The research featured a macroeconomic assessment of the quality of economic growth. The analysis was based on various environmental factors, obtained in the process of strategic environmental assessment of the developmental priorities of the Kemerovo region in 2002–2020. The research objective was to determine the effect of environmental factors on eco-intensity and economic growth in this resource-based region in the context of global and national environmental challenges. The paper presents an overview of the methods of ecological and economic analysis suitable for strategic environmental assessment. The study featured mathematical methods of calculating the economic eco-intensity and the decoupling effect, as well as the model of economic growth developed by P. Victor. The decoupling effect was rather weak for the main types of negative impact, i.e. pollution, waste generation, disturbed lands, etc. The only green decoupling effect was revealed by the volume of contaminated wastewater. P. Victor's extended model showed the predominance of "brown" economic growth, while the increase in the carbon intensity of the gross domestic product for methane coincided with the significant decrease in the economic development of the region. The article also introduces a forecast of the economic development of the Kemerovo region, based on global and national trends of decarbonization. Transition to the use of the best available technologies should reduce the level of eco-intensity and increase the rate of decarbonization, both in the main industries and in methane processing.

Abstract Using the tourism's carbon emission data of 30 provinces (cities) in China from 2007 to 2019, we have established a logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) model to identify the main driving factors of carbon emissions related to tourism and a Tapio decoupling model to analyze the decoupling relationship between tourism's carbon emissions and tourism-driven economic growth. Our analysis suggests that China's regional tourism's carbon emissions are growing significantly with marked differences across its regions. Although there are observed fluctuations in the decoupling relationship between regional tourism's carbon emissions and tourism-driven economic growth in China, the data suggest weak decoupling. Nonetheless, the degree of decoupling is rising to various extents across regions. Three of the five driving factors investigated are also found to affect on emissions. Both tourism scale and tourism consumption lead to the growth of tourism's carbon emissions, while energy intensity has a significant effect on reducing emissions. These effects differ across regions.

Abstract The article deals with the key aspects of theoretical justification and practical achievement of the decoupling effect in the field of agricultural production, which is manifested in the elimination of direct relationship between the final results’ growth of agricultural production and the increase in the level of natural resources’ consumption occurring in its process. It is proved that the possibility of practical achievement of the decoupling effect, especially in its absolute form, is provided on the basis of innovative solutions development of an eco-oriented direction within the framework of resource-saving paradigm implementation of the agricultural sector development.

Abstract The reduction of carbon intensity of the whole process of agricultural products logistics is of great significance to the comprehensive control of China's carbon intensity. LMDI decomposition method, STIRPAT model and quantitative decoupling analysis model are used to study the influencing factors, future development scenarios and decoupling effect with economic development of the whole process carbon intensity of agricultural products logistics in China from 2000 to 2017. The countermeasures and suggestions to reduce the carbon intensity of the whole process of agricultural products logistics in China are put forward based on the research results of influencing factors, scenario prediction and decoupling effect.

AbstractSmCo5 and SmCo5−xCux magnetic particles were produced by co-precipitation followed by reduction diffusion. HRTEM confirmed the Cu substitution in the SmCo5 lattice. Non-magnetic Cu was substituted at “2c” site in the SmCo5 crystal lattice and effectively stopped the coupling in its surroundings. This decoupling effect decreased magnetic moment from SmCo5 (12.86 μB) to SmCo4Cu (10.58 μB) and SmCo3Cu2 (7.79 μB) and enhanced anisotropy energy from SmCo5 (10.87 Mega erg/cm3) to SmCo4Cu (14.05 Mega erg/cm3) and SmCo3Cu2 (14.78 Mega erg/cm3). Enhancement of the anisotropy energy increased the coercivity as its values for SmCo5, SmCo4Cu and SmCo3Cu2 were recorded as 4.5, 5.97 and 6.99 kOe respectively. Being six times cheaper as compared to Co, substituted Cu reduced the price of SmCo3Cu2 up to 2%. Extra 15% Co was added which not only enhanced the Mr value but also reduced the 5% of the total cost because of additional weight added to the SmCo3Cu2. Method reported in this work is most energy efficient method on the synthesis of Sm–Co–Cu ternary alloys until now.

This article is devoted to the analysis of the factors aimed at ensuring the sustainability of development, as well as certain markers of the presence of the stable development of the Russian Federation regions. As part of the work, it is planned to analyze the relationship of digital development in the country and its effective effects for the process of interregional differentiation in modern conditions of a prolonged economic crisis, aggravated by an unfavorable epidemiological situation. In this case, particular importance should be given to the analysis of the ecological component as a factor that predetermines the possibility of the development and implementation of certain technologies. Due to the dynamic assessment of the decoupling effect, the differentiation of regions is assumed, the analysis of the tendency towards a decrease in the inconsistency of the development models of territories. Herewith, special attention is focused on the factor of a potential further decrease in differentiation based on an increase in the sustainability of economic and environmental development processes.

Based on the scientific calculation of agricultural carbon emissions in Henan Province, the Tapio decoupling model is used to analyze its relationship with economic development, and its driving factors are analyzed in combination with the LMDI model. The results show that the total amount of agricultural carbon emissions in Henan Province from 2010 to 2019 is on the rise, of which chemical fertilizers are the largest source of carbon emissions. The decoupling analysis shows that before 2019, the weak decoupling between agricultural carbon emissions and the total output value of the planting industry was mainly weak, and a strong decoupling state appeared for the first time in 2019. This means that the level of agricultural economic development is the main force driving the growth of carbon emissions.

One of the defining concepts in the process of studying the problems of ecological and economic interaction is increasingly so-called "decoupling", which implies the elimination of the contradiction between the possibilities of ensuring economic growth and reducing the level of environmental impact. The most important area of management, in which the achievement of decoupling effect is extremely important in terms of reducing the consumption of natural resources, is agricultural production. In this regard, the article assesses the level of resource decoupling in the agricultural sector of the Rostov region.
