Many parents have the mentality that they want their children to study well and outperform their peers, therfore, they have a lot of expectations and investments in their children from an early age. The children have a busy childhood with a tight schedule of extra classes, from giftedness to English, etc. Parents are free to show off to friends and relatives that they know a lot and are wise before their age. This matter has become not only an argumentation between parents but also an unsolvable problem for the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam. Therefore, it is a serious issue to determine how much preparation is enough for children to start elementary schools. Two main opinions have been given out: the first opinion points out that children need to study before starting elementary schools while the second opinion is contrary to the first one. The paper is done by searching, collecting and summarizing the information on magazines, newspapers and the internet which is related to the topic and analyzing the statistics collected from students currently studying at some schools in two weeks.

The article describes the results of the development and testing of an algorithm for designing interactive activities for primary school. The algorithm is developed taking into account the characteristics of modern primary school students, examining different interpretations of the concept «interactive» in different spheres of human life and fields of study (such as linguistics, sociology, psychology, pedagogy) and considering the problem of using the term «interactive» in the modern education system. The algorithm for designing interactive activities includes six sequential steps: to select the content; to choose a type of group for the activity; to create the activity in which each student will personally participate; to think over different options to provide choice for students; to select the technical means; to set a time limit. Each action of the algorithm is depicted from the perspective of a primary school teacher. The survey of the teachers found significant changes in teachers’ perceptions of the term «interactive», in their understanding of distinctive features of the interactive activities and difficulties to create suitable interactive activities. It is noted the importance of continuing research in the aspect of the influence of interactive activities on the educational achievements of primary school students (including the development of functional literacy). The article was prepared with the financial support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation within the framework of the research project «The development of functional literacy among primary school students in the implementation of educational programs».

Under the current situation of epidemic prevention and control, to ensure the continuous progress of student learning, Chinese Ministry of Education put forward the initiative of "suspension of classes without suspension of school". Primary and secondary schools have adopted online learning at home for students to "open schools in the cloud. There is a big difference between online learning and classroom learning. In this process, problems such as increased teaching burden of teachers, lack of interaction between teachers and students, and students' lack of active learning are also exposed. Video learning are a new type of teaching resource. It can improve the efficiency of primary school mathematics teaching by using video learning reasonably. Based on the above analysis, the purpose of this research is to investigate the development of primary school students' logical reasoning ability through the use of video leanings for auxiliary teaching. The research method adopts the experimental method and is divided into the experimental class and control class. The subjects of the study were 72 students from a primary school in Indonesia. Experimental results show that video learning for auxiliary teaching can effectively develop students' logical reasoning ability.

The aim of this study was to examine parents' perceptions of the online benefits and dangers that their children encounter. Ninety-six parents participated in the study (82.3% mothers and 17.7% fathers). Participants, parents of children attending primary school, filled out a questionnaire consisting of sociodemographic questions and a scale of attitudes about the benefits and dangers of electronic media (computers, the Internet and mobile phones). The results of the research showed that the frequency of the Internet use is related to the parents’ perception of the benefits and dangers of the Internet. It was found that the more often parents use the internet, the less danger they perceive, and more benefits, and vice versa, the less often they use the Internet, they perceive more dangers and fewer benefits. At the same time, the results showed that the level of parental education is not significantly related to their perception of the benefits or dangers that their children encounter on the Internet. By increasing awareness of this issue and examining the actual state, teachers can specifically educate children and also parents about the safe use of the Internet.

Due to the increasing children’s use of the Internet at home and at school as well as that inappropriate Internet content may jeopardize their health or safety, the aim of the present study is twofold: a) to examine parents’ perceptions of the degree to which children may be exposed to negative Internet content, and b) to find out the differences in parents' attitudes to the use of the Internet by students of 4th, 5th and 6th grade, as an acknowledgment of being an important part of their children's day-to-day educational and interpersonal life. 1503 questionnaires from urban and rural provinces of Crete demonstrate that parents’ technological efficacy is strongly related to their better evaluation of the Internet hazards and their effectiveness in promoting Internet safety awareness when navigating with their children at home. Key words: Internet safety awareness, factors, parental control, primary school.

It cannot be denied that children nowadays are very familiar with Internet. They mostly use internet connection for playing games rather than supporting their school assignments. Most online games the children play are imported from abroad so that language used is mostly English. As a result, children frequently pick up many English words from the game naturally. The present study is the continuous study of the vocabulary learning strategy mapping among 28 primary school students on grade 5 using the VOLSQUES survey. From the survey, the researcher found that 29% respondents chose internet as the source of their English vocabulary input. Started from this finding, the researcher continue the study by conducting descriptive qualitative research on those 29% respondents. The focus is on recognizing the Internet content commonly the respondents use and type of English vocabulary input they gain. All the respondents admit that they frequently play online games, especially the Mobile Legend game. The interesting result is that the participants are mostly unable to read and write the English words they recognize from the game correctly. This is understandable since the children listen from the game narrators. Besides, the typical English words they acquire are instructions.
