The choice of materials for the formulation of the metal cladding additive has been theoretically substantiated. A process has been developed and a copper-containing lubricant composition has been synthesized. It is shown that the use of a metal cladding additive having antifriction and antiwear properties reduces 2.9 times the part wear rate. The effect of the additive on the anticorrosion properties and thermal-oxidative stability of the base oil has been studied.

The effect of nanofilles additives containing copper oxide nanoparticles stabilized by a polymer matrix of high-pressure polyethylene obtained by the mechanochemical method on features of the structure and properties of metal-containing nanocomposites based on isotactic polypropylene and high-pressure polyethylene was studied using differential thermal (DTA) and X-ray phase (XRD) analyzes. The improvement of strength, deformation and rheological parameters, as well as thermal-oxidative stability of the obtained nanocomposites was revealed, that apparently, is associated with the synergistic effect of interfacial interaction of copper-containing nanoparticles in the PE matrix with the components of the PP/PE polymer composition

Представлены экспериментальные данные показателей термоокислительной стабильности включающие: оптическую плотность, испаряемость, коэффициент термоокислительной стабильности, потенциальный ресурс, температуры начала процессов окисления, испарения и температурных преобразований, протекающие в смазочном масле и критические температуры этих процессов. Представлена графическая модель прогнозирования показателей термоокислительной стабильности для широкого диапазона температур на основании результатов испытания, полученных при трех температурах. Experimental data on the indicators of thermal-oxidative stability are presented, including: optical density, volatility, coefficient of thermal-oxidative stability, potential resource, temperatures of the onset of oxidation, evaporation and temperature transformations occurring in the lubricating oil and critical temperatures of these processes. A graphical model for predicting the indicators of thermal-oxidative stability for a wide range of temperatures based on the test results obtained at three temperatures is presented.

Complex esters of 2.5,5.5-tetrametylolcyclopethane with heptanedioic and hexanoic acids, as well as methyl and 2-ethylhexyl alcohols have been synthesized and studied. Few compositions have been obtained adding these esters to the industrial ones of 5-20 % diisooktyl sebacylic. It was defined that exploitation characteristics of these compositions are significantly higher than those of DOS: viscosity index, flash point, thermal oxidative stability and lubricating characteristics. Based on these parameters, it is recommended to use in the future these compositions in the preparation of aircraft oils of gas-turbine engines instead of DOS esters.

Diesel fuel mixtures with high concentrations of biodiesel have been investigated to analyze the technical feasibility of their use in diesel cycle engines regarding thermal and oxidative properties. The results of combined techniques of oxidative stability, high Pressurized Differential Scanning Calorimetry (P-DSC), Calculated Cetane Index (CCI), and calorific power were used to verify the effect of the thermal-oxidative stability as a function of the percentage of biodiesel in the mixtures. The obtained results evidenced that the thermal and oxidative stability decreased with the addition of biodiesel from 50 to 5% v/v. Low stability fuels require rapid use as the oxidation compounds degrade the product and impair vehicle performance, as well as lead to corrosion and clogging problems in various mechanical systems.

The improvement of strength, deformation and rheological parameters, as well as thermal-oxidative stability of the obtained nanocomposites was revealed, which, apparently, is associated with the synergistic effect of interfacial interaction of zink — containing nanoparticles in the PE matrix with the components of the PP/PE polymer composition. It is shown that nanocomposites based on PP/PE/NF can be processed both by pressing method and by injection molding and extrusion methods, which expands the scope of its application.

The article discusses methods for assessing the thermal bonding stability (TOC) of jet fuels. The importance of determining this indicator for the design and operation of modern and advanced aircraft was noted. It is indicated that the methods used for assessing TOC are indirect, which limits their accuracy and reliability. The article gives the author's expert assessment of the correlation of the method indicators with the operational properties of fuels. Promising areas for the development of methods for measuring the amount of deposits include modern optical research methods: spectroscopic reflectometry, laser ellipsometry, as well as direct measurement of micro-amounts of deposits on control elements.

The article provides an overview of high-temperature PCM developed at FSUE «VIAM». To create a new aerospace technology, it is necessary to expand the range and develop advanced modern structural PCM with high strength, reduced porosity and increased thermal-oxidative stability, combined with a high level of mechanical characteristics and their preservation in the widest temperature range. FSUE «VIAM» has many years of experience in the development of this class of PCM – the first work on the creation of PCM with an operating temperature of more than 250 °C was received in the 1970s and is currently ongoing.
