CNN-based Martian rock image processing has attracted much attention in Mars missions lately, since it can help planetary rover autonomously recognize and collect high value science targets. However, due to the difficulty of Martian rock image acquisition, the accuracy of the processing model is affected. In this paper, we introduce a new dataset called “GMSRI” that is a mixture of real Mars images and synthetic counterparts which are generated by GAN. GMSRI aims to provide a set of Martian rock images sorted by the texture and spatial structure of rocks. This paper offers a detailed analysis of GMSRI in its current state: Five sub-trees with 28 leaf nodes and 30,000 images in total. We show that GMSRI is much larger in scale and diversity than the current same kinds of datasets. Constructing such a database is a challenging task, and we describe the data collection, selection and generation processes carefully in this paper. Moreover, we evaluate the effectiveness of the GMSRI by an image super-resolution task. We hope that the scale, diversity and hierarchical structure of GMSRI can offer opportunities to researchers in the Mars exploration community and beyond.

Information is very important and required in almost all areas and fields. It is close to some of the areas viz. Data, Content and Knowledge. The system is also another concept that deals with the group of interrelated and connected entities, objects, tools, or facets. In other words, combinations of some subsystems are called Systems. Therefore, Systems in respect of the Information is called Information Systems. Information Systems is the way, tools, connected entities that are dedicated or responsible for the information related activities ranging from the collection, selection, organization, processing, management and dissemination. There are different contexts regarding Information Systems, in some contexts, it is also the electronic systems dedicated to information management and delivery to the organizations, institutions. In some contexts, it is the Computational way to preserve and deliver content and information. Information Systems in another context are the apex controlling mechanism of some of the divisional information systems such as Executive Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, etc. which helps in Information related activities to the organizations. Even Information System is also considered as a branch or field of study internationally. This paper is a theoretical one and mentioned the aspects of systems including their foundations, applications of systems, information systems including their foundation, types, nature, and emerging characteristics. The paper also highlights the academic availability and potentiality of Information Systems.

PurposeThere have been many challenges in crawling deep web by search engines due to their proprietary nature or dynamic content. Distributed Information Retrieval (DIR) tries to solve these problems by providing a unified searchable interface to these databases. Since a DIR must search across many databases, selecting a specific database to search against the user query is challenging. The challenge can be solved if the past queries of the users are considered in selecting collections to search in combination with word embedding techniques. Combining these would aid the best performing collection selection method to speed up retrieval performance of DIR solutions.Design/methodology/approachThe authors propose a collection selection model based on word embedding using Word2Vec approach that learns the similarity between the current and past queries. They used the cosine and transformed cosine similarity models in computing the similarities among queries. The experiment is conducted using three standard TREC testbeds created for federated search.FindingsThe results show significant improvements over the baseline models.Originality/valueAlthough the lexical matching models for collection selection using similarity based on past queries exist, to the best our knowledge, the proposed work is the first of its kind that uses word embedding for collection selection by learning from past queries.

Radical right-wing parties often use the attack on feminism as a central argument in their political discourse. The Spanish political party Vox, born in 2013, is a good example of this phenomenon. This paper analyzes Vox’s Instagram posts for the party’s two last electoral campaigns previous to the two successive general elections held in Spain in 2019. After the collection, selection and quantification of these data, we carried out a qualitative analysis of the semantic networks created through the utilization of images, videos, texts, interactions, hashtags and emojis. Our findings identify five fundamental arguments: classic gender nationalism, anti-Muslim gender nationalism, delegitimization and ridicule of feminism, discrediting the concept of gender, and the idea that Vox is, in fact, the party that most advocates for women. An outstanding discursive strategy used throughout the sample is that of contrast and association. Signifiers with a strong positive signified and broad social acceptance (euphoric terms) are associated with this party and its political positions. In contrast, negatively charged signifiers and hate-instigating terms (dysphoric) are associated with feminism and the so-called “gender ideology.”

The article presents results of comparative assessment of productivity and tribal qualities of six breeds of turkeys at the gene pool economy selection and genetic center «North Caucasus Zonal Poultry Experimental Station» and populations of blue and red turkeys. Among the studied breeds best egg production for primary and middle layers ащк 20 weeks of productive period is noted in silver North Caucasian breed: 50,33 and 64,10 eggs respectively, at intensity 45,19%. For the turkeys of the new gene pool this indicator was more in blue turkeys – 49,32 and 59,28 eggs for primary and middle layers respectively. The highest egg mass was marked in white North Caucasian turkeys – 82,7 g, with Haugh Units (HU) highest value and form index – Uzbek pale yellow breed – 83,6; 69,3% respectively. Thus, we can conclude that selection with domestic breeds of turkeys in centre of collective usage Bioresource breeds collection Selection and Genetic Center «North Caucasus Zonal Poultry Experimental Station» is conducted up to the mark; breeds are preserved and rationally used depending on the tasks. Silver turkeys of the North Caucasian breed and blue turkeys of the new gene pool possessed the best productive qualities.

Objective: To analyse the academic and professional career of the first woman to join the Corps of Archivists, Librarians and Archaeologists: Ángela García Rives. Methodology: Documentary research based on a systematic and sequential process of collection, selection, organization and analysis of primary and secondary sources on the person under study, drawing on the material available at the Spanish Archive Portal (PARES) and, by extension, from her personal files at the General Archive of the Administration (AGA). Results: There are numerous records of the achievements of male figures in all professional fields. Efforts are currently being made to put the spotlight on the stories of female lives that have been neglected or disparaged. These biographies are often limited to specific cases that are systematically repeated, thus creating the idea that they are exceptions to the general rule; and in certain areas of knowledge their presence is particularly scarce. Although Ángela García Rives is a historical figure, well known in the area of Library Science and Documentation as the first woman to join the Corps of Archivists, Librarians and Archaeologists, the results of our research show that many details regarding her life remain unknown. The main contribution of this study is the compilation and analysis of documentary evidence on her academic and professional career.

Contemporary civilisation has an obsession for consuming more and more goods. This, combined with the packaging habbits of suppliers, results in the emergence of increasingly large amounts of waste in Poland. The collection, selection and utilisation of this waste are becoming more and more significant, expensive and logistically complicated problems. In Poland, municipal utilities enterprises are responsible for solving these problems. However, as the space occupied by the collection, storage and disposal of waste is becoming larger, architects and urban planners should also consider being involved in providing solutions. This article presents figures and legal regulations related to the subject of municipal waste management in Poland. They are correlated with the methods of selective waste collection in Polish housing estates. Scientific research that was performed in housing estates is also presented; this research was aimed at checking the quality of existing urban and architectural solutions for municipal waste collection points. The article moves on to present good practices – examples of beneficial solutions for selective waste collection in selected European countries, such as Sweden and Italy. In order to carry out preliminary analyses of how to solve the functional and aesthetic issues related to housing waste collection points as part of the didactic classes at the Faculty of Architecture, of SUT, research exercises were conducted on the subject of developing a concept for new containers in a housing estate. Based on the received work (65 drawings) elements can be noticed that students most often paid attention to. Based on the conducted research and analysis, conclusions were reached regarding the methods of aestheticisation of district selective waste collection points and fundamental problems related to their design.
