In this paper, we consider the reconstruction of heat field in one-dimensional quasiperiodic media with an unknown source from the interior measurement. The innovation of this paper is solving the inverse problem by means of two different homotopy iteration processes. The first kind of homotopy iteration process is not convergent. For the second kind of homotopy iteration process, a convergent result is proved. Based on the uniqueness of this inverse problem and convergence results of the second kind of homotopy iteration process with exact data, the results of two numerical examples show that the proposed method is efficient, and the error of the inversion solution r t is given.

AbstractWhen fields lack consensus standards and ground truths for their analytic methods, reproducibility tends to be more of an ideal than a reality. Such has been the case for functional neuroimaging, where there exists a sprawling space of tools from which scientists can construct processing pipelines and draw interpretations. We provide a critical evaluation of the impact of differences observed in results across five independently developed functional MRI minimal preprocessing pipelines. We show that even when handling the same exact data, inter-pipeline agreement was only moderate, with the specific steps that contribute to the lack of agreement varying across pipeline comparisons. Using a densely sampled test-retest dataset, we show that the limitations imposed by inter-pipeline agreement mainly become appreciable when the reliability of the underlying data is high. We highlight the importance of comparison among analytic tools and parameters, as both widely debated (e.g., global signal regression) and commonly overlooked (e.g., MNI template version) decisions were each found to lead to marked variation. We provide recommendations for incorporating tool-based variability in functional neuroimaging analyses and a supporting infrastructure.

Plummer-Vinson syndrome is a classical triad of dysphagia, iron-deficiency anemia and esophageal webs, Plummer-Vinson or Paterson-Kelly syndrome occurs. There is no exact data on the epidemiology of the condition; the syndrome is extremely rare. Most of the patients are middle-aged white women, but the syndrome has also been identified in children and adolescents in the fourth to seventh decades of life. Over the years, dysphagia is typically painless and sporadic or incremental, restricted to solids and often related to weight loss. The association with upper alimentary tract cancers is one of the most significant clinical aspects of Plummer-Vinson syndrome. Etiopathogenesis is unknown due to Plummer-Vinson syndrome.

The 20th century history of Latvia is complex and sometimes difficult to understand for a non–professional. In the 1900’s, in Latvia various powers changed several times and events unfolded rapidly and with many turning points. Tracing all of them is a challenge even for a professional historian. The chronology is the first serious attempt to provide an answer to this challenge and make the history of Lat-via more understandable not only for history enthusiasts, but also for people interested in history – both in Latvia and elsewhere. The group of historians who developed this chronology also faced various problems – from the development of the most important criteria for the selection of facts to the problems of the exact data of events. Although a complete reflection of chronology cannot be expected in a chronology of this nature, which, in the author’s opinion, is only an ideal goal – it is undoubtedly a significant step towards the fur-ther formation of chronology and creation of deeper understanding of history of Latvia.

AbstractIn this paper, we derive a new reconstruction method for real non-harmonic Fourier sums, i.e., real signals which can be represented as sparse exponential sums of the form $$f(t) = \sum _{j=1}^{K} \gamma _{j} \, \cos (2\pi a_{j} t + b_{j})$$ f ( t ) = ∑ j = 1 K γ j cos ( 2 π a j t + b j ) , where the frequency parameters $$a_{j} \in {\mathbb {R}}$$ a j ∈ R (or $$a_{j} \in {\mathrm i} {\mathbb {R}}$$ a j ∈ i R ) are pairwise different. Our method is based on the recently proposed numerically stable iterative rational approximation algorithm in Nakatsukasa et al. (SIAM J Sci Comput 40(3):A1494–A1522, 2018). For signal reconstruction we use a set of classical Fourier coefficients of f with regard to a fixed interval (0, P) with $$P>0$$ P > 0 . Even though all terms of f may be non-P-periodic, our reconstruction method requires at most $$2K+2$$ 2 K + 2 Fourier coefficients $$c_{n}(f)$$ c n ( f ) to recover all parameters of f. We show that in the case of exact data, the proposed iterative algorithm terminates after at most $$K+1$$ K + 1 steps. The algorithm can also detect the number K of terms of f, if K is a priori unknown and $$L \ge 2K+2$$ L ≥ 2 K + 2 Fourier coefficients are available. Therefore our method provides a new alternative to the known numerical approaches for the recovery of exponential sums that are based on Prony’s method.

