This study aims to determine the effect of deferred tax expense, deferred tax assets, and accruals on earnings management. The population in this study are various industrial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2020 period. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data processing program using SPSS Version 25.By using 5 companies using purposive sampling. The data used in this study is secondary data, namely data on the financial statements of various industrial sector companies listedon the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2015-2020 period. The sample selection method used purposive sampling, namely the sampling method based on certain criteria. Of the 45 various industrialcompanies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, there are only 5 companies that meet the research sample criteria that have been determined. The data analysis method used inthis research is multiple linear regression test, coefficient of determination (R^2) and correlation (R), partial test (t-test) and Simultaneous test (F-test) while earnings management is measured based on dummy variables. The results of this study indicate that deferred tax expense affects earnings management, deferred tax assets affect earnings management and accruals have no effect on earnings management.Based on the simultaneous test (F test) variable deferred tax expense, deferred tax assets andaccruals together have no effect on earnings management in various industrial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2020.

This article explains the effect of lowering income tax rates during the COVID-19 pandemic. The government's role in maintaining economic stability is carried out by issuing fiscal policies, in terms of taxation, namely by reducing the Corporate Income Tax rate. This research intends to find out the results of a decrease in corporate income tax rates affecting a decrease in current taxes deposited into the state treasury, a decrease in the total income tax burden, and recording in the income statement financial statements. The informants of this research are members of the Tax Rules Update Forum. This type of qualitative research uses a netnography approach. The reduction in current taxes deposited into the state treasury benefits the company by minimizing the costs incurred for the obligation to deposit state taxes. Companies that have deferred tax liabilities receive deferred tax benefits recorded in the balance sheet account, so the total income tax expense has decreased. In recording the income statement, the company has deferred tax assets adding to the deferred tax expense. Deferred tax expense in profit or loss account.

Tax expense is the aggregate amount of current tax expense and deferred tax expense which is calculated on accounting profit recognized in one period. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of revenue and expenses on the tax expense with Earnings Before Income and Tax (EBIT) as an intervening in consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. The population of the study was 54 consumer goods companies with purposive sampling method obtained a total sample of 24 companies and 120 observations. Methods Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis by testing the classical assumptions first. The results of the study show that EBIT is able to mediate the effect of  Rvenue  on Tax  Expense on Consumer Goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 Period but EBIT is not able to mediate the Effect of Expenses on Tax Expense  on Consumer Goods Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 Period

Disclosure of financial statement information for companies in Indonesia is very important, especially for stakeholders who do not have access to company information, especially in profit management, so that stakeholders are able to make the right decisions. Profit management is a managerial activity for management in influencing and interfering with financial statements. Public companies have benefited greatly because the effective tax rate of the company will become smaller so that the company is able to manage profits. Effective tax planning methods through tax incentives and non-tax incentives can help and provide convenience for companies in their profit management. Researchers want to find out how incentive taxes and non-incentive taxes affect profit management. The first results of the study showed that two variables of projected tax incentives with tax planning and deferred tax expense, as well as one variable non-incentive tax projected through leverage, had no effect on profit management. The second results of these studies showed that two other tax incentive variables were projected with the current tax expense and the number of shares paid, and the projection of one non-incentive variable of tax through variable capital intensity ratio had an effect on profit management. Researchers found difficulties when analyzing profit management since not all companies have positive test results against profit management values; there was a company with negative profit management values. The differences between this study to other researchers were the object and variable of research.

The goal of this research was to see how Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, and Deferred Tax Expense affected Earnings Management. In this study, 811 non-financial businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019 were used as a sample. The independent factors in this study were Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, and Deferred Tax Expense, while the dependent variable was Earnings Management. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data in this study. This study's findings suggest that institutional and managerial ownership have an impact on earnings management. The Variable for Deferred Tax Expenses has no effect.

Abstract The purpose of this research is to determine and provide empirical evidence regarding the effect of tax planning, deferred tax expense and dividend policy on earnings management in consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. The number of samples in this study were 12 companies obtained by using purposive sampling method based on predetermined criteria. The data used is secondary data in the form of an annual report for the period 2015 – 2019 taken from the www.idx.coid website. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical technique, panel data regression model, panel data regression model estimation, classical assumption test, coefficient of determination, f test (as a simultaneous test) and t test (as a partial test). The results of this study indicate that in a partial test, tax planning has no effect on earnings management, deferred tax expense affects earnings management and dividend policy has no effect on earnings management. While the results of the study simultaneously variable tax planning, deferred tax expense and dividend policy simultaneously affect earnings management.   Keywords:Tax Planning, Defered Tax Expense, Dividen Policy, Earnings Management

This research uses quantitative research methods. The data source obtained is secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). The data will be analyzed using the classical assumption test method, the goodnes of fit model test and multiple linear regression. The independent variables in this study are dependent tax expense, profitability and leverage. The dependent variable in this study is earnings management.Based on the data analysis conducted, it is concluded that deferred tax expense and profitability have no effect on earnings management. This means that earnings management cannot be measured by the variable deferred tax expense and profitability. However, the leverage variable has an effect on earnings management. This means that the leverage of a company can be used as a guide in determining earnings management
