To efficiently fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, a sterilisation module using 265 nm UVC LED packages was developed. In this paper, the performance of the sterilisation module in terms of irradiance uniformity, junction temperature increase and sterilisation efficiency were characterised. The irradiance uniformity fluctuation across the four corners and the centre point in a 130 mm × 130 mm area was below 10%, exhibiting good uniformity. Uniform irradiance was important to achieve consistent sterilisation, which was the primary difference between the UVC LED package developed and commercial UVC LED packages. Key to achieving uniform irradiance was the structure, consisting of a stacked silicon reflector and a secondary optical lens designed by ray tracing simulation. The junction temperature increase of the 265 nm UVC LED package driving at 200 mA was only 28°C, sufficiently low to exhibit better reliability and performance. A 99.99% sterilisation efficiency on E. coli bacteria was achieved within one minute with UV dosage of 2.7 mJ/cm2 at 200 mA driving current. From the results, the novel 265 nm UVC LED package was a time-efficient solution for disinfection purposes.

In this paper, an enhanced polarization-independent two-layer five-port grating with covering layer is proposed. The rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA) is used to predict grating parameters. In addition, the total efficiency of the polarization-independent five-port grating with covering layer can exceed 80% with the good uniformity of 1.97% for TE and TM polarization. The inherent coupling mechanism and the electric field energy distribution of the gratings are explained well under TE and TM polarization by the simplified mode method (SMM) and the finite element method (FEM). According to the reported five-port gratings, the proposed transmission five-port grating with a covering layer has good uniformity for TE and TM polarization. Moreover, the grating can be protected and the groove of the grating can be kept clean by adding a covering layer during the actual fabrication. At the same time, the fabrication errors of the two-layer five-port diffraction grating are further considered. Therefore, the numerically simulated five-port grating with covering layer has a wide application prospect in precision displacement measurement and holographic projection imaging.

Seven genotypes of broad leaf mustard were evaluated for their performance at research field of Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal in winter season of consecutive three years; 2016, 2017 and 2018. The main objective of these studies was to find out the most promising genotypes of broad leaf mustard. The experiments were conducted in randomized complete block design with three replications. Three weeks old seedlings were transplanted on first week of October at the spacing of 45 cm x 30 cm. Fertilizer was applied at the rate of 200:150:100 NPK kg/ha and 15ton compost per hectare and other cultural practices was carried out as per recommendation of National Horticulture Research Centre, Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal. Fresh consumable fully developed green leaves were harvested frequently; seven to ten days interval. In the present study, wide genetic variability was observed on plant vigor, insect, disease, leaf length (cm), leaf width (cm), leaf harvest yield in number and weight, and consumer’s response recorded. On the basis of overall characteristics, among the evaluated genotypes; HRDBLM010 showed superior performance with good uniformity, vigorous growth, moderately resistant with insects pest and disease (2.1), bigger leaf size (44.2 x 27.5 cm), least petiole length (0.93 cm), significantly higher leaf yield in number (25) and weight (748 g/plant and 51.24 t/ha), medium late bolting, good taste has been selected for cultivation at central mid-hills (Kathmandu valley) condition of Nepal. The next promising genotype is HRDBLM004 which had also good uniformity, vigorous, less damage by insect (2.4) and disease (2.5), higher yield in number (41) and weight (848 g/plant and 60.10 t/ha) and softness. These two genotypes have been found promising genotypes for cultivation in central mid-hills of Nepal.

Four-port beam splitter with good uniformity was proposed by T-type double-layer with different dielectric grating. The total efficiency of the beam splitter is over 90% with beam splitting uniformity better than 3%. At the same time, the simplified modal analysis is added to calculate the grating mode and effective refractive index of the grating area, which clearly describes the physical propagation mechanism inside the grating. The finite element method is used to investigate the normalized field of the grating, which more intuitively reflects the way of energy transfer inside the grating. Finally, the incident characteristics and manufacturing tolerance of the grating are analyzed. Properties of the T-type grating were analyzed in three methods, which more fully illustrates the applicability and stability of the grating in this paper.

We propose a framework to prove Malle's conjecture for the compositum of two number fields based on proven results of Malle's conjecture and good uniformity estimates. Using this method, we prove Malle's conjecture for $S_n\times A$ over any number field $k$ for $n=3$ with $A$ an abelian group of order relatively prime to 2, for $n= 4$ with $A$ an abelian group of order relatively prime to 6, and for $n=5$ with $A$ an abelian group of order relatively prime to 30. As a consequence, we prove that Malle's conjecture is true for $C_3\wr C_2$ in its $S_9$ representation, whereas its $S_6$ representation is the first counter-example of Malle's conjecture given by Klüners. We also prove new local uniformity results for ramified $S_5$ quintic extensions over arbitrary number fields by adapting Bhargava's geometric sieve and averaging over fundamental domains of the parametrization space.

