Some algorithms, which are often based on the use of elements of higher mathematics, possessing high speed and compact coding in algorithmic languages, are poorly mastered by most students. It can be assumed that this is due to the difficulty of presenting the principles of their work in the form of human actions in ordinary situations. Thus, a certain contradiction arises between the way of solving the problem that a person resorts to without using a computer and the way we force our computer to solve this problem. Comparison of the process of explaining algorithms speaks in favor of algorithms imitating human thinking. The discussion of the advantages of the algorithms themselves is beyond the scope of this article and undoubtedly deserves a separate study. If artificial intelligence is created, then its creator or creators will certainly be ranked among the outstanding geniuses in the history of civilization, no matter what algorithms it uses. However, so far there is no one to solve problems for us and create algorithms, so we will use all available means and try to teach this to children.

This paper provides a historical snapshot of personal ICT usage in 2005/2006, specifically shedding light on how Australian and German couples (N= 48) had integrated the internet into their homes with a focus on spatial and social transformations. Using a home ethnographic approach, this qualitative study implemented in-depth interviews across two countries. From a spatial perspective, Australian couples had their laptops or PCs highly integrated into the family life usually in multifunctional rooms or open areas, whereas German couples’ laptops and PCs were most often found in separate study rooms. From a social perspective, internet use can be related to elements that bring couples together, but also to elements of disintegration. A shift in how couples spent their time together was observed from watching TV together in the same room, to going online in the same room at two PCs or one person being online while the other conducted other activities.

The end of World War I brought the issue of the borders of the reborn Poland on the agenda. Their shaping was a long and dramatic process. Among the numerous disputes and conflicts, the Polish-Russian war occupies a special place. Its effect was the defense of the reborn state and the establishment of the eastern border of Poland. The war began in February 1919. However, it ended with the signing of the preliminary treaty on October 12, 1920, and the peace treaty on March 18, 1921 in Riga. The peace treaty eliminated the state of war and established the border line between Poland and Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. Its precise delimitation in the field and placing border marks on it was carried out by a special mixed border commission consisting of two delegations - Polish and Russian-Ukrainian-Belarusian. The content of this article is an attempt to look at one of the most important events in the modern history of Poland from the perspective of 100 years, which was the establishment and guidelines of the eastern border of Poland by a mixed border commission. The aim of the paper is to present the work of the committees which took place in an atmosphere of constant dispute and conflicts between representatives of the delegations of both countries. Both parties repeatedly threatened to terminate or suspend the works. Due to the volume framework, it is not possible to fully characterize the archival sources and the published publications. It could be a topic of a separate study. I hope that the bibliography attached to the article will help to provide a thorough and comprehensive presentation of the topic.

The present paper is devoted to the study of the possibility of estimating the reproductive potentials of wild ungulate populations, and possibly other large mammals, by the time series of their numbers. We have found out that this is possible, which is confirmed by the high quality of approximation of the time series of abundance by logistic curves, and the corresponding coefficients of their determination for different species ranged from 75 to 96%. For such calculations, one circumstance is necessary, which is that the population of the studied species has been briefly exposed to some unfavorable factor causing a significant reduction in its numbers with subsequent restoration to the previous level, or the time series should contain a well-expressed and extended section of the transition of the population from some lower level to the upper level of the population, passing into a stationary state. The values of the maximum exponential growth rates of ungulate populations that we obtained do not fundamentally differ from the data available in other researchers’ works. In addition, it should be borne in mind that our method for assessing the reproductive potentials of ungulates is statistical, with features accompanying all such methods, for example, in the presence of statistical errors in all determined parameters. However, the evaluation of the magnitude of these errors is a topic for a separate study.

Chapter 1 traces the millennial length of a theoretical discourse about affectio that begins with Cicero’s De inventione before turning to a tradition of stylistic teaching that arose in parallel with that speculative rhetorical thought and that was to have much more profound consequences for medieval rhetorical practice. Cicero’s De inventione was the main Latin rhetorical treatise, along with Rhetorica ad Herennium, that the Middle Ages inherited from antiquity. Cicero treats emotion (affectio) as a topic of invention, and understands it in philosophical terms as a perturbation of the soul. That philosophical approach was elaborated in medieval commentaries. The chapter then turns to late antique handbooks of style. Style came to constitute a separate study; through these influences, style also became the main conduit for teaching emotion and rhetorical persuasion.

