Nowadays, major impact of researchers’ toevaluate the intensity of anxiety between Anxiety Disorder with the Patient, and theirefficacy of enlightened muscle relaxation and disorder of anxiety to the patients, intensity of anxiety amongst mental health center describe the anxiety disorder patients with correlated with the social cum geographical values. Hypothesis,  nominated socio demographic variables around the difference between posttest level and pretestanxiety of disorder patients. Nearby is an important association among intensity of unease. In tangible background: Inaccurate Roy’s variation classical was cast-off for this study. Methodology: A Pre-experimental and progressive muscle and decreasetherapy by used as a posttest. 40 anxiety ailment patients were confident by successive sampling process.Hypothesis formulated between. Pre and posttest was shown progressive muscle relaxation on forty minutes trainingto the anxiety patients on 5 consecutive days. In our results suggested anxiety patients output of reduced levels of anxiety disorder on the 6th day of posttest. To evaluate the Reformist muscle slackening is non-invasive, cost effective, non – pharmacological complementary therapy to between disorder patients with anxiety and diminish anxiety. Also posttest levels varied with age, academic qualification, anxiety, social value and alcoholic addiction and its duration.

AbstractGastritis is inflammation of the gastric mucosa which can last for six months or more and can cause recurrence. Gastritis is characterized by signs and symptoms, namely pain in the gut or epigacentrum, vomiting, nausea and vomiting. Pain is a personal experience that is described by the individual himself with several factors such as psychological that can control the pain. Pain can be treated with pharmacological and non-pharmacological techniques. An example of a non-pharmacological technique is the progressive muscle relaxation technique. Progressive muscle relaxation is a technique for reducing pain by moving the body so that it relaxes tight muscles. The purpose of this scientific paper is to describe the effect of progressive muscle relaxation techniques to reduce pain in gastritis patients. The method used in this scientific paper is Literature review by searching for journals with the title the effect of progressive muscle relaxation techniques to reduce pain in gastritis patients. The results obtained after progressive muscle relaxation measures are reduced or lost pain in gastritis patients. The conclusion of this scientific paper is that progressive muscle relaxation techniques can reduce pain in gastritis patients. Suggestions for nurses are expected to be able to apply complementary therapy to gastritis patients who experience pain with progressive muscle relaxation techniques.Keywords:Gastritis, Pain, Progressive Muscle Relaxation Techniques AbstrakGastritis adalah mukosa lambung mengalami peradangan yang dapat berangsung lama selama enam bulan atau lebih dan dapat menimbulkan kekambuhan. Nyeri merupakan pengalaman pribadi yang digambarkan oleh individu itu sendiri dengan beberapa faktor seperti psikologis yang dapat mengontrol nyeri tersebut. Nyeri dapat ditangani dengan teknik farmakologi dan non farmakologi. Contoh teknik non farmakologi adalah teknik relaksasi otot progresif. Relaksasi otot progresif adalah teknik untuk menurunkan nyeri dengan melakukan gerakan gerakan tubuh sehingga meriekskan otot otot yang kaku. Tujuan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengaruh teknik relaksasi otot progresif untuk menurunkan nyeri pada pasien gastritis. Metode yang digunakan dalam karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah literature riview dengan mencari jurnal dengan judul pengaruh teknik relaksasi otot progresif untuk menurunkan nyeri pada pasien gastritis. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah dilakukan tindakan relaksasi otot progresif adalah berkurang atau hilang rasa nyeri pada pasien gastritis. Kesimpulan karya tulis ilmiah ini adalah teknik relaksasi otot progresif dapat menurunkan nyeri pada pada pasien gastritis. Saran bagi perawat diharapkan dapat menerapkan terapi komplementer terhadap pasien gastritis yang mengalami nyeri dengan teknik relaksasi otot progresif. Breast cancer patients need to get palliative care to improve their quality of life. Family existence becomes an important role for breast cancer sufferers to fulfill physical and psychological health. Palliative care can be given to patients in the form of complementary and pharmacological therapy (FARKOM). FARKOM's community service program aims to improve family knowledge and abilities in the care of family members with breast cancer and support for taking medication control. The target of this community service activity is to involve five families with breast cancer members in the Bandarharjo Village. The methods of this activity include lectures on the Farkom program (Pharmacology and complementary therapy), demonstrations of progressive muscle relaxation techniques and how to make beetroot juice, simulations by grouping participants according to family members and practicing, then monitoring and evaluating related to the Farkom program. Based on the pre-test and post-test results after being given treatment, there was an increase in the percentage value, namely a 25% increase in progressive muscle relaxation exercises, herbal juice production increased 30% and monitor filling schedule for taking medication increased 30%. Thus, this mentoring activity can be said to be successful because it can increase the knowledge and ability of participants in participating in community service activities.