Rotating membrane emulsification (RMR) has been intensively developed and applied for producing emulsion as well as particulate products such as microcapsules. Polyurea microcapsules were generally prepared by interfacial polycondensation polymerisation with addition of modifier to produce more stable microcapsules. In this research, development of the RMR was applied for producing polymer particles stabilised by nanoparticle without any addition of surfactant or modifier. Two types of membrane pores, the square (Type-A) with hydraulic diameter (Dh) of 84 mm and oblong pores with an aspect ratio of 0.33 (Type-B) having Dh of 69 mm was investigated. For the membranes designed in this research, pore shape A membrane could produce good uniformity in both polyurea microcapsule and polymer particle. In the polymer stabilised particle, this membrane type obtained a narrower size distribution than the usage for o/w emulsification. Reasonable uniform particles at high membrane rotation speed could also be achieved with the use of Type-A membrane. The uniformity confirmed that there was only minor breakup of products during operation at high membrane rotation. This attractive feature was significant in the production of fragile or shear-sensitive particulate products since the delicate structure of these products is possibly easy to destroy at high membrane rotation speed.  Keywords: polyurea microcapsules; particles stabilised nanoparticles; slotted pore

AbstractAxial diffraction-limited multiple foci are a kind of investigated focal field for trapping multiple nano-particles. We first experimentally generated diffraction-limited axial double foci by optimization-free binary planar lens and theoretically demonstrated it, which can be applied in multi-particle trapping. The proposed binary planar lens was analytically designed. The BPL has a numerical aperture of 0.9 and a focal length of 150 μm. The focal field of the binary planar lens, which is composed of diffraction-limited axial double foci, was first experimentally validated. The measured maximum lateral full widths at half maximum of the two generated focal spots were diffraction-limited and consistent with the theoretical. The axial double foci formed two stable optical traps that can trap two Rayleigh dielectric particles simultaneously. The radial, azimuthal and axial optical forces of the double optical traps are in good uniformity, which are 0.98, 0.99 and 0.96, respectively.

In the present study to mask the unpleasant taste of chloroquine phosphate, hot melt coating technique was used as a taste masking tool. Hot melt coating is a solvent free technology grants rapid, additionally economical coating process with reduced risk of dissolving drug during process and provide uniform application rate of coating agent. Precirol ATO 5 was used as hot melt coating material for taste masking. Tablets were prepared by wet granulation method and coated using hot melt coating technique. Coated tablets exhibited good uniformity of drug content. Amount of drug release from all batches were evaluated. Taste evaluation of hot melt coated tablets was done by using electronic tongue.PrecirolATO5 was found to be a better taste masking agent when used by hot melt coating technique. AbstrakKabupaten Rembang sedang mengembangkan pariwisata yang dimilikinya. Upaya berpromosi telah dilakukan oleh berbagai pihak, baik pihak pemerintah kabupaten Rembang, pegelola, hingga masyarakat. Namun, identitas visual yang telah digunakan belum memiliki keseragaman yang baik dalam penggunaan warna dan tipografi. identitas visual dan promosi pariwisata Kabupaten Rembang dalam periode Januari-Juli 2017 menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan di Rembang menggunakan metode observasi, studi pustaka, wawancara dan kuesioner serta analisis dilakukan dengan matriks perbandingan. Tujuan penelitian adalah meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap potensi wisata yang dimiliki Kabupaten Rembang. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini bahwa kabupaten Rembang dan potensi wisata yang ada memerlukan pembakuan identitas visual dan penerapannya pada media promosi yang sesuai agar dikenal masyarakat luas dan akan berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan daerah serta masyarakat Kabupaten Rembang. Kata kunci : wisata, Rembang, identitas visual, promosi  AbstractRembang Regency is developing its tourism. Promotion efforts have been made by various parties, both the district government of Rembang, the manager, until the community. However, the visual identity that has been used has not had a good uniformity in the use of color and typography. Visual identity and tourism promotion of Rembang Regency in the period from January to July 2017 become the focus of this research. The research was conducted in Rembang using observation method, literature study, interview and questionnaire and analysis was done with comparison matrix. The objective of the research is to increase public awareness of tourism potential owned by Rembang Regency. The results obtained from this study that Rembang district and the potential of existing tourism requires the visual identity recognition and its application to the appropriate promotional media to be known to the wider community and will have an impact on the increase of regional income and the community of Rembang Regency. Keywords: tourism, Rembang, visual identity, promotion
