This research aimed to identificate the selection response, the avarage of yield and fresh stover weight of corn during eight cycles of mass selection with basic index technique and observe the genetic parameter of quantitative characteristics. The randomized block design was used to test the selected with 11 treatment populations. Each treatment was replicated 3 times, in order to obtain 33 experimental units. The experimental data were analyzed with analysis of variance at 5 % levels. The average treatment was tested by the LSD0.05. The selection response was obtained from the simple linear regression coefficient between the observed traits with selection cycles. The result of this research, shows the yield and fresh stover weight has a response mass selection with basic index technique per cycle at 0.230 kgplot-1 (3.39 %) and 10.633 gtan-1 (4.21 %), respectively; both of them moderate catagories. The average of yield of eighth cycle population was higher compare to initial population and Gumarang; but the same with Lamuru variety. The weight of fresh stover was the same between treatments. The yield of initial population, eighth cycle population, Gumarang and Lamuru varieties were 5.653 tha-1; 8.035 tha-1; 5.278 t ha-1 and 7.410 tha-1, respectively. The increased of plant height, total number of leaves per plant, number of fresh leaves at harvest and all yield components, were increased the yield. The increased of fresh stover weight occured when there were increased in plant height, total number of leaves, stem diameter and number of fresh leaves at harvest. The characteristic with the higher genetic effect than the environment effect found in weight of ear harvest, length of ear and yield.

The condition of the motor transport industry largely defines the progressive socio-economic changes in any country. It also serves a basic index of state development from the perspective of standards of living and healthy environment for economic growth and business activities. The motor transport industry reflects efficiency of the state policy, which also includes effective budget funding of the industry. The most developed countries make a considerable effort to maintain the motor transport system infrastructure and to stimulate development and integration of innovation technologies, which meets the goals of the national economy’s sustainable development. Paper analyzes some modern patterns and prospects of transport industry development on the examples of Asia and Russia economical systems.

A basic index of economic centrality is proposed. This measure makes clear the influence of internal and external dimensions as well as economic and geographical impacts. Some critical policy actions that can be taken in order to improve the centrality level of a country are discussed.

In the framework of the research project of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic TA 02011350 “Investigation of properties of diatomaceous clays and methods for improving their structure", clay properties have been investigated depending on the content of diatoms. To investigate the effects of diatom microfossil content on the index properties of clay soils, measuring tests were performed on cohesive soils with different diatom microfossils content.

The goal of this study was to first develop a systematic data collection strategy to create and maintain a database of policies in the United States that promote seismic mitigation. With this database, indices were developed to facilitate understanding of the relationship between policy activity, policy coverage, and seismic risk, as well as to perform cross-state comparison. The most basic index is a count of the number of policies each state has adopted. An index was developed that directly accounts for the seismic risk of each state. A Guttman scale was developed to characterize states’ policy coverage, as well as the level of intensity represented by states’ policy activity. The relationship between policy coverage and seismic risk was also explored. For the most part, this study found a moderate relationship between seismic risk and policy activity, as well as a moderately strong relationship between risk and policy coverage.

This paper analyses the necessity of building the evaluating index system for repair quality of representative equipment. This paper studies its repair process, and gives the principle of founding the index system. And then combine with the repair in facts, it establishes the evaluating index system and gives the counting methods and meaning of the basic index at last.
