IEEE standard 802.15.4 defines two layers for low rate WPANs, which are physical layer and media access control layer, which restrict the data rate to 250 kbps. This alliance took low level PHY and MAC layers as the base for the development of the network protocol, security and application for the Zigbee. To solve the Problem of reduce cost and power consumption to make this technology easily available for common crowd. This system shows the total working details of the network, i.e., wireless voice communication. This work has been done to reduce the cost of entire production of such devices that contributes in home automation system and similar projects. The main objective of the research was to transfer voice over low-power micro-controller such as 8-bit micro-controller by the implementation of Zigbee.

Problem statement: The proliferation of services and applications requiring ultra-low latency and high reliability of data transmission in communication networks leads to creating new approaches and architectures in order to ensure the simultaneous transmission of Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) and Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communication (URLLC)  traffic. Providing efficient eMBB and URLLC multiplexing schemes with preset key performance indicators for each stream is the most challenging problem in wireless network development. Purpose: To provide a simultaneous transmission of eMBB and URLLC streams without reducing the user experience of eMBB services by developing a multiplexing scheme and the coherent architecture of physical (PHY) and media access control (MAC) layers in the downlink channel. Results: An eMBB and URLLC multiplexing scheme has been proposed, along with a coherent architecture for PHY and MAC layers, ensuring the given wireless network key performance indicators. The proposed solution performance has been estimated by simulation. The multiplexing scheme outperforms the baseline solution in Bit Error Rate and Frame Error Rate metrics. The coherent PHY and MAC layers architecture provides transmission with an arrival rate of 400 messages per millisecond and 99% message delivery probability in one millisecond. Practical relevance: The obtained results allow communication system developers to deploy centralized wireless networks at industrial objects.

In this short paper, we prove that smartphones connected to Wi-Fi can be detected (scanned) easily with a Raspberry Pi help. According to the observation, the smartphone eventually broadcasts some packets of data containing MAC layers data. The period of broadcasting data depends on the smartphone’s state (active scanning/sleep). Besides MAC layers data, we also detect/capture other parameters, i.e., wireless signature data transmitted by smartphone (RSSI) and Time-stamp. The RSSI value measured in this test has a range from –30 dBm to –80 dBm. The result proves that different smartphones give different RSSI values (each smartphone emits different power strength). The RSSI value has more significant changes in a short-range (in this test result, 1 to 10 meters) and less significant change in a long-distance (above 20 meters). MAC address, time-stamp, and RSSI scanned/captured successfully through Raspberry Pi from the smartphones can be used as a reference for various purposes/applications in future work, such as Wi-Fi scanning/tracking system.

This article presents a study on Television White Spaces (TVWS) to solve the connectivity of the WiFi service for the Colombian National Army in rural areas. The study analyzes regulatory aspects and technical equipment to provide a free internet access solution. Video transmission was experimentally validated, using OFDM with USRP N210 radios. With this preliminary analysis, it was possible to understand how the PHY and MAC layers of the 802.22 Standard work to select the appropriate devices.

In this paper we discuss several elements of importance for securing QoS in multimedia networks. Firstly, we present the first factor, which refers to understanding the characteristics of multimedia traffic in order to define and implement the QoS requirements. Secondly, factor refers to translation between QoS parameters that implies the distribution of system and network resources, and thirdly the factor establishes the appropriate QoS architecture that can provide the required QoS guarantees for multimedia applications. We have been analyzing security-critical applications such as remote operation, which may require a guaranteed level of availability (hard QoS). There are basically two ways to secure a guaranteed QoS. The first is simply to provide a lot of resources, enough to meet the expected peak (peak) requirements with a significant security margin. This approach generously oversupplies the (over provisioning) network. We gave a detailed security analysis as features of WiMAX. More precisely, our analysis is based on the claim that its key feature of the WiMAX network is that the security layer is built into the protocol leg instead of being added later, i.e. the security layer is complex between PHY and MAC layers.

In this paper, we investigate the possibility of the cross-layer design of a distributed random access scheme with considering physical (PHY) and multiple access control (MAC) layers, which utilizes the interference cancellation technique. In this regard, we propose a new multiple access protocol, named carrier sense non-orthogonal multiple access (CSNOMA). We consider the spatially randomly distributed interferers to realistically capture the effect of interference. The proposed protocol shows better area spectral efficiency than carrier sense multiple access (CSMA), as the node density increases. We also present a practical signaling design compatible with IEEE 802.11 DCF mode.

Wireless network finds application in communal facilities monitoring and management systems. One of the basic requirements for the construction of a wireless monitoring network with autonomous power supply is the guaranteed network lifetime. Up-to-date challenges in the field of wireless monitoring networks are creation of universal hardware platforms that allow for usage of widespread proprietary transceivers of different manufacturers aiming at creating network topologies raising energy efficiency and lifetime of WMN. The article describes a model of a wireless network allowing evaluation of its lifetime by energy parameters and dynamic reconfigurations induced by external influence. On the basis of the represented test results one may conclude that energy consumption is defined by the level of the application stack of the protocol ZigBeе and doesn’t depend on PHY and MAC layers of the protocol 802.15.4. Considering energy consumption of the data transmission process, potential increase in the lifetime of the devices and network as a whole is mostly controlled by the sizes of useful messages.

During the recent decade, wireless body area network (WBAN) was developed and prioritized. This gives reliability, energy efficiency, and guaranteed results. Moreover, internet of medical things (IoMT) also enhances the significance of WBAN networks. To achieve high throughput, performance, and efficiency, WBAN deserves a new protocol definition as compared to general wireless sensor network along with a more enhanced framework. The standard 802.15.6 with PHY and MAC layers follow the standardization of WBAN. The wireless nature of the network and various varieties of sensors in the presence of IoMT made it possible to develop new, effective, innovative, and demand-driven solutions for health improvement and quality of service. In the recent literature, the researchers have proposed an IoMT-based secure framework for WBAN. In this chapter, an in-depth and comprehensive depiction of the security issues of IoMT-based framework of the wireless network is highlighted that incorporates security measures in different levels of the WBAN network.

ZigBee is a far flung innovation depending on IEEE 802.15.4 convention. This conference is deliberate so that you can understand the physical and multiple get admission to manipulate (MAC) layers for a very low facts charge personal location network (PAN). on this exam we studies the wi-fi of issuer (QoS) parameters of a ZigBee put together. in this paper a ZigBee far off sensor gadget is set up with each versatile wi-fiand wiwireless ZigBee gadgets. Likewise the dependent tool is accomplished relying on hub need. At that element, the presentation of the planned tool is broke down for three unique parcel conveyance strategies: Poisson, Chi-rectangular and Uniform. The measurements implemented for QoS execution assessment include statistics dropped price, MAC remove, start to completewireless cast off, information wi-fic despatched, information wi-fi were given, and throughput. The critical purpose of this examination is to gauge the effect of hub want and sort of parcel flow techniques in a half of of and half of ZigBee tool.
