The microwave heating/healing technique is regarded as a green maintenance approach for asphalt pavements thanks to its promising environmental and economic benefits. However, the main concern about this technology is represented by the possible aging effect generated on bituminous binders. Currently, there is a significant lack of studies dealing with this topic. Based on these premises, the main purpose of this study is to appraise the feasibility of implementing microwave-based maintenance operations considering the associated aging effect. The assessment of fatigue life after cyclic microwave heating (MH) based on a linear amplitude sweep (LAS) test and the changes in the chemical groups detected through Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy document the aging phenomenon. The results indicate that the microwave aging degree on bituminous binder is nonlinear with MH cycles. The microwave radiation causes a distinct aging impact on binders during the first 10 cycles, then the values become constant. Furthermore, a feasibility analysis of MH technology is developed, encompassing four main multidisciplinary aspects: evaluation of microwave aging degree, working mechanism of MH equipment, safety assessment, and economic and ecological considerations. Despite the associated aging issue, the MH method is an efficient technology, considering its various advantages (i.e., rapidity of execution, uniform and non-pollutant treatment, and deep penetration). Meanwhile, the use of steel slag as a microwave absorber bolsters the sustainability of MH technology. This study provides a new perspective to evaluate the microwave heating technique in road engineering comprising the generated aging effect. Practice-oriented recommendations are also formulated regarding the safe implementation of MH technical operations.

Taking into account the circumstances of the sinking of the sea fishing vessels Onega (2020) and the Far East (2005), a generalized comparative analysis of the established regulatory requirements for such vessels, including the used fishing equipment, mechanisms and devices, was carried out. Eight national and international regulatory documents were studied, containing separate technical requirements for the design, construction, supervision of the construction of fishing vessels. It was found that such requirements are given in the most general form, without any detail. Requirements from different documents for the same parameter were compared in terms of completeness and level of security. The content of the Rules for labor protection during the extraction (catching), processing of aquatic biological resources and the production of certain types of products from aquatic biological resources, OST 15.217-79 “System of labor safety standards. Fishing fleet vessels. Fishing equipment. Safety Requirements ", Rules for the Classification and Construction of Sea-Going Ships of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, International Rules for the Safety of Fishing Vessels, Technical Recommendations for Ensuring Healthy and Safe Working Conditions and for Ensuring Heaving and Flooding on Fishing Vessels, Rules for the Classification and Construction of Small Fishing Vessels of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Rules for Technical Supervision over the Construction of Ships and Manufacture of Materials and Products for Ships. The necessity of including the whole complex of fishing equipment, mechanisms, re-equipment of sea fishing vessels under the technical control of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping has been substantiated.

Myocardial infarction (MI) is the leading cause of death and disability in the population. Effective restoration of coronary blood flow in the infarction-dependent artery during percutaneous coronary intervention contributes to the regression of structural and functional remodeling of the left ventricle. Meanwhile, in 18% of cases, patients with myocardial infarction require implantation of a pacemaker because of the cardiac conduction disorders, among which atrioventricular blockade is the leading one. The need for pacemaker implantation is determined by the clinical features and the type of bradycardia complicating myocardial infarction. The scope of preventive measures at the stage of outpatient specialized cardiac care for patients with myocardial infarction and pacemaker includes medical, physical, and psychological rehabilitation. In addition, the presence of an implantable pacemaker necessitates specialized dynamic monitoring by an arrhythmologist, including programming the pacemaker. Performing a magnetic test allows to assess the efficiency of the pacemaker, the level of its charge and promptly determine the need to its replacement. Determination of the pacing threshold ensures efficient operation of the implantable device. After discharge from the hospital, a schedule for checking the pacemaker is determined, namely, 3 months after the date of implantation of the pacemaker, then 1-2 times a year. In the event of complaints of dizziness, fainting or damage of the pacemaker implantation site, the pacemaker check is carried out unscheduled. Patients with a history of myocardial infarction and an implantable pacemaker should be informed about the limitations that may be associated with the presence of a pacemaker. It is recommended to exclude contact with possible sources of electrical interference as much as possible, to avoid medical physiotherapy using galvanic currents. When using industrial or household equipment, safety precautions must be followed.

Considering the globalization of international market relations, the article deals withthe modern market for international container traffic on the China-Ukraine-EU route. Through myresearch, it has become clear that the international rail container transportation market is evolvingrapidly and the development of railway infrastructure is rapidly becoming a lucrative investment. The potential is evident as demonstrated by the fact that China is considering rail containertransportation as an effective alternative to the traditional transportation methods such as sea- andairfreight intermodal container transportation of goods in the nearest future. There are distinctadvantages to rail container transportation, namely: versatility; mobility; distribution of containerhandling equipment; safety of cargo as well as speed of delivery. The article points out the majorproblems related to container transportation in Ukraine: poor condition of highways; deteriorationof rolling stock and railway infrastructure in general; lack of sufficient quantity and low availabilityof modern equipment at container terminals in Ukraine; a low competitive level of transport service;high level of bureaucracy on the railway and in customs clearance. In a free-market economy and,in particular, during industry restructuring, the author proposes a new approach to organizecontainer transportation in Ukraine and for the Ukrainian railway, which should reduce the costs ofrailway traffic , on the one hand, and make it more attractive to the users, thereby confirming itscompetitive advantages. The author came to the conclusion that, owing to the development of therailway infrastructure, namely the construction of a container logistics system and high-speedrailways on the territory of Ukraine, it is possible to not only reach a competitive level of transitstates on the China-EU route but also to take a preferred position as the most economical and fastest means of transit, obtaining a substantial profit and an incentive for the further development of thetransit potential of our country.
