The important problem of the early or late onset of summer monsoon over India is addressed in the present study and found to be related to the structure and behaviour of a monsoon stationary wave that forms over the region due to land-sea thermal contrast and interacts with travelling wave disturbances in the westerlies and the easterlies associated with the subtropical belt over Asia. Depending upon the type of coupling and decoupling that occurs between the interacting waves, monsoon advances towards India either slowly or speedily. Since northward-propagating monsoon depressions are found to accelerate the onset processes. the study carries out a detailed analysis of the interaction processes which give rise to such disturbances and determine their development and movement.

This study focuses on a new fabrication of nanocomposite based on Polyurethane Copolymer (PUC) intercalated with organo-modified montmorillonite nanoparticles (OMMT), via an efficient combination of solution mixing and melt blending processes. The combination of solution mixing and melt interaction processes produced PUC/OMMT nanocomposites with enhanced properties. The OMMT filled PUC was characterised by TEM and tensile test. The effect of thermal treatment process was also studied due to subsequent microphase separation of PUC resulting from microdomain miscibility. TEM observation recognised a decent dispersion state of OMMT within PUC, owing to their exfoliated and intercalated structure. This morphology was greatly influenced by induced thermal treatment. The dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) revealed that storage modulus and glass transition temperature of the nanocomposites increased with OMMT incorporation. The tensile modulus and tensile strength of nanocomposites showed an improvement with the addition of OMMT.

Abstract Pedagogical Ethos. A Core competence of Pedagogical Actors? The article discusses selected attempts to define a specific pedagogical ethos and to identify it as a core competence of pedagogical action, especially of professionally acting pedagogical actors, but also of pedagogical practice as a whole. It compares Plato’s ›Socratic Eros‹ with Hartmut von Hentigs ›Socratic Imperative‹ and uses the pedagogical ethics of Wolfgang Brezinka, Hans-Jochen Gamm and Klaus Prange to show that attempts at justification outside of pedagogy are not able to capture the core competence of pedagogical action. It develops an outlook on a pedagogical ethos- and tact-research that does not interpret the effectiveness of pedagogical action monocausally, but ties it back to transitions from pedagogical to transformational interaction processes (Bildungsprozesse).

Abstract The article gives an example of constructing a generalized mathematical model of the interaction processes occurring in geokhod mining. An example of the solution of a particular problem is given, the determination of the values of the forces arising from the interaction of the blade of an external mover with geoenvironment.

Fracture connectivity within fractured granitic basement geothermal reservoirs is an important factor controlling their permeability. This study aims to improve the understanding of fluid–rock interaction processes at low to moderate regional strain. The Noble Hills range (Death Valley, CA, USA) was chosen as a naturally exhumed paleo geothermal reservoir. A series of petrographic, petrophysical, and geochemical investigations, combined with a fracture distribution analysis, were carried out on samples collected across fracture zones. Our results indicate that several generations of fluids have percolated through the reservoir. An increase of (1) the alteration degree; (2) the porosity values; and (3) the calcite content was observed when approaching fracture zones. No correlation was identified among the alteration degree, the porosity, or the calcite content. At a local scale, samples showed that the degree of alteration does not necessarily depend on the fracture density or on the amount of the strain. It is concluded that the combined influence of strain and coeval fluid–rock interaction processes drastically influence the petrophysical properties of fracture zones, which in turn impact geothermal production potential.

In this study, interactions of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles with serum albumin biomolecules in aqueous solutions were considered. The studies were conducted with the laser correlation spectroscopy and optical analysis of dehydrated films. It was shown that the addition of magnetite to an albumin solution at low concentrations of up to 10−6 g/L led to the formation of aggregates with sizes of up to 300 nm in the liquid phase and an increase in the number of spiral structures in the dehydrated films, which indicated an increase in their stability. With a further increase in the magnetite concentration in the solution (from 10−4 g/L), the magnetic particles stuck together and to albumin, thus forming aggregates with sizes larger than 1000 nm. At the same time, the formation of morphological structures in molecular films was disturbed, and a characteristic decrease in their stability occurred. Most stable films were formed at low concentrations of magnetic nanoparticles (less than 10−4 g/L) when small albumin–magnetic nanoparticle aggregates were formed. These results are important for characterizing the interaction processes of biomolecules with magnetic nanoparticles and can be useful for predicting the stability of biomolecular films with the inclusion of magnetite particles.

The subject of the study are organizational and economic relations arising in the process of administrative and legal support of management of integrated economic structures in a globalized business processes. Methodology. Instrumental and methodological apparatus of the study consists of the applied methods of organizational economic analysis, statistical methods, sample observation, economic and mathematical modeling method, grouping, generalization, expert evaluations, methods of economic theory, marketing, etc. The aim of the article is to study the basics of administrative and legal support of integrated economic structures management in the globalization of business processes. The results of the study consist in the development of specific provisions and recommendations aimed at improving the management of the formation and integrated economic structures functioning in the context of business processes globalization. The proposed recommendations will improve the level of administrative and legal support of corporate governance and efficiency of companies' groups. Conclusion. The following conditions of effective management of integrated economic structures in the context of business processes globalization are highlighted: compliance with the target unity in the activities of integrated economic entities; orientation of participants to achieve a synergetic effect of integration interaction; creation and maintenance of economic motivation for joint activities; orientation to reduce corporate risks of integration interaction; compatibility of resource potentials of the main interacting organizations; ensuring the controllability of integration interaction processes in the interests of the owner. Organization of rational economic relations within them and with external structures is of great importance to improve the efficiency of economic activities of integrated economic structures. These are relations with public authorities (GR-management), suppliers and customers, banks, insurance organizations, employees of enterprises, owners. The effectiveness of the group of companies largely depends on the availability and level of system development of internal regulatory management of consolidated finances. The purpose of internal regulations system is to fill gaps in the norms of existing administrative and legal legislation in the regulation of economic, managerial and financial activities of integrated economic structures.

Social networking sites can be defined as online services that allow users to create public or private profiles and, among other things, create connections, share opinions, news, and affections. In 2014, many electors in Brazil were engaged in the presidential campaign on these virtual spaces as never before. In this context, the research question guiding this study is: What are the communication strategies employed by electors and the three main presidential candidates in the online interaction processes during the 2014 Brazilian elections? To address this question, empirical research was employed using a qualitative approach to analyze comments posted in the candidates’ Facebook fan pages during that electoral process. Based on the research and theory in this field, two types of communication in the virtual space were investigated: (a) vertical communication through interaction between Internet users and campaign staff; and (b) horizontal communication among electors in the comments section. We conclude that, although the comments section of the candidates’ pages on Facebook is frequently used as a space both for mutual support and incivility against opponents, it is still used creatively for discussion on the candidates’ government plans, the situation of the country, attempts of engagement in the electoral process and exposure to ideologically crosscutting viewpoints.
