate, the Evenness value is relatively stable and evenly distributed, the type of dominance in Di shows that there is no dominance of species and the relative abundance of Kr is medium. Sponges are the most primitive multicellular animals that live in various types of waters from freshwater, brackish and sea. Sponges live in bottom waters that typically stick themselves on hard substrate such as rock or coral and compete with other tacks organism to obtain a food hall. The research was conducted in Kasiak Island Pariaman regency West Sumatera in February-March 2019, aims to find outthe type, density, frequency of occurrence, diversity index, dominance index, the distribution pattern of sponge, To support the research data is also observed the characteristics of the environment such as water quality. The method used is survey method, where sampling using belt transect method performed on three stations. The research found 14 genus / species of sponge consisting of 11 families in island waters Kasiak with sponge density values obtained in each research station ranges from 1458-4208 ind / ha. The highest frequency of occurrence of the type Jaspis sp. with the frequency of occurrence of 100%. Diversity index values ranged from 1.8921 to 1.9488, dominance index value obtained was from 0.3163 to 0.3396, and the value of the distribution pattern of the sponge ranges from 0.2941 to 0.3015.

The Citarum River is the longest river in West Java Province which is used for various human activities to produce a load of waste input into water bodies which cause changes in the physical and chemical parameters of the waters that will affect the life of aquatic organisms that live in it, one of which is zooplankton. Zooplankton can be used as a water bioindicator because it has a high level of sensitivity to pollution, especially in freshwater. The purpose of this research is to determine the physical-chemical quality of the water in the Citarum River and its influence on the structure of the zooplankton community in this environment. The research was carried out from August 2020 until October 2020 with a purposive sampling method. Sampling was carried out at 5 stations with 6 repetitions every 1 week. The parameters observed were physical and chemical parameters of the waters, an abundance of zooplankton, diversity index, and dominance index. The results showed that the composition of zooplankton in the Upstream Citarum River was 15 genus consisting of 2 phyla. The abundance of zooplankton obtained ranged from 21 - 51 individuals/L. The Simpson diversity index (D) obtained a range between 0.59 - 0.73 for the high category. The dominance index obtained ranges from 0.27 to 0.41 for the low category. Dissolved oxygen and pH are the parameters that most influence the presence of most of the identified zooplankton orders.

Edera District is the one of separated districts of six districts in the Mappi Regency. The increasing of community population has caused an increase  activities in resource utilization, especially in the Digoel River area. As a result of excessive utilization activities can potentially cause pollution that threatens the existence and continuity of organisms such as Gastropods. This study aims to determine the community structure of Gastropods in the Digoel River in Edera District, Mappi Regency. The study lasted for 3 months from January to March 2018 by using the survey method and reviewing several variables including: diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index. The results showed that at the 3 observation stations the total sample was 1233 individuals. The highest diversity index value was at station II, namely itlic. and lowest was at station I Ellobium chinense species. Uniformity index shows that the number of uniformity is not evenly distributed in all three stations due to the occurrence of certain types of dominance.   Keywords: Gastropoda; Community Structure;  Digoel River; Mappi Regeucy Regeucy

In the present study, an attempt was made to document the spatial distribution and diversity inventory of macro-benthic fauna from 21 sampling stations of the Indian Sundarbanfor a period of six months from November 2014 to April 2015. A total of 1,871 individuals belonging to 35 species were recorded which comprised 12 species of molluscs, 20 species of crustaceans, one species each of xiphosurid, sea anemone and fish. The frequency analysis of species revealed that the most dominant species were Telescopium telescopium and Tubuca rosea among molluscs and crustaceans, respectively. The density analysis of the species showed that Pirenella cingulata and T. rosea had maximum values among molluscs and crustaceans, respectively. The average values of Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Simpson diversity index, dominance index and Margalef diversity index were found to be 2.712, 0.888, 0.111 and 4.513, respectively.
