This research aims to develop the Android based for National Exam Tryout of Vocational Theory of SMK TKJ. This
application also gives recommendation according the tryout result. This research also aims to know the feasibility of
this application based on an assessment by media expert and student of TKJ department. this research use research
and development method (R & D) which adapted from Waterfall software development model. Waterfall method
includes 5 stages: (1) requirement definition; (2) system and software design; (3) implementation and unit testing; (4)
integration and unit testing; (5) operation and maintenance. The assessment results from media experts amounted to
4.37 for Android-based front-end applications and for 4.42 for web-based back-end applications, user-rating back-end
apps got a value of 4.65, while ratings from students were 4.53. Based on the feasibility study It can be concluded that
the Android applications can be used. This application has advantages that are: 1) the application can display the
recommendation of exam results; 2) the application displays questions randomly; 3) app can run on old Android
version.

One of the effort to overcome the ineffectiveness of face-to-face learning is to extend the interaction outside the classroom framework. In this case, advances in information technology can be utilized. The use of technology that functions like classroom face-to-face is through online learning. This study aims to find out: (1) student perceptions of online learning (a Moodle platform); and (2) the effect of student perceptions of online learning on the learning outcomes of Vocational Theory course. The research object was 117 students. The data analysis being used were descriptive statistics and Kendall's tau. The results of the study indicate that online learning is an excellent medium to complement face-to-face learning. The contribution of the perception of learning outcomes found in this study is only 1.70%. It can be said that 98.0% of learning outcomes are determined by other factorsUpaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah ketidak efektifan pembelajaran tatap muka adalah dengan membuat ekstensi berinteraksi di luar kelas.

This paper describes a new vocational theory—the strengths-based inclusive theory of work (S-BIT of Work). This theory addresses the ever-changing, dynamic nature of the world of work and integrates counseling psychology’s core values of emphasizing vocational psychology, strengths-based perspectives, multiculturalism, and social justice. We aim to provide a holistic vocational theory to inform career and work counseling practice by increasing clinicians’ cultural responsivity, promoting clients’ strengths and optimal functioning, and addressing a variety of vocational challenges across developmental stages. This first article in the Major Contribution includes a discussion of the S-BIT of Work’s core assumptions and theoretical propositions, research supporting the development of the S-BIT of Work, as well as future directions. The second and third articles in this Major Contribution discuss a model of fulfulling work, and the infusion of positive psychology and cultural responsivity in work counseling practice, respectively.

This study is aimed at: (1) understanding the characteristics of Accounting Vocational Theory trial test items using the Item Response Theory and (2) determining the horizontal equation of Accounting Vocational Theory trial exam instruments. This was explorative-descriptive research, observing the subject of the eleventh-grade students. The research objects were test instruments and responses of students from six schools selected through the stratified random sampling technique. The data analysis employed review sheets and BILOG program for the Item Response Theory 2PL. The findings were as follows. (1) The test item review of test packages A and B found 37 good quality items, the Item Response Theory using 2PL showed that Package A Test generated 27 good questions, Package B Test contained 24 good questions. (2) The question equating using the Mean/Sigma method resulted in the equation of = 1.168bx + 0.270, with the Mean/Mean method resulting in the equation of = 0.997bx - 0.250, the Mean/Mean method at 0.250, while Mean/Sigma method at 0.320.

Career counseling requires clients to make assessments and predictions of their interests, necessitating the use of both rational and intuitive processes. Dual-processing models of human decision-making have not been experimentally explored within the context of vocational assessment. One-hundred thirty-six participants chose among eight occupational/educational videos after an unconscious-intuitive, conscious-rational, or decision-as-usual information processing manipulation. Participant interest was assessed before, during, and 2 weeks following the video in order to determine differences across conditions. The results yielded three conclusions. First, the unconscious-intuitive manipulation resulted in interest forecasts that were more predictive of actual interest than did the conscious-rational manipulation or the decision-as-usual conditions. Second, interest levels were recalled more accurately by participants who made choices under unconscious-intuitive conditions than by those in the other two conditions. Finally, a history of occupational engagement was found to be related to decisional quality but only for the control group. These results are discussed in the context of vocational theory.

Drawing on Holland’s (1985, 1996) vocational theory and based on a sample of 9,011 IT professionals, two research questions were investigated. On what personality traits do IT professionals differ from other occupations and which of these are also related to their career satisfaction? Five traits met both these criteria—Emotional Resilience, Openness, Tough-Mindedness, and Customer Service—for which IT professionals had higher scores, and conscientiousness, for which they had lower scores. IT career satisfaction was also positively related to E xtraversion, Agreeableness/Teamwork, Assertiveness, Optimism, Tough-Mindedness, Work Drive, and Visionary Style. Results are discussed in terms of the fit of these traits with IT work and the value of these insights for personnel-management functions like selection, training, professional development, and career planning.
