Killing Tensor Fields of Third Rank on a Two-Dimensional Riemannian Torus

A rank m symmetric tensor field on a Riemannian manifold is called a Killing field if the symmetric part of its covariant derivative is equal to zero. Such a field determines the first integral of the geodesic flow which is a degree m homogeneous polynomial in velocities. There exist global isothermal coordinates on a two-dimensional Riemannian torus such that the metric is of the form ds^2= λ(z)|dz|^2 in the coordinates. The torus admits a third rank Killing tensor field if and only if the function λ satisfies the equation R(∂/∂z（λ(c∆^-1λ_zz+a))= 0 with some complex constants a and c≠0. The latter equation is equivalent to some system of quadratic equations relating Fourier coefficients of the function λ. If the functions λ and λ + λ_0 satisfy the equation for a real constant λ0, 0, then there exists a non-zero Killing vector field on the torus.

Double Sided Perspective of Business Resilience: The Rationality and Irrationality of SME Experience

COVID-19 has created a killing field for SME as one of national economics pillars. Business resilience becomes crucial issue. It has stimulated the owner and/or managers of SME to do many things for saving the SME from its bankruptcy rationally and/or irrationally. This study aimed to elaborate business resilience and to test the impact of rational and irrational factors on business resilience. The rational factors consist of: (1) implementation of health protocol in doing business, (2) developing business flexibility, and (4) improving alliance capability. The rational factors consist of (4) enhancing pro-social leadership a (5) conducting workplace spirituality. This study is cross-sectional survey with causal approach for testing five hypothesizes. Convenience method was used as sampling method. This study involved 506 small medium enterprises in Jawa and Sumatera, the two biggest islands in Indonesia. Collected data were structured with PLS based Structural Equation Modelling. Proposed research model was described into second order construct and tested by validity and reliability analysis, measurement model analysis and structural model analysis. The Geometry of a Randers Rotational Surface with an Arbitrary Direction Wind

In the present paper, we study the global behaviour of geodesics of a Randers metric, defined on Finsler surfaces of revolution, obtained as the solution of the Zermelo’s navigation problem. Our wind is not necessarily a Killing field. We apply our findings to the case of the topological cylinder R×S1 and describe in detail the geodesics behaviour, the conjugate and cut loci.

KESADARAN HUKUM BERLALU LINTAS KAITANNYA DENGAN PENEGAKAN HUKUM

Ketertiban lalu lintas di jalan raya merupakan sesuatu hal yang sama – sama kita dambakan, karena akhir – akhir ini lalu lintas di jalan raya kenyataanya merupakan “the killing field”. Masalah lalu lintas semakin serius dan terus meningkat, hal ini dikarenakan kemajuan peradaban manusia serta kemajuan tehnologi yang demikian pesatnya. Kemajuan ini akan mendorong terbentuknya kota – kota besar, kota – kota metropolis dan mega polis yang tentu saja oleh suasana lalu lintas yang semakin rumit. Keadaan ini timbul bisa karena bermacam-macam alasan antara lain, bertambahnya jumlah kendaraan bermotor termasuk kondisi kendaraanya, kondisi jalan yang kurang memenuhi syarat misalnya jalan rusak atau kurang lebar, penerapan peraturan yang kurang menggigit kepada para pengguna jalan raya atau masyarakat, kurangnya kesadaran para pengemudi mematuhi peraturan lalu lintas dan rendahnya etika dalam berlalu lintas di jalan raya. Ada beberapa factor yang mempengaruhi kesadaran hukum berlalu lintas. Diantara factor itu factor manusialah yang paling menonjol sebagai penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan. Untuk mengurangi hal itu perlu peningkatan kesadaran hukum beralalu lintas, baik sebagai pengemudi maupun sebagai pejalan kaki. Disamping kesadaran hukum, penegakkan hukum juga sangat diperlukan untuk mewujudkan adanya tertib berlalu lintas di jalan raya.

UJI EFIKASI FORMULASI RODENTISIDA CAIR DENGAN BAHAN AKTIF PERMENTRIN DAN MALATHION PADA TIKUS SAWAH, TIKUS RUMAH DAN TIKUS POHON DALAM MENCEGAH PENYAKIT LEPTOSPIROSIS

Mice are the main reservoir in transmitting leptospirosis, which is an infectious zoonotic disease caused by pathogenic leptospira bacteria, so it needs to be controlled effectively. Mice control has been using traps or rodenticides. One of the pesticides available is permethrin and malathion, which has been used as an insecticide. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of insecticide formulas as rodenticides in killing field mice, house mice, and tree mice. In the research of liquid rodenticide formula, the concentration is 0.025; 0.050 and 0.075% of the active ingredients were tested for efficacy against mice. Data analysis in the form of descriptive. The results showed that the absence of mice that died from these three types of mice, which showed a dose of 0.075%, was too small for mice so that they only experienced seizures. So that further testing is needed to make the killing power more effective on mice.

Gravitational thermodynamics of causal diamonds in (A)dS

The static patch of de Sitter spacetime and the Rindler wedge of Minkowski spacetime are causal diamonds admitting a true Killing field, and they behave as thermodynamic equilibrium states under gravitational perturbations. We explore the extension of this gravitational thermodynamics to all causal diamonds in maximally symmetric spacetimes. Although such diamonds generally admit only a conformal Killing vector, that seems in all respects to be sufficient. We establish a Smarr formula for such diamonds and a ``first law" for variations to nearby solutions. The latter relates the variations of the bounding area, spatial volume of the maximal slice, cosmological constant, and matter Hamiltonian. The total Hamiltonian is the generator of evolution along the conformal Killing vector that preserves the diamond. To interpret the first law as a thermodynamic relation, it appears necessary to attribute a negative temperature to the diamond, as has been previously suggested for the special case of the static patch of de Sitter spacetime. With quantum corrections included, for small diamonds we recover the ``entanglement equilibrium'' result that the generalized entropy is stationary at the maximally symmetric vacuum at fixed volume, and we reformulate this as the stationarity of free conformal energy with the volume not fixed.

REKONTEKSTUALISASI PEMAKNAAN JIHÂD DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUKUM ISLÂM

Resonansi istilah maupun seruan jihâd sungguh terasa lebih “menggetarkan” nurani kaum Muslim, terlebih bagi pemeluk agama lain, daripada penggunaan kosakata lainnya yang bermakna serupa. Apalagi, jika istilah atau seruan itu diiringi dengan pekik-suara Allâhu Akbar!!! tiga kali, seolah-olah genderang perang-suci agama baru saja ditabuh dan pasukan mulai dikomando menuju the killing field. Tidak jarang, teriakan keras Allâhu Akbar pun diserupakan dengan kesiapan ber-jihâd, dalam arti berperang secara fisik melawan orang-orang yang “mempertontonkan” perilaku munkar, batil, kâfir, dan dhalim dalam segala bentuk, level, maupun konteksnya sesuai dengan klaim-persepsif kebenaran sepihak pada golongan tertentu. Dalam realitasnya, para pelaku aksi-aksi kekerasan seringkali menggunakan istilah jihâd sebagai dasar-pembenar atas tindakan yang beraneka motif. Persoalannya, apakah jihâd itu “berwajah” tunggal? Berlaku untuk semua konteks? Identik dengan kekerasan atau peperangan? Atau masih adakah ruang tersisa untuk memaknakannya kembali menurut ragam konteksnya sebagai perspektif baru yang mencerahkan dan membebaskan umat dari belenggu yang bernuansa kengerian
