The special point is a feature unique to models of hybrid neutron stars. It represents a location on their mass–radius sequences that is insensitive to the phase transition density. We consider hybrid neutron stars with a core of deconfined quark matter that obeys a constant–sound–speed (CSS) equation of state model and provide a fit formula for the coordinates of the special point as functions of the squared sound speed (cs2) and pressure scale (A) parameters. Using the special point mass as a proxy for the maximum mass of the hybrid stars we derive limits for the CSS model parameters based on the recent NICER constraint on mass and radius of pulsar PSR J0740+6620, 0.36 < Cs min2 < 0.43 and 80 < A[MeV/fm3] < 160. The upper limit for the maximum mass of hybrid stars depends on the upper limit for cs2 so that choosing cs,max2 = 0.6 results in Mmax < 2.7 M⊙, within the mass range of GW190814.

Abstract This article looks into fictitious meals and the use of culinary recipe form in experimental and procedural literature, namely, works of constrained writing associated with OuLiPo (Ouvroir de Littérature Potentielle). The recipe form is first scrutinized from the procedural, structural, and historical viewpoints, also concerning its lesser-known imaginative and esoteric genealogy. In addition, its connections to the notions of narrativity and fiction are discussed. The recipe's relationship to action is depicted by a simple procedural model. There is a metaphorical and conceptual, but also formal and operational, similarity between the coded procedures of cooking and writing. A recipe is a procedure, a script for an infinity of possible meals, and a literary procedure is a recipe for writing. It is not surprising, then, that Oulipian writers have utilized the recipe form in their food-related works. Four such literary recipes (by Georges Perec, Jacques Roubaud, Harry Mathews, and Alastair Brotchie) are closely examined, after discussion of key concepts of Oulipian poetics from the culinary viewpoint. The article's special point of reference is the parodic, satirical, absurd, and other humorous meanings that literary recipes often seem to produce, which is linked to the operational and structural dimensions of the recipe—its comically posited procedural form.

Frederik Rreshpja, a famous Albanian poet, was born in Shkoder in 1940 and died in 2006. His   first literary work, the poetry collection, "Albanian Rhapsody" was published in 1967. He was imprisoned and served 17 years in prison during the communist regime. After he was released from prison, lived in Tirana and published the volumes "The time has come to die again" - 1994, "Selected lyrics" - 1996, a collection that was announced the best national book of the year, as well the volume of poetry "In solitude " was to be published in 2004.The focus of the article is on the features of the poetic style specifically on the grotesque as an author’s poetic preference that constitutes a special point of view of the author. The grotesque as an archetype of the poetic state in Rreshpa's poetry is conceived as a way of artistic reflection and as a style of writing. The key function of the metaphor-grotesque is the transfer, within the form of expression, from one context to another context with poetic undertones.Grotesque is a way of expression or way of presentation in which exaggerated sides are put together in powerful and unexpected contrast, or the most mixed, distorted and isolated forms of reality…

Abstract We study the magnetic effect in a strongly interacting system with two conserved currents near the quantum critical point (QCP). For this purpose, we introduce the hyper-scaling violation geometry with the black hole. Considering the perturbation near the background geometry, we compute the transport coefficients using holographic methods. We calculated the magneto-transport for general QCP and discuss the special point $(z,\theta)=(3/2,1)$, where the data of Dirac material have previously been well described.

Abstract Pole skipping is a recently discovered subtle effect in the thermal energy density retarded two point function at a special point in the complex (ω, p) planes. We propose that pole skipping is determined by the stress tensor contribution to many-body chaos, and the special point is at (ω, p)p.s. = $$ i{\lambda}^{(T)}\left(1,1/{u}_B^{(T)}\right) $$ i λ T 1 1 / u B T , where λ(T) = 2π/β and $$ {u}_B^{(T)} $$ u B T are the stress tensor contributions to the Lyapunov exponent and the butterfly velocity respectively. While this proposal is consistent with previous studies conducted for maximally chaotic theories, where the stress tensor dominates chaos, it clarifies that one cannot use pole skipping to extract the Lyapunov exponent of a theory, which obeys λ ≤ λ(T). On the other hand, in a large class of strongly coupled but non-maximally chaotic theories $$ {u}_B^{(T)} $$ u B T is the true butterfly velocity and we conjecture that uB ≤ $$ {u}_B^{(T)} $$ u B T is a universal bound. While it remains a challenge to explain pole skipping in a general framework, we provide a stringent test of our proposal in the large-q limit of the SYK chain, where we determine λ, uB, and the energy density two point function in closed form for all values of the coupling, interpolating between the free and maximally chaotic limits. Since such an explicit expression for a thermal correlator is one of a kind, we take the opportunity to analyze many of its properties: the coupling dependence of the diffusion constant, the dispersion relations of poles, and the convergence properties of all order hydrodynamics.

The subject of the article: The article raises several urgent problems of narratology - the question of the «unreliable» narrator in the text, his point of view on the events underlying the history. This paper examines the internal and external point of view in a work with an «unreliable» narrator. A work with an «unreliable» narrator organizes a special point of view on the event hypothesis is put forward. The material is the narrator of V. Nabokov`s story «The Eye». In this text, the narrator's point of view on events, himself in these events and the characters reveals a split into external and internal. The narrator's play with the point of view forms a special type of «unreliable» narrator, which allows the author not only to create an experimental narrative, but also to raise the philosophical problems of memory, self-identification, and consciousness.

The work is devoted to the analysis of the wave field, which is excited by the reflection of the first normal propagation Rayleigh-Lamb wave from the edge of an elastic semi-infinite strip, part of which is rigidly clamped, and part is free from stresses. The boundary value problem belongs to the class of mixed boundary value problems, the characteristic feature of which is the presence of a local feature of stresses at the point of change of the type of boundary conditions. To solve this boundary value problem, the paper proposes a method of superposition, which allows to take into account the feature of stresses due to the asymptotic properties of the unknown coefficients. Asymptotic dependences for coefficients are determined by the nature of the feature, which is known from the solution of the static problem. The criterion for the correctness of the obtained results was the control of the accuracy of the law of conservation of energy, the error of which did not exceed 2% of the energy of the incident wave for the entire considered frequency range. The paper evaluates the accuracy of the boundary conditions. It is shown that the boundary conditions are fulfilled with graphical accuracy along the entire end of the semi-infinite strip, except around a special point ($\epsilon$). In this case, along the clamped end of the semi-infinite strip in the vicinity of a special point of stress remain limited. The presence of the region $\epsilon$ and the limited stresses are due to the fact that the calculations took into account the $N$ members of the series that describe the wave field, and starting from the $N+1$ member of the series moved to asymptotic values of unknown coefficients, the number of which was also limited to $2N$. As the value $N$ increased, the accuracy of the boundary conditions increased, the region $\epsilon$ decreased, and the magnitude of the stresses near the singular point increased.
