Digitalization, new work and leisure concepts and global challenges are transforming the way we live. More stakeholders, including residents and entrepreneurs, actively participate in the implementation of alternative socio-economic concepts; as such, entrepreneurial ecosystems are seen as drivers of regional development. The research still lacks holistic approaches to the application of ecosystems in tourism destinations. Hence, the objectives of this article are to capture research on entrepreneurial ecosystems in tourism and, specifically, to derive a holistic model that integrates destination and location management across stakeholders. This research utilizes the method of a systematic literature review, starting with 597 articles on ecosystems. Following four stages of exploring the literature, the results show that most articles have been published in rather isolated fields of smart tourism or quality of life aspects. Based on the rather qualitative review that reveals specific ecosystem components, we propose a model of an “Ecosystem of Hospitality” (EoH). Focusing on stakeholder interaction and encounters, the EoH fosters the adoption of the entrepreneurial ecosystem to destinations in a dynamic approach. The practical implications are, for example, a broader consideration of various stakeholders, including the local population, and a switch in typical destination management tasks from mere tourism service production to regional development and living space management.

With the widespread application of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology in urban green space management system, the refinement of greening management puts forward the demand for upgrading the system. Taking the construction of urban green space management system in Wuxi as an example, this paper reverses the conventional operation of building database before system, and puts forward the method of management-oriented system upgrading. Through the research on the status quo of urban greening management, starting from the analysis of management requirements, the management requirements are transformed into system design requirements, so that the system upgrade is guided by the urban greening management requirements. It solves the problems of large amount of and time-consuming data input during the upgrading and construction of the system, which leads to long process and data lag when it is put into use. After the rapid upgrade, along with the refinement of daily management, the system has been continuously improved, and has received good results in the depth and breadth of data.

Cultural ecosystem services has been increasingly influential in both environmental research and policy decision-making, such as for urban green spaces However, its popular definition conflates the concepts of ‘services’ and ‘benefits’ which made it challenging for planners to employ it directly for urban green space management. One the most widely used definition of this non-tangible ecosystem services are “functions of environmental spaces and cultural activities which may then result in the enjoyment of cultural ecosystem benefits”; yet the latter itself have never found its way into official laws and regulations. In this study, via a case study in Singapore, we propose new evidence to re-evaluate and re-position the two of the most important emerging concepts in managing the green spaces in urban areas. Using the transdisciplinary mixed methods of public participation GIS and social media text mining analysis, a wealth of cultural ecosystem services and their associated benefits were reported. This was especially so with regards to recreational and aesthetic services and experiential benefits. Recommendations to improve the park were also suggested, alongside sharing of methodological considerations for future research. Overall, this paper recommends the employment of the redefined cultural ecosystem services conceptual framework to generate relational, data-driven and actionable insights to better support urban green space management, which is not only useful to Singapore governments but also world-wide relevant.

Urban open spaces of local natural environments can promote the health and well-being of both ecosystems and humans, and the management of the urban spaces can benefit from knowledge of individuals’/citizens’ perceptions of such environments. However, such knowledge is scarce and contemporary inquiries are often limited to cognitive observations and focused on built environmental elements rather than encouraged to recognize and communicate comprehensive perceptions. This paper investigates whether arts-based methods can facilitate recognition and understanding perceptions of urban open spaces. Two arts-based methods were used to capture perceptions: drifting, which is a walking method, and theatrical images, which is a still image method and three reflective methods to recognize and communicate the perceptions. The results show related sensations and perceptions enabled by arts-based methods comparing them to a sticker map method. The main findings were perceptions, which included information about human–environment interaction, about relations to other people and about ‘sense of place’ in urban open spaces. The hitherto unidentified perceptions about urban open space were associations, metaphors and memories. The methods used offer initial practical implications for future use.

Missing or compromised permanent molars can complicate orthodontic treatment planning and mechanics. Molar extraction should be considered in appropriate situations, but clinicians must decide between closing and regaining the edentulous space. Several factors should be taken into consideration to achieve appropriate molar space management, such as the need for space, asymmetry, periodontal status, sinus pneumatization, and the terminal molar position. Herein, three sample cases are reported to demonstrate the treatment options for molar space closure and maintenance with these factors taken into consideration during treatment planning. The understanding of mechanics played a crucial role in anchorage preparation and side effect prevention. If the third molar substitution was managed in advance and adequate space between the ramus and third molar was obtained via second molar protraction, the tooth spontaneously erupted in a favorable position without requiring further treatment. This case series can aid clinicians in molar space management. Regardless of whether the space is to be closed or regained, the treatment plan should conform to the patient’s expectations and improve occlusion with minimal side effects and treatment duration.

Introduction. The last two decades are signed with culture meaning increase as one of the strategic priorities of the social and economic development of the EU related to the consolidation of common cultural space, management of socio-cultural activities, and development of “European citizens” identity under cross-cultural dialogue. Currently, the critical enabler of this cultural policy is special programmes. The application of the main principles of these programmes in real has been the key instrument of the European regional policy for last years. Purpose and methods. The purpose of the article is to cover the main tendencies and areas of concern of the European cultural policy based on comparative analysis of the cultural programme of the second generation. In the course of the research, the author has used the comparative, sociological, structural and functional, activity and situational-critical methods, with the help of which the features of the functioning of the above programmes were characterised. Results. Today the EU cultural policy implementation is via the prolonged “Creative Europe Programme 2021-2027” which, in comparison with other cultural programmes, is more structured and differs in an integrated approach to the organisation of the socio-cultural sphere, has incorporated all the implemented cultural and media programmes over the previous 20 years. Conclusions. In the article, there is the first analysis of the difference between the selected programmes in the context of verifying the thesis about the continuity of the programme's principles of the EU cultural policy at the present stage, as well as the objective trend of turning cultural policy into one of the main directions of European domestic policy for the development of the socio-cultural sphere.

Abstract Along with the historical process of the industrial revolution, the automobile has undoubtedly made life more convenient. But at the same time, various problems also come along: Traffic jams are becoming more and more serious, and problems such as parking are becoming urgent problems. This design uses STC89C52 microcontroller, through the infrared sensor module to detect the information of the garage, then the nRF24L01 wireless module is used to carry out the wireless transmission of master and slave information. Finally, the LCD1602 LCD screen is used to establish the human-computer interaction page, and an intelligent parking space management system is designed. The owners can easily check the parking lot to understand the flow of the parking lot through the system, and judge whether to enter the parking lot, saving time. At the same time, it is easier to integrate with other intelligent systems, which provides a foundation for more advanced management and is the premise for making the parking lot a highly intelligent product in the future.

Abstract Open space has a vast benefit on human well-being and, at the same time serving environmental function. However, COVID 19 pandemics have shifted the pattern of open spaces visitation. This study aims to study visitation patterns to open spaces, evaluate facilities and management of open spaces to ensure visitors’ safety, and explore the COVID adaptive open space models in Banda Aceh during pandemics. This study is mixed-methods research that integrates both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis. The participants of this study are the doctors and nurses that worked in the COVID-19 ward in a general hospital in Banda Aceh. These participants were selected because they have sufficient knowledge of COVID-19 and have adapted their lifestyle after working at these special wards. The result shows shifting perceptions and preferences of respondents towards open spaces and the challenge of open space management adaptation during the COVID 19 situations. This paper also explores the safe open space model derived from the research result.
