ABSTRACT In the process of establishing the image of Immigration Office Class I Non TPI Karawang using the Development of Integrity Zone as an effort to support the formation of a very good image for the office. The development of this Integrity Zone is divided into two different predicate steps, including the Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) and the Clean and Serving Bureaucracy (WBBM). From these steps, an innovation service was formed to support the successful achievement of WBK/WBBM badges with the hope of being able to help various public complaints. The regulations underlying the establishment of this Integrity Zone are contained in Presidential Decree No. 14 of 2010 concerning the Establishment of the Steering Committee for National Bureaucratic Reform and the National Bureaucratic Reform Team as amended by presidential decree No. 23 of 2010. The method conducted in this study is Qualitative – descriptive which is a depiction using the collection of case study data analysis at the Immigration Office Class I Non TPI Karawang. The results of this study showed that the development of Integrity Zone managed to form an excellent office image in the eyes of the community. Keywords: Image, Communication Process, Integrity Zone Development   ABSTRAK Pada proses pembentukan citra Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I Non TPI Karawang menggunakan Pembangunan Zona Integritas sebagai upaya pendukung terbentuknya citra sangat baik bagi kantor. Abstract. In many parts, coastal erosion is severe due to human-induced coastal zone development and storm impacts, in addition to climate change. In this study, the beach erosion risk was defined, followed by a quantitative assessment of potential beach erosion risk based on three components associated with the watershed, coastal zone development, and episodic storms. On an embayed beach, the background erosion due to development in the watershed affects sediment supply from rivers to the beach, while alongshore redistribution of sediment transport caused by construction of a harbor induces shoreline reshaping, for which the parabolic-type equilibrium bay shape model is adopted. To evaluate beach erosion during storms, the return period (frequency) of a storm occurrence was evaluated from long-term beach survey data conducted four times per year. Beach erosion risk was defined, and assessment was carried out for each component, from which the results were combined to construct a combined potential erosion risk curve to be used in the environmental impact assessment. Finally, the proposed method was applied to Bongpo–Cheonjin Beach in Gangwon-do, South Korea, with the support of a series of aerial photographs taken from 1972 to 2017 and beach survey data obtained from the period commencing in 2010. The satisfactory outcomes derived from this study are expected to benefit eroding beaches elsewhere.

Abstract The study of emerging forms of public engagement and collective action is crucial for understanding the ongoing democratic dynamics, citizenship, and the constitution of the city's public problems. To recognize how the field of frontier studies is inseparable from the processes of experience of actors, this study focuses on the importance of the social innovation ecosystem (SIE) for the development of frontier zones. Specifically, this study revisits the main instruments of public management and border development policies to emphasize figures of civil society and their collective mobilizations on the Brazil-Bolivia border, recognizing social innovation initiatives and the main challenges they seek to solve. This path of public investigation allowed us to understand the territorial dimension of borders and expand their meaning as a living space by giving light to the actors' practices, identifying how they mobilize to repair socio-environmental inequalities.

The dynamic process of suburbanisation in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, causes changes in the scale of the construction activity, mainly in the communes surrounding large cities. Although, in Poland, suburbanisation processes were initiated with the system transformation, and the first spatial planning law was adopted only in 1994. In addition, building permits were issued in an unplanned manner, regardless of future consequences. As a result, housing development, despite its high intensity in suburban zones, is dispersed and chaotic. The aim of this study is to juxtapose the construction activity with the guidelines governing this sphere contained in strategic and planning documents, with the example of the suburbs of Toruń. On the basis of the statistical data, and the planning and strategic documents at different levels, it is shown that construction activity, because of its interference in space, is indeed an important element shaping suburban zone development; there is a burning need for the appropriate, i.e., sustainable and long-term, planning of this process. This planning may be boosted by considering the potential development scenarios for the analysed communes belonging to the Toruń suburban area set out in this study.

Abstract Many landslides are induced by excavation activities in the loess region. In this article, a loess – paleosol slope model was built and tested under 80 g centrifugal environment. Three certain angle excavations were simulated by manipulator movement. The mini pressure sensor and PIV system were utilized to monitor experimental process respectively. It can be found that the slope from excavation to failure, is liable to form the deep and shallow two sliding surfaces. The distance perpendicular to slope surface was measured as 9.6 cm for the deeper sliding surface, and 4.2 cm for the shallower one. Both of sliding surfaces are caused by the interaction of tensile failure and shear failure, specifically presented as the tensile failure concentrating on the upper part and the shear failure on the lower part. The loess slope can be split into three zones by response of excavation unloading (i.e., the sliding zone, the influenced zone and the uninfluenced zone). The failure pattern belongs to a retrogressive type with the bulging front edge and tension cracking trailing edge. The causes of the fractures on the slope top can be divided into different sections. The fracture near the slope top is induced by tension and shear force. But the fracture away from slope top is only induced by tension. In addition, the plastic zone development distribution of simulation has a good consistency with the centrifugal model deformation zoning diagram. These results can provide guidance for excavation activities in loess – paleosol slopes.