Background: The expression and clinical significance of IL-20 in coronary artery diseases need to be analyzed. Methods: IL-20 and its receptors were analyzed in coronary artery tissues. In a separate study, plasma IL-20 was also evaluated. Results: IL-20 and its receptors were significantly higher in coronary artery stenosis tissues from ischemic cardiomyopathy patients than that from controls. T lymphocytes and macrophages were the main source of IL-20 and expressed its receptors abundantly. Plasma IL-20 was significantly higher in acute myocardial infarction patients than that in controls. Conclusion: IL-20 was closely associated with the presence of acute myocardial infarction. IL-20 may participate in the progression of coronary artery stenosis and plaque vulnerability via regulating T lymphocytes and macrophages.

This study discusses the concepts of Khizra, the forty chiltanas in the epic poem "Manas". The great epic poem of the Kyrgyz people "Manas" contains symbols of many epochs and concepts of Islam that require a separate study. Many words have appeared due to the spread of Islam among the Kyrgyz. In ancient works, there are frequent mentions of words that are incomprehensible to most people such as archaisms and neologisms. In the epic poem, there are episodes where Manas met Khizra, the forty chiltanas, and they told the hero about Islam and told him to follow the path of God. They also help the hero Manas in any difficult situation. This is found in almost all versions of the epic poem "Manas". This study used several research methods including analysis. The concepts of these words were analyzed based on the variants of S. Orozbakov and S. Karalaev. The study also analyses the motives in the epic poem "Manas" in the plot composition of various versions of this legend and the themes revolving around the miraculous birth of the hero and heroic amusements.

The text discusses the wordsmi(e)zyniec, mizynek ‘little finger’, ‘youngest child, calf, piglet, chicken’. A few decades ago, K. Nitsch dedicated a separate study to this subject, published in the Język Polski journal. Our text, contingent on the methodologies of linguistic geography, presents the history and geography of these words in Polish within the broader Slavic context. It follows from the findings that the individual forms from the *měz- stem are to be differently viewed. Some forms may certainly be seen as relics of the early Slavic unity and cannot be treated as lexical borrowings. Besides, some forms, especially the *mězinъkъ deriva-tive which has no equivalent of the mie- form in the Polish language, can be seen as a Ukrainian loan word.

In the history of the holy Mount Athos, there were not so many bright historical events, one of them was the dispute about the Name of God and the Name of Jesus. Having arisen among the Russian monks of Mount Athos in 1912 – 1913, the dispute did not attract the active participation of representatives of other nationalities. One of the features of this phenomenon was that from the very beginning it received a categorically negative definition from the Patriarchate of Constantinople. This definition has not undergone a significant revision among foreign ecclesiastical and secular historians and publicists over the past hundred years. At the same time, in Russia, the topic of the history and essence of imyaslaviya since its appearance and still continues to be debatable. The author of this publication separately examines the position that prevailed among the Greek monks and clergy on Mount Athos in relation to the Imyaslav dispute. It is also noteworthy that both sides (both opponents and supporters of imyaslavy), arguing their polar opposite points of view from the very beginning of the Imyaslavsky discourse, appeal to the same sources – the Holy Scripture and the works of the Holy Fathers of the Church, especially to the theological heritage of Gregory of Nyssa, Basil the Great, Dionysius the Areopagite, Gregory Palamas. However, certain statements are sometimes quoted tendentiously selectively outside the entire context of the source. This is especially true for authors whose works criticize and refute the Imyaslav teaching. Without setting a task to consecrate all aspects of this topic, which in itself is worthy of a separate study, the author of the publication tries to show the general history of the discussion, as well as how objective were the assessments about the Imyaslav teaching itself, expressed from the very beginning of its appearance, and how these assessments influenced the further course of the Imyaslav process as a whole.
