Abstract The article proposes the method of intellectualization workshop’s manufacturing system. The digital technology is widely developed today so intellectualization of manufacturing system is relevant today. The use of AMT-supported manufacturing process in manufacturing system contributes to obtaining advantages in material and financial terms and reducing the cost of time resources.The use of automation technology in workshop process assumes cutbacks to its funding and ensures its digitalization. The digitalization is aimed at eliminating production errors and shortcomings already at the design stage of the production process. In consequence of this technological defects of products are reduced and the technological process is well organized. The use of an innovative approach to the development of the technological process of manufacturing products allows reducing time resources and increasing technical efficiency. Actualization of the suggested approach provided with system of computer-aided planning multiproduct technologic process. This system is developed by the authors and aimed at planning the intelligent product campaign. The presented algorithmic and software support for the formation of a rational set of control-and-measuring tools provides the development of a rational technological process for manufacturing a product and automation of the production’s technological preparation.

Technologies of automated laying out of fibers (Automated Fiber Placement — AFP) and tapes (Automated Tape Laying — ATL) are used in the manufacture of blanks from polymer composite materials (PCM) for subsequent autoclave or other type of molding. The frequency of defect formation upon laying depends on the complexity of the certain part and the technological parameters (the tape width, speed of laying and idle time, temperature, deviations from the calculated trajectory, etc.). We present a review of the main defects thus formed along with the analysis of the reasons for their appearance and their effect on the physical and mechanical properties of composite materials. It is shown that the defects change the thickness and reduce the strength of the PCM under tension and compression. Moreover, the inaccuracy of fiber placement when using the AFP technology has a negative effect on the quality of the materials. The results presented can be used in the further study of the effect of defects on the PCM properties and reasons for defect formation, as well as in developing promising universal computational program that can provide reduction of the number of corresponding experimental tests.

Features of the defect class “scratches, attritions, lines”, their geometric structure, and their causes are analyzed. An approach is developed that defines subclasses within this class of technological defects based on additional analysis of morphological features. The analysis of the reasons for these subclasses allows additional information to be obtained about the rolling process, identifying additional signs of defects, regulating the rolling conditions of steel strips more accurately, and diagnosing the equipment condition.

In livestock, biosecurity, animal welfare and meat quality have a synergetic effect on the final product. To meet minimal safety and humane production, it is necessary to consider biosecurity risks and procedures to mitigate animal welfare problems. Following guidelines to achieve it, the meat quality improves consequently. Here we tested two parameters regarding the meat quality of beef cattle to understand how the poor inspection affects the quality of the final product. Therefore, 12 samples of the longissimus dorsi muscle were evaluated from different butcheries, using fresh meat recently received by the supplier. There were no sanitary inspection records related to the sampled meat. The results showed a large percentage of PSE (pale, soft, and exudative) and DFD (dark, firm, and dry) meats. Given the pH and color values, it is concluded that the slaughtering was not carried out properly. Hence, technological defects in the meat were observed, making it inappropriate for consumption. We concluded that inefficient pre-slaughter handling is compromising animal welfare, increasing the biosecurity risk, and impairing the quality of the final product. We argue that these problems not only decrease the sustainability of livestock systems, but also compromises human health. Currently, livestock plays an important role in global environmental concerns, such as climate change, land degradation, water pollution and biodiversity loss. Then, it is needed to reduce the waste of such products.

Introduction. Grain harvesters are used for no more than two months within a year. They must have maximum operating reliability, since even short downtime during the harvesting period result in large crop losses. The purpose of the study is to identify the causes of combine harvester failures within the warranty period. Materials and Methods. Identifying consequences of failures and ensuring the reliability of grain harvesters are based on an improved classification of failures. In the process of studying, there have been proposed the ways to solve the problem of combine harvester downtime based on the analysis of the time for grain harvester troubleshooting. The category of severity of failure consequences was taken into account. Results. Through monitoring in the period from 2018 to 2020, there were found failures of units and systems of grain harvesters with low reliability indexes within the warranty period. Most of the failures (59.2%) were found in Russian-manufactured combines, of which operational failures are 55.9%, structural failures – 26.7%, and production failures – 17.4%. The general patterns of changes in the average time for combine troubleshooting have been determined. A geometric model of a detail for the trouble-free operation of combines (header auger shaft) was created. The finite element analysis (ANSYS) was used to identify parts, which are subject to maximum workload. There have been identified units and parts, which fail to function within the warranty period, because of design and technological defects. Discussion and Conclusion. In order to reduce the time to find the consequences of failures, it is necessary to create a more extensive network of enterprises providing a wide range of services, improve the organization of technical service and expand direct links with the manufacturers of equipment in order to respond quickly and make the necessary design and technological decisions.

