Is true friendship possible on Facebook? A study from the psychological perspective of Laín Entralgo

The present work aims to analyse the meaning of the concept of friendship through the study of the work of the doctor and philosopher Pedro Laín Entralgo. The initial hypothesis of the study is that the concept of friendship has been used instrumentally by social media networks, and that these do not offer the conditions necessary to fully experience true friendship. To verify this, we focused on the study of the psychological dimensions of friendship proposed by the author, identifying a series of variables and conducting an analysis by means of a survey of university students who are active users of the platform. With these results the descriptive statistics were extracted and a nonparametric analysis was performed of the variables to determine if Facebook does in fact offer the conditions necessary for to experience true friendship in its psychological dimensions. As the results show, to experience true friendship on social networks is difficult, given that the nature of the interactions between users of the platform are not appropriate for this experience. In calling this different type of relationship friendship Facebook benefits from an attractive hook which leads users to generate contacts as a form of currency which benefits the business model of the social media platform. The concept of true friendship is altered, deformed and displaced in favour of other types of relationships.

Perspnages like Rustaveli’s in a biographical novel (Rostom Chkheidze’s ‘Son of music’, ‘Days of storm’- cronicle of Merab Kostava’s life)

In the article a summary account and ideological meaning in the title of the biographical novel and in general allusive style of Rostom Chkheidze’s biographical novels is underlined. The author is drawing a parallel between ‘ The Knight in the Panther’s Skin’ Tariel-Avtandil and Zviad-Merab, people of the 20-th century. (A real face of Avtandil-Tariel, their life style, knightly friendship is shown). By telling above mentioned novel in artistic and publicistic way the etimology each of the names is proved to make clear the research question, which leads to the main point. From the aesthetics of the title ‘Sons of music’ and ‘Days of storm’ the author links the way of Zviadi’s life to the highest art, eucharist and struggle against dictatorial regime, fight for the health of the nation’s conscious and soul. It is significant that documental materials in the novel are shown with amazing frankness. For true attitude, creativity and originality each passage is convincing. The reader shares the true friendship of these two special friends who managed to face the challenges in Georgia where the soviet darkness and arrogance of national movement was rising. Artistic peculiarity of the work is that it guides you to informatical awareness through the deep lays of literature, music, politics and tells you everything with refined sequence. It is the method chosen by Rostom Chkheidze. This thick book carries true knightly friendship of Merab Kostava and Zviad Gamsakhurdia who where brought by fate on ruds of Konstantine Gamsakhurdia in Colchic tower. They were similar to Rustaveli’s personages, the way of struggling with evil was chosen by them in the same way.

From humanitas to amicitia

The article aims to investigate Cicero’s epistle Fam. 15.21 (46 BC), which is addressed to Trebonius, a former colleague of him and now a lieutenant of Caesar, and deals with the oratory of Calvus, an Atticist (and Catullus’ best friend), to whom Cicero had given praise and rhetorical advice in a previous letter. Cicero shows affection to Trebonius, and care to Calvus, although they weren’t quite friends of him and belonged to different parties, both in politics and oratory. An examination of the text from the point of view of form and content shows here a double example of humanitas both as benevolence (philantrophia) and as an intellectual and didactic approach (paideia). It seems the prelude to a true friendship (which is also the theme of a future dialogue of Cicero), maybe with further effects (Trebonius will participate in the conspiracy against Caesar). Moreover, several allusions and some playful situations related to the letter (such as the gift of a book containing Cicero’s jokes) recalls Catullus’ poems to his friends (above all to Calvus), confirming the idea of ​​a literary contact between the poeta novus and the orator. The result is an intertwining of personal and cultural relationships between personalities who are traditionally believed to be on opposite sides, but are closer than one might think in Cicero’s correspondence.

Both countries have cooperated in various fields i.e. economic, political, defence and cultural etc. This research focused on the economic relationship between both states during the first two decades of the 21st century. In this research, it is tried to find out and present the positive and negative points of these relations. Research briefly described the gradual improvement in bilateral relations. The depth of friendship can be determined by the Chinese statement when they declared Pakistan as dear as Israel for the United States. Recently, the most important project CPEC has diverted all the attention of global politics and geopolitics and it is being called the game-changer in the region. This research is qualitative and would base upon interviews, books and articles to reach on a conclusion and bring out a clear picture of the advantages and even disadvantages of various projects advanced by China in Pakistan. This article focuses on the theme of collaboration and friendship lived and experienced in Widya Sasana School of Philosophy and Theology to respond the challenges of the times. The methodology applied is analysis of historical moments without going into the details of the events based on the original documents of foundation of the campus. The goal of study is to analize how friendship and collaboration have shaped and built up this campus. STFT Widya Sasana is metaphorically like a ship that has to continue to sail across the ocean of educational challenges from time to time. This historiographical analysis study found that true friendship needs to prioritize missionary, collaborative, dialogical, accountable and sustainable characters for the priestly education in such a way that the alumni be able to respond to the challenges of the times.

Friendship is not something new in human life. It has existed since man existed in the world with others. Awareness of self and other creations encourages man to build friendship. Many philosophers and theologians have had ideas about the meaning of friendship. With friendship, our life becomes meaningful. The Scriptures also give the meaning of true friendship to human being. Therefore, friendship is a very essential thing in human life. True friendship needs to be based on love, trust, sincerity, sacrifice, kindness, and so on. Friendship itself must be born from the soul. A soul that is ready to give the best for friends. The friendships built by people are often fragile and vulnerable to break up. True friendship will not be eroded by time and distance. It will last forever when a soul is united in it. The Church is a community built by Jesus. The Church is born of friendship. Jesus gathers His friends at one Eucharistic table.

SYSTEM OF INTERPRETATION OF FRIENDLY RELATIONS IN EARLY YOUNG AGE IN THE AGE OF CHANGE

The article explores the peculiarities of understanding and attitude to the phenomenon of friendship of young people. It is revealed that, as a whole, the researchers understand the value of friendship and strive for true friendship. It is determined that the vast majority of those interviewed have and care for friends. It is established that some young men tend to be uncritically perceived by their friends. It is revealed that the data obtained allow further educational influence on young people in order to form a true understanding of their friendly relations. Friendship between people not only helps to solve deep human problems, but also opens up new opportunities for more effective influence on the individual. It leads to the development of humanistic values of the individual, is one of the regulators of relations between people, expressing their desire to provide help and support to other people and to receive from others positive emotions and necessary help in solving personal issues. Friendship is taken seriously by young men, they understand and realize the full significance of this feeling in a person's life. Almost all of the students we interviewed want to be friends, understanding the complexity and responsibility of a friendly relationship, and they are ready to learn to be true friends. At the same time, our research revealed the lack of maturity of the judgments of some young men, who are just ready to obey their friends unconditionally, so as not to lose them. and the position and value of friendship in general.
