Bringing benefit and repelling harm is one of the main objectives embedded in the divine law of Shariah. The law of Shariah came in its entirety for the preservation of fundamental principles of Allah on the creation such as the five maqāsid al-shari‘ah principles. Since the dawn of the scientific revolution, genetic engineering has triggered several debates at different levels among the stakeholders. Clearly, there are opinions between the process of transformation and mere transmutation of the substance, some of which are subject to consensus and some differs. This study aims to analyze the juristic implication of the permissibility of using gelatin extracted from pig parts in the pharmaceutical industry. The study adopted the inductive approach to collect the information recorded in contemporary literature in this regard and then followed by a comparative analytical study to highlight the agreed and disagreed facts between Shariah sources and other sciences. The most important note is that in the event of a choice, consuming foods and drinks containing pork gelatin is not permissible. By the same analogy, the capsulated medicines cannot be taken, and this study is purely for the case when it is necessary and there is no alternative.

Abstract Background Disseminated Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) infection occurs in 20-40% of patients with < 50 CD4/mm3. Data describing central nervous MAC involvement (CNS-MAC) in disseminated infection is scarce. Methods We conducted a retrospective case series in the outpatient infectious diseases clinic in the hospital “Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzales” in Mexico City. We reviewed all records from October 2020 to May 2021 and identified all culture proven MAC infections. Results We found 7 cases of MAC, with disseminated infection (positive bone marrow cultures) with 3 out of those 7 meeting our definition for CNS-MAC (positive cerebrospinal fluid culture). All cases of CNS-MAC infection occurred in patients with < 50 CD4/mm3 and recent HIV diagnosis (1-4 months) that were referred to our institution with consumptive syndrome and fevers. All patients were receiving antiretroviral treatment (ART) with BIC/FTC/TAF and initiated ART in less than 1 month since HIV diagnosis. Opportunistic infections were ruled-out at the moment of CNS-MAC diagnosis (criptococcal meningitis, cytomegalovirus retinitis, tuberculosis and histoplasmosis). All patients exhibited non-specific neurologic symptoms at arrival (headache and bradipsiquia) mixed with more severe symptoms (one case of ataxia, one case of vertigo, one case of III nerve palsy). All patients were treated with Clarithromycin/Levofloxacin/Ethambutol. Two patients achieved symptom remission and 1 patient was lost to follow-up. Of important note, all CSF analysis and CNS imaging studies carried-out were normal. No MAC bacilli were identified with direct Ziel-Neelsen staining of CSF. Conclusion We found a high proportion of CNS-MAC in patients with disseminated MAC infection (42.8%) during the study period. All patients presented CNS symptoms and normal CSF characteristics. In our setting, patients with suspected disseminated MAC infection CD4 counts < 50 cells/mm3 might represent a specific population that could benefit from routine targeted diagnostic test at presentation in order to establish CNS involvement. The high rate of divorce, especially in West Sumatra, is an important note for religious extension workers to increase their role and quality in providing counseling. Therefore, fast and progressive action is needed to overcome this. Another phenomenon revealed from the above data is that the divorce case is dominated by the wife's lawsuit. Therefore, it takes the role of religious counselors at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) to increase family resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of religious instructors in increasing family resilience in the city of Padang from physical, social, and psychological aspects. Data collection techniques used interviews and were analyzed with the Miles and Huberman models following the stages of data reduction, data display, conclusion. The role of religious counselors in increasing family resilience has been carried out quite well, although not yet maximized because the raw materials are not yet available, the methods used are only advice and lectures and have not been evaluated continuously.

The misconception in mastering physics concepts occurs in basic physics and is also found in advanced physics, such as Modern Physics or Quantum Physics. Efforts to remediate misconceptions have been done manually or offline but are often constrained at too long an interval between identification activities and remediation actions. Through the advancement of online learning systems, E-learning media, these obstacles can easily be overcome. This article will discuss one way of remediation using Moodle-based E-Learning modules. A total of 2 classes (45 students) were randomly selected for the experimental group and two classes (64 students) for the control group. The experimental group used a representative module based on E-Learning as a remediation treatment, while the control group used a conventional module. The results of the validation of the material and the design of the E-Learning modules were obtained as very feasible to use. Data collection uses a two-tier Modern Physic Diagnostic Test or MPDT (Modern Physic Diagnostic Test) of 30 items combined with the CRI (Certainty of Response Index) index. It is carried out twice, namely before and after treatment. The N-Gain normality analysis results showed the percentage of misconception reduction was more significant in the experimental group than in the control group. Important note obtained by implementing E-Learning is more appropriate to be used simultaneously between conventional face-to-face and E-Learning.

This research is motivated by the performance of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) in overseeing Sharia Banks, due to the large number of branches and cash offices owned by Islamic banks, while the number of DPS in overseeing Islamic Banks is very limited. The results of the function of supervising products had been carried out well. Supervision of published product practices, DPS supervises from the initial product being published until the product is operational, such as making an opinion until the product is implemented. While the effectiveness is fairly effective, because DPS is consistent in maintaining sharia compliance and the established rules are supported by an area of supervision that can still be reached because it only has 2 branch offices and 10 cash offices. Nevertheless, DPS in BPRS Bumi Rinjani Kepanjen still has weaknesses. This weakness is essentially not in violation of existing regulations. It's just an important note that existence still needs to be improved, and developed.

Yogyakarta is one of city in Indonesia which experience urban agglomeration called by Yogyakarta Urbanized Area (YUA). In this paper, identified the characters of each part of YUA by examining its urban form unit. This paper assesses the characteristics of urban forms distributed within YUA. Quantitative measurements were proposed for classifying the urban form typologies. Density, diversity, and accessibility were used to represent the urban form characteristic., the typologies are classified into three groups which are low compact, middle compact, and high compact. The result shows that the majority areas in YUA are grouped into middle compact typology where most of them are located in the city of Yogyakarta administrative area. Meanwhile, the areas, categorized as low compact typology, are in the hinterland area of Yogyakarta. High compact typology are concentrated in the centre of YUA where it has the highest activity concentration for the whole urban structure context. This study discovers that characterizing the urban growth patterns using quantitative method can distinguish urban form. At the end, this paper provides an important note about the distribution of urban form typology in the agglomeration area and, in the future, can be used to design urban policies, especially in the utilization of urban space.