Aspects of thread manufacturing used in downhole rod pumps are considered. Technological defects of distortion of lateral surfaces of a thread profile arising in the course of processing on CNC machines are described, and the factors which most influence formation of these defects are established. The influence of profile defects on the reliability of the threaded connection during the operation of rod pumps is analyzed, as well as the research on the dynamics and oscillations of machine systems is analyzed. With the performed analysis the mathematical model of real technological system in the course of machining process is created and investigated. The main technological factors that have the greatest influence on the occurrence of error in the shape of the thread surface are identified. With the help of software for analysis of dynamic systems, the necessarily calculations were performed and the behavior of the dynamic system in the process of forming the thread profile was considered. Based on the analysis of the obtained results, a system for managing the parameters of the technological process of threading and technological solutions formulated. The introduction of which had a positive impact on the stability of the machining process and reduce the frequency of the above defect.

In recent years, the global demand for finished fish products is increased. Aquaculture raw materials are a rich source of nutrients for health. At the same time a large amount of fished fish raw materials are rejected and representing a losses. High-quality raw materials with technological defects are not in demand by the food production of fish products. Perishable substandard fish raw materials can be used in the production of combined fish products. The analysis of the fish catches global scale in the seas, oceans, farmed marine and freshwater aquaculture is carried out. An assessment of the market trends for the production and fish products consumption is made. This article provides an overview of targeted ingredient selection for balanced fish formulations. The characteristics of the most popular plant origin ingredients and their derivatives in the fish pates production are given. A comprehensive assessment of the biological, energy and nutritional value of plant products is given. Described technological approaches and production methods, the safety of vegetable ingredients. The results of research, technological solutions, substantiation of the choice of ingredients adopted by the developers for the formulations of multicomponent pate are summarized. The use of unclaimed raw materials, leftover fish meat with plant ingredients represents additional profit. Fish pate formulations are the basis for the production of complete, ready-to-eat products. Tests of multicomponent fish and vegetable products confirm their high performance. Pates, balanced in nutritional value, minerals, are a finished product that does not require additional preparation. The review article will generate awareness among the researchers, food technologists for the production of fish products and the general public.

The slabs are one of the important structural elements in the buildings and constitute approximately 60% of the concrete size used. The flat slabs are an ideal solution that guarantees the speed and ease of implementation, especially in multi-storey buildings. The phenomenon of punching is a fundamental defect in these slabs, and the Syrian code addressed it to treat it in traditional ways such as making crowns for columns or falls of beams, which creates architectural and technological defects. The research includes conducting laboratory experiments on reinforced concrete slabs and analyzing the results with the aim of strengthening the flat slabs punching within the same thickness of the approved slab by linking the lower and upper reinforcement steel which provides a working principle similar to the trusses. The strength was made using shear studs (distribution case, matrix or diagonal), which in turn raised the efficiency of flat concrete slabs on the punching in terms of durability, deformations, and the breakdown mechanism in this case. The importance of the research lies in the use of locally manufactured elements within the workshop without the need for ready-made shear studs, which reflects positively on the cost and time of implementation.

Roughing operation is used to improve the adhesive properties of footwear upper to footwear bottom polyurethane compositions in the manufacture of special purpose footwear with an upper made of genuine leather by the injection molding method of attachment. Roughing operation is an operation of coating removal and partial removal of the front layer from the protracted edge of footwear upper workpiece. This operation has a disadvantage, it often causes technological defects. A method for increasing the adhesive properties of genuine leather special purpose footwear upper workpiece with a front layer by means of non-equilibrium low temperature plasma modification and technological scheme that allows this operation to be integrated into the production process are considered in the article.
