Fyodor M. Dostoyevsky (1821-1881) was a famous Russian writer born 200 years ago, important for the psychological depth and dramatic structure of his novels. Epilepsy was important in his life and creative process. Moritz H. Romberg (1795-1873) and Armand Trousseau (1801-1867) were two well-known physicians at the time who dedicated themselves to neurology. Its notoriety extended beyond the medical-scientific area, as exemplified by Dostoievski's letter. Although the occurrence of the meeting was controversial,3,4 its intention denotes their prestige. During the last years, there has been a notable increase in the number of studies focused on the assessment of brain dynamics for the recognition of emotional states by means of nonlinear methodologies. More precisely, different entropy metrics have been applied for the analysis of electroencephalographic recordings for the detection of emotions. In this sense, regularity-based entropy metrics, symbolic predictability-based entropy indices, and different multiscale and multilag variants of the aforementioned methods have been successfully tested in a series of studies for emotion recognition from the EEG recording. This chapter aims to unify all those contributions to this scientific area, summarizing the main discoverings recently achieved in this research field.

Background: The Nobel Prize of Physiology or Medicine (NPPM) has recognized the work of 222 scientists from different nationalities, from 1901 until 2020. From the total, 186 award researchers used animal models in their projects, and 21 were attributed to scientists and projects directly related to Pharmacology. In the most recent years, genetics is a dominant scientific area, while at the beginning of the 20th century, most of the studies were more related to anatomy, cytology, and physiology. Summary: Mammalian models were used in 144 NPPM projects, being rodents the most used group of species. Moreover, 92 researchers included domestic species in their work. The criteria used to choose the species, the number of animals used and the experimental protocol is always debatable and dependent on the scientific area of the study; however, the 3R’s principle can be applied to most scientific fields. Independently of the species, the animal model can be classified in different types and criteria, depending on their ecology, genetics, and mode of action. Key-Messages: The use of animal models in NPPM awarded projects, namely in Pharmacology, illustrates their importance, need and benefit to improve scientific knowledge and create solutions. In the future, with the contribute of technology, it might be possible to refine the use of animal models in pharmacology studies.

The article reviews the problem of Ukrainian dialectic textography. This scientific area has been recently enriched with new works. This article focuses on dialectic text. Text is one of the important tools to represent dialect materials. For example, small text fragments show how can a lexeme behave in a speech-space. One of the dialects of the central region of Ukraine was chosen for the analysis, as this dialect specifically is one of the ancestors of the modern Ukrainian literary language. The subject of the presented fragments is associated with popular geographical terminology. This vocabulary is closely related to primordial history and culture. This thematic group is archaic. It has not yet become the object of a separate study, which would represent the whole variety of dialects from the entire territory of Ukraine. Up until today, there are only a few regional works.

In 1981, George Brooks provided a review of the academic discipline of physical education and its emerging subdisciplines. Forty years later, the authors review how the field has changed from the perspective of one subdiscipline, motor development. Brooks’s text sets the scene with four chapters on motor development from leaders in the field, including G. Lawrence Rarick, to whom the book is dedicated. From this beginning, the paper describes the evolving scientific perspectives that have emerged since 1981. Clearly, from its past to the present, motor development as a scientific field has itself developed into a robust and important scientific area of study. The paper ends with a discussion of the grand challenges for kinesiology and motor development in the next 40 years.

Subject ontologies are the basis of every information system that describes scientific knowledge. A particular simplified case of a subject ontology is the indexes of classification systems, such as international UDC, ICI, Russian State Rubricator for Scientific and Technical Information (SRSTI) and Library Bibliografic Classification (LBC). A more developed example of a subject ontology is thematic thesauri containing terms related to a certain field of science or technology, with their hierarchical and horizontal connections. When considering the architecture of the Common Digital Space of Scientific Knowledge (CDSSK), a subject ontology is understood as a generalized structure that includes both thesaurus elements and associated indexes of various classification systems that describe this scientific area. This article presents the results of research related to the construction of subject ontologies based on the previously developed system for supporting terminological dictionaries and proposes a methodology for identifying new key terms for its replenishment. The methodology is based on the use of existing citation databases (CDB), such as WEB of Science and Scopus for English-language publications and the Russian Citation Index for Russian-language publications. The methodology presupposes the division of the scientific area into a number of sections, the selection from the CDB of the core of articles related to each section, and from the articles - the author's key terms, which, in conjunction with the corresponding sections of the classification systems, should form the basis of the subject ontology of this scientific area.

The regionimics of the Caucasus considered in the article is not only an educational and methodological, but also a scientific area of tabula rasa. Linguistic regionology is still only asserting itself as an object of study, although the linguocultural status of the name list of the landscape of the "edge of the blue mountains", praised by Lermontov, has long and rightfully won worldwide fame.
