Using quantitative methods aligned with teacher research, the authors of this chapter examined the impact of teacher modeling and peer modeling on the self-efficacy of preservice teachers in their literacy course as they designed and implemented small group literacy lessons. Findings indicate that preservice teachers use of technology was strongly influenced by the technology tools that they saw modeled by their instructors. As preservice teachers participated in the course and in each other's lessons, they became more comfortable with the use of digital tools, Zoom features, methods for online participation, online assessment methods, and literacy instruction resources. Focus group participants reported that their ease with using technology to facilitate the demonstration lessons increased throughout the semester as they participated in peers' demonstration lessons.

The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The results showed that elementary schools are the most effective place to build student character education, considering that at this age it is a golden age, and they have a strong memory for remembering everything they see and feel. Building character education at this time, will be effective, if the teacher puts himself as an individual figure who is a good example for students. Teacher modeling will have a positive impact on student development and affect the formation of students' character and personality, both in the aspects of behavior, attitudes and habits in the school environment and in the wider environment

All educational institutions require theachers not only to be good at teaching but also as role models, as well as in Sundy school education in the church there needs to be a model teacher. The Gospel of Matthew gives an example that Jesus is the example of creative teacher. Specially the verb of didasko (teaching) with various forms used nine times to describe the activity of Jesus as a teacher. The activity of Jesus is more often informed by the word teaching (didasko = teaching) rather than the verb of preaching (kerusso = preaching). That Is why Jesus called the Teacher as a creative teacher, the teaching methods used by Jesus are not monotonous but varies according to the place, circumstance and needs of His students or listeners. The purpose of this research is to describe the example of Jesus as a teacher according to Matthew, to describe the extent of the exemplary teachers of Sunday School of the GPdI “Bethesda” Merauke Papua to recommend the application of Jesus example as a teacher based on the Gospel of Matthew for Sunday School teachers in the GPdi Church. Data source from 44 participants of Sunday School teachers in GPdI “Bethesda” Merauke. Methods and techniques of collecting interview data. Data analysis using the theory of Miles and Huberman. Conclusion: The Gospel of Matthew shows Jesus as the best teacher and can be emulated by all Sunday School teachers, example: in terms of His caling to receive a vision to serve, carry out a mission as a teacher, understand His purpose to serve in His personality is characterized, have integrity, charismatic, to be responsible, positive thinking, have ethos, nice worl, confidence, extensive knowledge, pull yourself together. In His spirituality includes centering on God, living in prayer, living righteously, living holy. In the professionalism of His ministry that is focused on goals and tasks, understanding children’s psychology, mastering teaching materials, skillful planning, skillful carrying out, skillful evaluating, skillful assessing as a communicator, as a facilitator. Having the ability to serve children is a thing, very important and can not be ignored because children are. The assets of the church and the next generation of God’s church. One-to-one lessons are ubiquitous in music education, and thus understanding the components of effective teaching in this environment is essential for student learning. This study explored whether the teaching elements identified in previous studies were evident with applied music teachers working with both college and pre-college students, and if those elements differed as a function of the level of the students. In addition, these teachers were asked to provide commentary on what they deemed important to effective studio teaching. I examined video recordings of 18 lessons given by two applied teachers who had received formal recognition for outstanding teaching. Many of the observations in this study were consistent with previous findings; however, higher rates of low magnitude positive feedback and student errors that did not elicit stops were present. One element regarding physical proximity was added. The findings indicate important differences in the way these teachers approach students at different levels, particularly regarding side coaching during performance, teacher modeling, feedback, and correction of errors. Participants also emphasized the importance of rapport and positive relationships.

This article aims to describe the form of anti-corruption education to strengthen the value of honesty in schools, factors that encourage and inhibit the implementation of anti-corruption education, as well as solutions to overcome obstacles in the implementation of anti-corruption education. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis uses interactive analysis. Anti-corruption education is carried out in two ways i.e, the honesty canteen and the learning of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. Supporting factors that influence the honesty reinforcement are teacher modeling, increased worship activities, and participation in organizational activities. The inhibiting factor is that canteens often suffer losses due to lack of supervision and teacher assistance. The solution to overcome these obstacles is to increase cooperation between teachers, increase supervision, carry out regular assistance, and support from families and communities.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to allow students to explore the accomplishments of Harriet Tubman at various stages of her life through a guided research investigation. Students will be able to identify Harriet Tubman as a human hero by creating biographical story boards to display first in the classroom and later moved to a local cultural museum. The lesson plan is based on the trade book Before She Was Harriet. This short biography of Harriet Tubman is written in a free verse style to introduce young readers to the several roles she held throughout her impressive life span. Design/methodology/approach Social constructivist principles are integrated throughout the lesson; that is, meaningful interactions with peers and the teacher influence student learning. Students participate in a scaffolded research project with the support of teacher modeling and graphic organizers. They expand their knowledge by creating an original interdisciplinary project, a story board biography. Throughout all phases of the learning experience, students engage in critical thinking and challenging activities that include drawing connections among ideas, evaluating group work, arguing positions and applying research skills. Additionally, a variety of resources, including technology, are incorporated to promote active student engagement. Findings This is a National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Notable Tradebook Lesson Plan. Originality/value Young learners need the opportunity to engage in scaffolded research activities in a social studies classroom. This innovative instructional plan provides PreK-3 teachers a guide to introducing students to Harriet Tubman by reading aloud Before She Was Harriet, a 2018 Notable Trade book, and allowing students to gather a deep understanding of this historical figure through guided research over the course of two to three sessions.

Instructional interactions that occur between teachers and students around foundational mathematics topics are critical for supporting mathematical proficiency among students with mathematics learning disabilities (MLD). This study investigated whether the initial mathematics skill of 880 kindergarten students at risk of MLD predicted the quantity and quality of explicit instructional interactions (i.e., overt teacher modeling, student practice opportunities, and academic feedback) experienced during an empirically validated Tier 2 kindergarten mathematics intervention. It also examined whether the quantity and quality of such instructional interactions predicted gains in student mathematics achievement. Researchers conducted 740 direct observations of 255 intervention groups within a multiyear, randomized controlled trial. Results suggested that intervention groups with lower initial mathematics skill received higher rates of academic feedback and made more frequent errors. In addition, more frequent and higher quality academic feedback and group practice opportunities predicted increased mathematics achievement. Implications for investigating the active ingredients of mathematics interventions are discussed.
