No Poverty is the top priority among 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research perspectives, methods, and subject integration of studies on poverty reduction have been greatly developed with the advance of practice in the 21st century. This paper analyses 2,459 papers on poverty reduction since 2000 using VOSviewer software and R language. Our conclusions show that (1) the 21st century has seen a sharp increase in publications of poverty reduction, especially the period from 2015 to date. (2) The divergence in research quantity and quality between China and Kenya is great. (3) Economic studies focus on inequality and growth, while environmental studies focus on protection and management mechanisms. (4) International cooperation is usually related to geographical location and conducted by developed countries with developing countries together. (5) Research on poverty reduction in different regions has specific sub-themes. Our findings provide an overview of the state of the research and suggest that there is a need to strengthen the integration of disciplines and pay attention to the contribution of marginal disciplines to poverty reduction research in the future.

It is common sense that it needs social and economic perspectives to understand structural changes in agriculture. The current study asserts that, likewise, the integration of the farm level (micro), the sectoral level (meso), and the societal level (macro) are needed to gain insight into the system of agricultural structures. Following a review of the literature, these three levels were integrated in a cycle in which the interdependencies between different units of analysis were evaluated. The study concludes that it enhances the understanding of structural change on each level if the other levels are also taken into account. It therefore contributes not only to the literature on agriculture, but also to the discussion about the rationale of an analytical meso-level between the analysis on micro- and macro-levels.

The article considers implementing the integrative approach in teaching English to students as the most important task that contributes to the development of professional competencies. A special place of the English language in the integration of disciplines is explained by the fact that it is in close relationship with the humanities and natural sciences. Such integration can be carried out at all stages of teaching a foreign language, both at the level of the entire training system and at the level of individual disciplines. Learning a foreign language in an integrated system allows to form a more holistic picture of the world in students, in which the foreign language is a means of cognition and communication. As a result of expanding the scope of knowledge, an opportunity is created for the formation and development of broader and more diverse interests of students, their inclinations and abilities. Teaching a foreign language should be carried out through integration, through “longread”, which is a format for presenting the material in a large volume, divided into parts, usually in a video or audio format. Learning English by means of “longread” improves the learning process and develops four types of speech activity: listening, speaking, reading, writing. This training format is good because it can be applied both at universities and at distant learning.

Abstract. Biogeochemistry has an important role to play in many environmental issues of current concern related to global change and air, water, and soil quality. However, reliable predictions and tangible implementation of solutions, offered by biogeochemistry, will need further integration of disciplines. Here, we refocus on how further developing and strengthening ties between biology, geology, chemistry, and social sciences will advance biogeochemistry through (1) better incorporation of mechanisms, including contemporary evolutionary adaptation, to predict changing biogeochemical cycles, and (2) implementing new and developing insights from social sciences to better understand how sustainable and equitable responses by society are achieved. The challenges for biogeochemists in the 21st century are formidable and will require both the capacity to respond fast to pressing issues (e.g., catastrophic weather events and pandemics) and intense collaboration with government officials, the public, and internationally funded programs. Keys to success will be the degree to which biogeochemistry can make biogeochemical knowledge more available to policy makers and educators about predicting future changes in the biosphere, on timescales from seasons to centuries, in response to climate change and other anthropogenic impacts. Biogeochemistry also has a place in facilitating sustainable and equitable responses by society.

Taking professional emphasis of disciplines as the benchmark, this paper takes diversified integration of disciplines as the train of thought and direction of teaching reform in higher education, and selects the specific color teaching in colleges and universities as its research object. Based on the analysis of the status and problems of color courses and the exploratory practice on the reform of color teaching in higher education, this paper, promoting the formation of an effective and complete system of education as the goal, puts forward ideas and methods on the teaching reform of color courses in colleges and universities, and makes an in-depth study and discussion on teaching from the guiding ideology, teaching contents and teaching methods. It is expected to provide valuable references for solving the problem of teaching’s incompatible with professional needs in colleges and universities and forming an effective and complete system of professional fundamental education.

Abstract This book provides practical information about interdisciplinary research, particularly to students and researchers of animal behaviour, animal welfare and veterinary sciences, to better understand how the integration of disciplines can advance animal welfare science. The book is divided into 2 parts. Part 1 gives guidance on how interdisciplinary research can advance animal welfare science. Part 2 touches on some of the major links between animal welfare and other disciplines and gives insight into the techniques and potential pitfalls that may occur when applying a certain discipline to animal welfare research.

In this article, we will consider the role of the English language in the formation of pedagogical creativity of future informatics teachers, we will focus on the integration of disciplines studied in the specialty “5B011100 – Informatics”. The formation of the pedagogical creativity of future informatics teachers in the process of teaching English is one of the problems that can be successfully solved provided that interdisciplinary relationships are implemented – computer science, pedagogy, and the English language.

The grotto rock mass is a type of cave structure, formed under the complex forces of environment, geology, and human interventions. Many scholars have carried out a lot of work in the protection of cultural relics. However, the research on detection and monitoring methods based on the parametric evolution system remains incomplete. In recent years, with the intersection and integration of disciplines, IoT (IoT: Internet of Things) systems and sensor technologies have developed rapidly. Under this background, a new monitoring system suitable for the protection of cultural relics was independently developed and applied to the protection and research work of Yuanjue rock cave, and the system was corrected and improved in practice. In this paper, according to the complex force characteristics of the sandstone roof of the Yuanjue rock cave at Dazu Rock Carvings and the geological conditions. Initially, a detailed survey of the geological conditions of the Yuanjue rock cave area was conducted; furthermore, according to the unique structural and load characteristics of the outer and inner surfaces of the roof, the monitoring methods and principles of each main control factor were explored, while the layout of monitoring points was optimized; finally, based on the microsensing technology, intelligent high-precision sensing hardware was installed and debugged for each main control factor, while the network was formed to form a multisource monitoring IoT system for the roof stability of the circular sense hole. After nearly half a year of continuous monitoring, the deformation and denudation rules of the roof of Yuanjue Cave were revealed, and a new approach of evaluating roof stability was proposed. This research provided technical support and research ideas for monitoring the stability of similar cultural relics.