Privacy preserving data mining has become progressively mainstream since it permits sharing of privacy delicate data for examination purposes .So individuals have gotten progressively reluctant to share their data, regularly bringing about people either declining to share their data or giving inaccurate data. As of late, privacy preserving data mining has been concentrated broadly, on account of the wide multiplication of delicate data on the web. Data Mining manages programmed extraction of already obscure examples from a lot of data sets. These data sets ordinarily contain touchy individual data or basic business data, which thusly get presented to different gatherings during Data Mining exercises. This makes hindrance in Data Mining measure. Answer for this issue is given by Privacy preserving in data mining (PPDM). PPDM is a specific arrangement of Data Mining exercises where procedures are developed to secure privacy of the data, so the information revelation cycle can be completed without obstruction. The target of PPDM is to shield delicate data from spilling in the mining cycle alongside exact Data Mining results. The objective of this paper is to introduce the survey on different privacy preserving strategies which are useful in mining huge measure of data with sensible productivity and security.

Objectives: The present research addresses the stage of perception of Romanian respondents regarding Sars-CoV-2 contamination and their sexual behaviour. Specifically, the goal is to observe whether respondents use protection measures during their sexual activity. Methods: The study included 621 participants randomly chose. Online scales were used, mainly the Covid-19 Sexuality Assessment Questionnaire, to assess perceptions of Sars-CoV-2 virus contamination and on sexual behaviours. Results: Scores were obtained for the three stages investigated: real information, one’s sources of information and the stage of pandemic and sexual behaviour. The frequency of answers obtained was F = 49 and the expected frequency was F = 60.9 for real information about Covid-19, having an insignificant p > 0.5. The frequency of the answers obtained was F = 52 and the expected frequency was F = 50.7 for one’s information sources, having a significant p < 0.1. The frequency of the answers obtained was F = 18 and the expected frequency of F = 16.9 for the pandemic stage and sexual behaviour, having an insignificant p > 0.5. Conclusions: The results obtained show that the respondents had less official and specialized information with and about the sexual life during pandemic, and no exact data about the danger they are exposed to in terms of transmission with the Sars-CoV-2 virus.

Over the past decades, advertising for the library has become a mandatory part of the activity, but the approach to its creation is largely based on accepted stereotypes that express the most common ideas about the properties of such a complex phenomenon as the target audience of the library. Advertising can be expressed through an advertising image that contains not only objective but also subjective information; it uses associations, metaphors, emotions, visualization of something that has a generalizing character, i. e. a layer of implicit information is added to the exact data and read automatically. One of the problems of creating an advertising image may be that there are contradictions between the perception of the person who creates an advertising based on a stereotype and its recipient. The article reflects the experience of the State Public Scientific Technological Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPSTL SB RAS) in the study of two groups — “Event visitors” and “Readers”. The study involved 326 people (254 visitors to mass events and 72 readers of the SPSTL SB RAS). The author tested the method of semi-formalized interview to get relevant information for better understanding the audience’s motivation and desires. It is assumed to use pre-made plan with a list of mandatory questions, while using general wording and their variations, “close to the text”, and observing the general logic in their sequence. The author analyses the data on distribution of users in both groups (“Event visitors” and “Readers”) by the age categories and employment areas; frequency of library visits; frequency of references to forms of work that are called in demand and found interesting in both groups; frequency of references to preferred information channels. The article presents the main positions for creating an advertising image of the library. The author shows the expediency of using the semi-formalized interview method to adjust the advertising image of the library and the campaign to promote events, resources and services based on it, both for individual groups and for several segments in parallel, if the library’s event or service does not have a specific addressee. The article reveals the method of work that can be applied in the analysis of the advertising image for other libraries.

In the ongoing years, the radar innovation, once utilized dominatingly in the military, has begun to rise in various regular citizen applications. One of the regions that this innovation showed up is car automation. The danger of crash is incremented as the quantity of vehicles out. Versatile voyage control, pre-crash, and cautioning are a portion of the utilizations of car radar which are as of now being used in numerous autos. The eventual fate of the car business guarantees to offer a completely self-ruling auto that can drive itself with no driver help. These vehicles will require great radar sensors that can give exact data about the encompassing of the vehicle. These sensors will likewise require a figuring stage that can guarantee constant handling of the received signals. It is discovered that digital signal processing comprises of 3D FFT and framework augmentation handling. As an elective preparing stage, a FPGA/ASIC stage can be utilized to actualize of the calculation to meet the ongoing imperatives of car applications.

Opinions differ about the pathological causes of menopausal bleeding; there are no exact data in the literature. In most cases, these bleeding is linked to endometrial inflammation. In many cases, such inflammation occurs, in no fewer cases, after curettage of the uterus, a healthy mucous membrane is obtained. With such a negative result, the cause of bleeding is sought in chronic metritis, especially when the uterus is slightly enlarged. For some cases this explanation is true, for others it is not. In the latter category of cases, there is often a disease of the vessels themselves, which prevents them from contracting. Such cases, taken from private practice and the Leopold's Clinic, are being discussed.
