Purpose This study aims to explore the use of evolutionary and institutionalization models to understand the technical progression of sustainability in political organizations and their contribution to sustainable effectiveness. It describes the evolution of mass media, political marketing, in the organization’s strategy and design and the methods it is using to institutionalize this political and transition change. Design/methodology/approach The study describes models of sustainability evolution and political and technical change, in political and social life in transition state Montenegro. Findings Online and internet presentations of political programs, political blogs, sites that promote the national history and culture of the desired perception – the achievements have already risen in Montenegro in the first decade of the new millennium and beyond. Internet presentation of political subjects are reduced mainly to a brief presentation of history and of political parties, and mostly during the current election campaign, serving to inform the public about the program and promotion announcements. Originality/value The findings of this study will help senior executives with responsibility for transition states. The aim of this paper is to show the transformation of the media during the transition period from one political system to another. With the use of descriptive methodological postulates and numerous case studies. With a wealth of facts and examples, which contributes to the originality and value of the article. The significance and originality of this research and article is reflected in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to the transition process and quantitative and qualitative development of the media.

Purpose This paper aims to present the personal narrative of an accounting academic, seeking to make sense of his transition change-response to online accounting education, through the thematic lens of the transition cycle of change. Design/methodology/approach The research approach falls under the umbrella term of autoethnography. An autoethnography is presented as a personal narrative that focused on a specific event in life. Findings The author found that gaining awareness of how resistance to change manifests itself in the early stages of transition allows us to move forward, rather than remaining “stuck in transition”. Furthermore, the author found that transition cycles can be looped; in other words, we find ourselves starting transition anew if circumstances change again. Thus, transition should not be seen as linear but cyclical. Practical implications This research could be useful to other accounting academics by fostering an awareness of individual change-responses during times of crisis, thereby enabling better self-management of change. For heads of accountancy academic departments, it is important to take note that change amidst crisis can sap morale and diminish work performance. The management of staff, and understanding their transition change-responses during crisis, is therefore critical to ensure that staff are navigated through change arising from crisis. Originality/value This paper answers the question what can we learn by understanding our transitional process of change by drawing on change theory? To this end, this paper presents and starts this conversation, through a personal narrative bringing to life the transitional change journey of an accounting academic during crisis. This study lays a foundation for further empirical and theoretical enquiry into accounting education change processes during crisis.

Thermal parameters of the [Formula: see text] compound were investigated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) method. Four different phases were identified in the temperature range of [Formula: see text]C. Thermodynamical parameters were determined for each phase transition. [Formula: see text] samples were irradiated by 167 MeV energy [Formula: see text]Xe ions at the [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] ion/cm2 intensities. The DSC analyses of the irradiated samples were carried out and determined that the temperature and thermodynamical parameters of the phase transition change in the [Formula: see text] compound under the influence of swift heavy ions. The change mechanism of the thermodynamical parameters has been determined depending on the irradiation doses.

This study investigated tumor-associated macrophages activity in the microenvironment of renal cell carcinoma. Via a co-culture with macrophage-like cells differentiated from human monocyte cell line THP-1 and U937 cells, the migration ability of ACHN and Caki-1 cells, which are human renal cell carcinoma cell line cells, was significantly increased, as was the epithelial–mesenchymal transition change. A chemokine array identified the CCL20-CCR6 axis as a concentration-dependent signal in ACHN and Caki-1 cell migration. Akt in the ACHN and Caki-1 cells was activated by macrophage-like cells, and the CCL20 neutralizing antibody suppressed migration ability, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and Akt phosphorylation in the ACHN and Caki-1 cells. Akt inhibitor AZD5363 also decreased the epithelial–mesenchymal transition change and migration ability in the ACHN and Caki-1 cells. In 42 renal cell carcinoma tissues, patients with CCR6 and macrophage infiltration indicated poor prognoses. In the tumor microenvironment of renal cell carcinoma, cancer cells are activated by CCL20 secreted by tumor-associated macrophages through Akt activation, followed by epithelial–mesenchymal transition and an acquired migration ability. Thus, inhibition of the CCL20-CCR6 axis may be a potential therapeutic strategy for renal cell carcinoma.

It is recognized that Change Management is a necessity in the current environment characterized by competitiveness and the desire for continuous innovation [3]. In order to answer these questions, the work begins with a secondary research of the different types of organizational change: change as development, change as transition, change as transformation, and then, by analyzing their particular characteristics, the risks associated with the process of change are identified the possible causes of possible implementation difficulties. Research results show that changing as a transition rarely involves adapting processes, existing tools, but rather replacing them with completely new ones (mergers, assignments, IT & C revolutions, etc.). One of the conclusions of this paper is that the success of a changing company depends not only on the way in which it is carried out, but also on the way it is maintained at the operational level during the change, so a complex management structure is needed. ensure the functionality of the company and supervise the change process.

PurposeDrawing on ethnographic research in selection of urban households in Providence County, Rhode Island, the purpose of this paper is to define uncertainty as an everyday experience embedded in material and social worlds and explore the relationship of uncertainty to creative improvisation and well-being.Design/methodology/approachThis research was anthropological and ethnographic, drawing on an everyday material culture approach to the home. Participant observation and interviews began in April 2015 and ended in April 2016. The data presented in derived from interview transcripts, field notes and photography.FindingsResponses to uncertainty are embedded in habits and practices that help sustain well-being. During uncertain periods marked by transition, change and disappointment, participants draw on domestic practices as well as narrative frameworks to foster stability. Security, well-being, uncertainty, and improvisation emerge as an important intersection in everyday life.Originality/valueThis paper offers a perspective on uncertainty at the intimate level of the home, helping nuance the difference between collective creative improvisation and the economic expectation of individual adaptability.

The rise in resistance and changes in the spectrum of Candida infections have generated enormous interest in developing new antifungal drugs using natural molecules such as plant essential oils (EOs). Antimicrobial activity against foodborne pathogenic and spoilage microorganisms has been reported for EOs. The goal of this study was to assess the effect of Mentha × piperita essential oil (EO) on C. albicans growth, transition (change from blastospore to hyphae forms), and biofilm formation as well as on the expression of certain virulent genes. We show that whole EO and its vapor attenuated the yeast’s growth, compared to that in the control. The effect of the EO was comparable to that of amphotericin-B (AmB). The EO and its vapor significantly decreased the morphological changes of C. albicans, reduced biofilm formation, and disrupted mature C. albicans biofilms. The effect produced by whole EO on biofilm formation/disruption was notably comparable to that observed with AmB. Exposure of C. albicans to EO and its vapor downregulated the expression of various genes, such as secreted aspartyl proteinases (SAP 1, 2, 3, 9, 10) and hyphal wall protein 1 (HWP1). Altogether, these results provide new insight into the efficacy of Mentha × piperita EO against C. albicans and suggest the potential of Mentha × piperita EO for use as an antifungal therapy in multiple applications.

This paper reports structural and electrical characteristics of F-doped [Formula: see text]V2O5 thin films of different F concentrations. The films were analyzed by X-ray diffraction. It was found that F-doping in vanadium pentoxide affects the crystallinity of the samples. The SEM images have shown that by increasing the F-doping level, the size of the nanobelt increases. Electrical measurements indicated that the F-doping in [Formula: see text]V2O5 makes the temperature of phase transition change from semiconductor to metallic phase.