Shooting skills are complex. Athletes often have to face a situation requiring one shot to get a perfect score and maintain concentration and the trigger pull. This study aimed to analyze the difference in progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) exercise on increasing concentration and performance scores of 10-meter shooting. A total of 12 athletes (seven female dan five males) in Purwakarta were recruited for this study. They were randomly assigned to the PMR group (n = 6) and the control group (n = 6). The instruments used were the Concentration Grid Test for measuring concentration and the scores of 60 shots of the 10-meter shooting of both men and women for a performance test. Data analysis using MANCOVA was performed using shooting and concentration scores as the dependent variables and covariates to determine their performance. They can be differentiated based on conventional training methods, progressive muscle relaxation, and the interaction of these factors. The results of the MANCOVA indicated a significant main effect for exercise methods. It was revealed that differences in exercise methods had a significant effect on concentration and shooting scores. When athletes face the demands of top performance, PMR training is an economical but efficient and effective strategy for dealing with the problems. It helps athletes to do the self-control and focus their attention during stressful situations. It also can be used to maintain physical, technical, and mental balances.

BACKGROUND The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is associated with significant fear and extreme anxiety in patients; this can lead to strong emotional state that can negatively impact their mental health and immune system. While the nature and effect of COVID-19 on mental health status yet to be determined , existing literatures offer some clues to understand what to expect in dealing with COVID-19 anxiety. OBJECTIVE The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of anxiety and coping with anxiety in COVID-19 patients METHODS This is a narrative review of existing literature relevant to COVID-19 pandemic via pubmed, emebase and google scholar database on anxiety in patients with COVID- 19 and represented in a search flow. Articles search with use of key words in various permutations and combinations RESULTS Total number of 73 articles were identified, following deduplication and exclusion of non-relevant studies two major articles, observational and randomized controlled trials were identified with broad themes of specifically on effect of anxiety on COVID-19 patients. These two publications were written in English and from Chinese centres. CONCLUSIONS Current evidence revealed that increased social capital will improved sleep quality by reducing anxiety and stress of patients in self-isolation, also progressive muscle relaxation has a positive effect on improving sleep quality and reducing anxiety in patients with COVID-19. These findings have some serious clinical and public health implications hence this is a call for further research

Objective: to synthesize the knowledge and to critically evaluate the evidences arising from randomized controlled trials on the efficacy of the complementary therapies in the management of cancer pain in adult patients with cancer in palliative care. Method: a systematic review guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. The search for articles in the MEDLINE, ISI Web of Knowledge, CENTRAL Cochrane, and PsycINFO databases, as well as the manual search, selection of studies, data extraction, and methodological assessment using the Cochrane Bias Risk tool were performed independently by two reviewers. Results: eight hundred and fifteen (815) studies were identified, six of them being selected and analyzed, of which three used massage therapy, one study used a combination of progressive muscle relaxation and guided imaging, and another two studies used acupuncture. Most of the studies had an uncertain risk of bias (n=4; 67%). Conclusion: while the evidence from the studies evaluating the use of massage therapy or the use of progressive muscle relaxation and guided imaging for the management of cancer pain in these patients demonstrated significant benefits, the other two studies that evaluated the use of acupuncture as a complementary therapy showed contradictory results, therefore, needing more research studies to elucidate such findings.

This article presents the argument that mindfulness-based meditation (MM) techniques are beneficial and share many of the same outcomes as similar mind-centered practices such as transcendental meditation, prayer, imagery, and visualization and body-centered practices such as progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), autogenic training (AT), and yoga. For example, many standardized mind-body techniques such as mindfulness-based stress reduction and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (a) are associated with a reduction in symptoms of anxiety and depression, (b) can be mastered in relatively brief time frames, and (c) are relatively cost-effective. Functional magnetic resonance imaging studies suggest that MM, along with other mind-body techniques, can influence brain centers that regulate stress reactions (e.g., eliciting increased activity in cerebral areas related to attention and emotion regulation). Furthermore, MM and other mind-body techniques may provide benefit by mediating breathing processes that in turn regulate gamma aminobutyric acid, a major inhibitory neurotransmitter, which can quiet the overactivation of the sympathetic nervous system. This article compares the efficacy of mindfulness-based techniques to that of other self-regulation techniques and identifies components shared between mindfulness-based techniques and several previous self-regulation techniques, including PMR, AT, and transcendental meditation. The authors conclude that most of the commonly used self-regulation strategies have comparable efficacy and share many elements. The authors propose that additional research is needed to explore shared mechanisms among the self-regulation techniques and to identify any factors that might favor using one technique over another.

Background: Hypertension is a condition of an increase in blood pressure from the normal range of 120/80 mmHg. If there is no action is taken to reduce blood pressure, it can lead to serious complications. Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation can be used as an action in reducing high blood pressure. Aims of this study is to analize effect of Jacobson’s progressive muscle relaxation to decrease blood pressure. Methods: This research used a quasi-experimental method and a sample of 16 respondents. JPMR Therapy is carried out for three weeks with three times each week. The action is carried out for 30 minutes. Blood pressure measured by spyghnomanometer before and after intervention. Results: the result of this intervention showed a P-Value is 0,0001, which means blood pressure decreases after intervention. Conclusions: This intervention is proven to be a complementary therapy for hypertension suffers. For this intervention to have the maximum results for blood pressure reduction, patients must routinely intervene every day along with the ingestion of the drug. The need for more research is how long normal blood pressure persists with JPMR.
