Theoretical and experimental studies to substantiate the choice of a manipulator for a harvester are presented. A mathematical model of the harvester's operation has been developed based on natural and production-technological factors, as well as the characteristics of the machine base and the harvester head. The characteristics of the manipulator have been substantiated, in particular, the maximum reach and load moment of the manipulator for the given parameters of the base machine and the selected harvester head. When choosing a manipulator, it is recommended to proceed from the fact that some part of large trees can be left in the cutting area or dumped with chainsaws. It has been established that the manipulator boom reach within the range from 8 to 11 m has little effect on the volume and number of harvested trees. The percentage of the harvested volume of wood depends little on the boom reach of the manipulator and remains at least 90 %.

Problem urgency. To improve the efficiency of road construction machines, especially in high altitude conditions, has been proposed a new design of a bulldozer-loader with transforming working equipment. Purpose. Methodology development to determine the mass of proposed working body, i.e. the mass of bucket, excluding the mass of material that may be in the bucket. Methods. Analyzed one of the main elements of the working body - the bucket. Further, using the formulas for determining the volume, we encountered that the lateral surface has a complex configuration, i.e. there are no clearly defined parameters like length and width. Results. Obtained the dependence (mathematical model) for determining the mass of the bucket, which is easily used in the process of automatic calculation. As a result, reflected the main parameters, that influence to the indicators of reliability, durability of the metal structure and increase its operational properties and productivity. Conclusions. According of dependence, by varying the parameters, it is possible to easily optimize the bucket volume without changing other parameters. Also, substituting the values into the dependence, it is possible to optimize the lifting capacity, productivity and other necessary parameters for the design of the working body and the base machine.

High rates of growth in the volume of earthworks in winter, with a lack of funds for the purchase of new equipment, determine the relevance of work to improve the existing and create new working bodies for the development of frozen grounds and snow-ice formations to increase the efficiency of their destruction without increasing the power of the base machine. This can be done by installing a fundamentally new cutting tool in the form of elliptical circular knives on the working bodies. The article deals with the kinematics of an ellipsoidal disk working body. Expressions for determining the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the point of the cutting edge of the disk are obtained analytically. It was found that the points of the cutting edge of the disk move in space along a complex trajectory, and the absolute values of velocity and acceleration are variable parameters. The regularity of the change in the angle of entry of the disk into the ground at different values of the angle of its attachment to the shaft of the working battery was revealed, and the main design and technological parameters were determined and substantiated.

The paper presents general theory about making small models for studying large machines. Here, the author refers to the design of pile driving and pressing machines. To express ideas, the author presents design drawings presented in three-dimensional perspective. Currently, pile drivers and pile presses are two separate machines, in which their base machine is the same, their working parts are slightly different. The author takes advantage of the slight differences to combine them into one machine, so as to ensure that this machine is able to pile or pile. In addition, the structure of pile making and pressing machines is created by the author, which is somewhat simpler than the current construction and driving machine. This successful study will form the basis for manufacturing a pile driving machine and pile machine into a single machine, greatly reducing the costs of procurement and construction machine use.

In the present digital world malware is the most potent weapon. Malware, especially ransomware, is used in security breaches on a large scale which leads to huge losses in terms of money and critical information for big firms and government organisations. In order to counter the future ransomware attacks it is necessary to carry out a forensic analysis of the malware. This experiment proposes a manual method for dynamic malware analysis so that security researchers or malware analyst can easily understand the behaviour of the ransomware and implement a better solution for reducing the risk of malware attack in future. For doing this experiment Volatility, Regshot and FTK Imager Lite Forensics toolkit were used in a virtual and safe environment. The forensic analysis of a Ransomware is done in a virtual setup to prevent any infection to the base machine and carry out detailed analysis of the behaviour of the malware under different conditions. Malware analysis is important because the behavioral analysis helps in developing better mitigation techniques thereby reducing infection risks. The research can prove effective in development of a ransomware decryptor which can be used to recover data after an attack has encrypted the files.

The article presents theoretical and experimental studies for choosing a manipulator for a harvester taking into account of natural and technological aspects of sustainable development of the forest complex. A mathematical model of the harvester operation is developed based on natural and technological factors, as well as the characteristics of the machine base and the harvester head. Experimental results allow us to determine the rational characteristics of the manipulator for Siberia region of Russia, in particular, the permissible overturn and load moments of the manipulator for the specified characteristics of the base machine and the selected harvesting head. The maximum outreach of the manipulator’s boom in the range from 8000 to 11000 mm has little effect on the volume and number of harvested trees. The percentage of harvested wood volume almost does not depend on the maximum manipulator boom outreach and remains within at least 85%.

According to National Forest Inventory data, there is an urgent need for tending seedling stands of at least 700,000 ha and a need for 1 million ha in the next few years in Finland. The motivation for forest owners to conduct pre-commercial silvicultural operations is low due to the associated high costs. Especially the costs of tending and clearing operations after the regeneration of the stand have been increasing. In addition, the availability of labor is a restricting factor due to the high seasonality of silvicultural works. In the 2000s, several solutions for the mechanization of tending have been proposed. These are based on the use of harvester or a forwarder as a base machine. Typically, light weight base machines are favored to reduce the hourly cost of operations and the impacts on the remaining seedlings. There have been challenges with the high speed of the cutting device, which increases the risk of damages to the head and the ignition of forest fires when the circular saw or chain hits stones, for example. In addition, the chain can become dislocated due to bending forces caused by stumps. Cutlink has presented a low RPM solution based on rotating cone-shaped shears that cut 50–100 cm wide corridors between and around seedlings. In this study, the productivity of mechanized tending with Cutlink´s device compared to manual tending was evaluated in spruce seedling stands in central Finland. The productivity, fuel consumption and quality of the seedling stand after the operation were measured. In early tending, the productivity of motor manual tending was notably better than when using the Cutlink device. Crucial factors for the competitiveness of a mechanized alternative include the annual working hours and finding suitable working areas for the machine. Additional work for the device and base machine can also be found in the clearing of forest road sides.

Abstract Many different classification algorithms can be use in order to analyze, classify and predict data. Learning classifier system (LCS) which is known as a genetic base machine learning system, combines the machine learning with evolutionary computing and other heuristics to produce an adaptive system that learns to solve a particular problem. This paper uses the Michigan style LCS, in the context of bank customer satisfaction to classify customers into two different groups: unsatisfied/satisfied customers. Three different Rule Compaction strategies are used to compare the rule population’s accuracy and micro/macro population size. The result specifies features that mostly influence prediction.

A comparative analysis of the main types of power equipment and transmissions of drives for running equipment for quarry vehicles was performed. The interrelations of the constructive schemes of drives of running equipment with traction class and carrying capacity of quarry vehicles are shown. Dependence of diesel engine power on air temperature and atmospheric pressure is revealed. An analysis of design schemes of transmissions of running equipment is given. Based on the evaluation of the design schemes, the directions for improving the drives of running equipment for quarry vehicles are given. As a result of the analysis of various types of drives and power equipment, it was revealed that when assembling the base machine, an individual approach should be applied.
