A conformal four-port multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna operating at 2.4 GHz and ultrawideband (UWB) is presented for wearable applications. The unit element of the MIMO antenna is a simple rectangular monopole with an impedance bandwidth of 8.9 GHz (3.1–12 GHz). In the monopole radiator, stubs are introduced to achieve 2.4 GHz resonance. Also, a defect is introduced in the ground plane to reduce backside radiation. The efficiency of the proposed antenna is greater than 95%, and its peak gain is 3.1 dBi. The MIMO antenna has an isolation of >20 dB, and the estimated specific absorption rate (SAR) values for 1 gm of tissue are below 1.6 W/Kg. The size of the four-port MIMO antenna is 1.38λ0 × 0.08λ0 × 0.014λ0.

In the standardization of versatile video coding (VVC), discrete cosine transform (DCT)-2, discrete sine transform (DST)-7, and DCT-8 are regarded as the primary transform kernels. However, DST-4 and DCT-4 can also be considered as the transform kernels instead of using DST-7 and DCT-8 owing to their effectiveness in smaller resolution test sequences. To implement these different block size transform kernels, a considerable amount of memory has to be allocated. Moreover, memory consumption to store different block size transform kernels is regarded as a major issue in video coding standardization. To address this problem, a common sparse unified matrix concept is introduced in this study, where any block size transform kernel matrix can be obtained after some mathematical operations. The proposed common sparse unified matrix saves approximately 80% of the static memory by storing only a few transform kernel elements for DCT-2, DST-7, and DCT-8. Full-required transform kernels are derived using the stored transform kernels and generated unit-element matrices and a permutation matrix. The static memory required is only for 1648 elements instead of 8180 elements, each with 8-bit precision. The defined common sparse unified matrix is composed of two parts: a unified DST-3 matrix and a grouped DST-7 matrix. The unified DST-3 matrix is used to derive different points of DCT-2 transform kernels, and the grouped DST-7 matrix is used to derive different points of DST-7 and DCT-8 transform kernels. The new technique of grouping concept is introduced, which shows the relationship between different rows of DST-7 transform kernels with various block sizes. The proposed grouping concept supports the fast algorithm of DST-7 by implementing the proposed method of the “one group one feature” principle. The simulation was conducted using the VTM-3.0 reference software under common test conditions. The simulation result of the all intra (AI) configuration is Y = 0.00%, U = −0.02%, V = 0.00% with an encoding time of 100%, and a decoding time of 100%. Similarly, the simulation results of random access (RA) configuration are Y = −0.01%, U = 0.09%, V = 0.06%, and the encoding and decoding times are 101% and 100%, respectively. The simulation result of the low delay B (LDB) configuration is Y = 0.01%, U = 0.08%, and V = −0.27%, for encoding and decoding times of 101% and 100%, respectively.

In this paper, an array antenna for LOS datalink for mounting UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) of low-probability of intercept is presented. For low RCS, radome was designed by conformal form, and other components were inserted into the UAV. The antenna of the transmitter and receiver are each composed of 12×12 array antennas, and include a beam steering function by controlling the phase of the unit element for the Uni-directional pattern and the Bi-directional pattern. As a result of the measurement of the manufactured antenna, it was confirmed that all the required specifications were met, and the installing possibility of the UAV platform on low-probability of intercept in the future was confirmed.

The paper considers two types of Volterra integral equations of the first kind, arising in the study of inverse problems of the dynamics of controlled heat power systems. The main focus of the work is aimed at studying the specifics of the classes of Volterra equations of the first kind that arise when describing nonlinear dynamics using the apparatus of Volterra integro-power series. The subject area of the research is represented by a simulation model of a heat exchange unit element, which describes the change in enthalpy with arbitrary changes in fluid flow and heat supply. The numerical results of solving the problem of identification of transient characteristics are presented. They illustrate the fundamental importance of practical recommendations based on sufficient conditions for the solvability of linear multidimensional Volterra equations of the first kind. A new class of nonlinear systems of integro-algebraic equations of the first kind, related to the problem of automatic control of technical objects with vector inputs and outputs, is distinguished. For such systems, sufficient conditions are given for the existence of a unique, sufficiently smooth solution. A review of the literature on these problem types is given.

The aim of this paper is to investigate several operators on quantum B-algebras. At first, we introduce closure and interior operators on quantum B-algebras and consider their relations on bounded quantum B-algebras. Furthermore, we discuss very true operators on quantum B-algebras by three cases via the unit element, and present some similar conclusions and different results. Finally, by constructing a very true operator on a quotient very true perfect quantum B-algebra, we establish a homomorphism theorem on very true perfect quantum B-algebras.

In this paper, we present new results of the spectrum of elements of a complex normed hyper-algebra. Also, we study the unitization and the quasi-inverse of a normed hyperalgebra without a unit element. Moreover, we prove that if X is a complex normed normal hyperalgebra without a unit element and Y is the unitization X + C of X. Then σY ((x, 0)) ⊆ σX(x).

A novel circular polarized dielectric antenna array (DRA) for millimeter-wave applications at 30 GHz is presented in this paper. The unit element array is a flower-shaped DRA fed with a cross slot. To obtain circular polarization, a sequential network combined with the cross slots is used to feed the 2×2 array. The prototype of the proposed antenna array is fabricated and measured to obtain a wide resonance bandwidth from 27 GHz to 38 GHz frequency band. Furthermore, this left-hand polarized antenna array has achieved a peak gain of 9.5 dBi with 3-dB axial ratio at 30 GHz. The proposed DRA array with wideband resonance and gain bandwidth has the potential to be used for millimeter-wave wireless communications at the 30 GHz band.

This paper presents a highly compact frequency-selective surface (FSS) that has the potential to switch between the X-band (8 GHz–12 GHz) and C-band (4 GHz–8 GHz) for RF shielding applications. The proposed FSS is composed of a square conducting loop with inward-extended arms loaded with curved extensions. The symmetric geometry allows the RF shield to perform equally for transverse electric (TE), transverse magnetic (TM), and 45° polarizations. The unit cell has a dimension of 0.176 λ0 and has excellent angular stability up to 60°. The resonance mechanism was investigated using equivalent circuit models of the shield. The design of the unit element allowed incorporation of PIN diodes between adjacent elements for switching to a lower C-band spectrum at 6.6 GHz. The biasing network is on the bottom layer of the substrate to avoid effects on the shielding performance. A PIN diode configuration for the switching operation was also proposed. In simulations, the PIN diode model was incorporated to observe the switchable operation. Two prototypes were fabricated, and the switchable operation was demonstrated by etching copper strips on one fabricated prototype between adjacent unit cells (in lieu of PIN diodes) as a proof of the design prototypes. Comparisons among the results confirmed that the design offers high angular stability and excellent performance in both bands.

In this paper, a single-layer compound unit element is proposed for reflectarray antenna design operating in Ka-band (26.5-29.5GHz) at the center frequency of 28GHz. A systematic study on the performance of a compound unit element is examined first. The structure of the proposed unit element is a unique combination of two different shape simple patches i.e. cross dipole and square patches. The desired phase range is achieved due to the multi-resonance of both patch elements with a single layer without any air-gap. The compound unit element is simulated by computer models of CST Microwave studio based on the Floquet approach (infinite periodic approach) and it has achieved 348.589o reflection phase range. Furthermore, the analysis of the reflection phase range, S-curve gradient, reflection magnitude, fabrication tolerance, and surface current density is also simulated and demonstrated. Based on the remarkable performance, the proposed element can be considered as the best element of single-beam or multi-beam reflectarray antenna design for 5G applications.
